Took me 30 losses but I did it. This guy sucks. ;~;

Can I ask you guys something as a battle newbie? My pet Iskir is tier 11 and I'm trying to beat Sophie in order to get a better weapon. I've been able to beat her 3 times with Malignant Rift Staff and Plague Claw, but with my current set (which kinda really sucks), I probably won't be able to beat here anymore than that. Now I wanted to ask if it would make a big difference if I tried to lend Trident or(/and) Prodigy Staff? Or if you guys could suggest anything else? I don't want to spend much more on weapons for the moment -_-;

When it comes to Sophie you want to bring blasters like Recycle Blaster or any weapon that can turn one of hers into junk. Her Lightning (forgot the actual name) blessing is so annoying because it keeps healing her a lot, but without that she tends to be a tad easier if you can get rid of the weapon. It has been a long time so names escape me but I am sure others can be a bigger help.

Also if you don't see her globe/bubble blessing you want to try and chain freeze her to help whittle her down to death. :)

Thanks for the advice! I'm using Recycle Blaster and Truth Serum in order to get rid of some weapons of her set. I'm currently not able to freezer her more than once though, as I was unlucky with Nightlady last year :(

Congratz on all your wins! Actually I think we've got 4 Impossible challengers from the fairy tale series. Cinthi gave me a hard time so I remember her best XD. I tend to mix up some weapons too. Somehow I've got this impression that all things that are deep purple are dark-blockers. Looks like it applies more to ME :D

I think I'm still going to get my stats up a bit more before trying some of the other challengers again, but I just wanted to finish that guy so I didn't have to fight him anymore (except BQs but he's less difficult there).

To be honest if he didn't give out that scroll he (and almost all the other imp. challengers) would be on my procrastination list forever XD. Well forever is an exaggeration but I guess it'd be long enough to consider it forever anyway XD. I don't seem to get along well with challengers that freeze and steal and crit hit. This annoying little squirrel is good at everything!

Yeah, it's the stealing and freezing that are the worst. One round he took literally all of my weapons one right after the other, so I had nothing. What a jerk ~

Hi! ^^ Sure! My set for Sophie is the following: (the last two are probably not the best for this opponent, but I haven't been able to get Reviver Of The Lion yet) The scroll that I use against her is mostly Holy Deluge, as I have no better ones (I also have Cobalt Eternal and Singed Stuffing, but these are not very helpful, and I haven't yet gotten Psycho Smasher or Shrieks).

It happened to me too -- I left the flayed lord breastplate as a steal bait for him and he stole everything leaving me only the breastplate --

Yeah I stopped trying to use my blasters on him to leave for him to steal, and I only used my freezer. But he still preferred taking my weapons and healers instead of the blasters. Eventually I got lucky a few times where he didn't freeze me the first round, and I was able to get him that way.

Truth serum does not work on Sophie as she has stealing disabled. If you have Soma tablets or are planning on getting them, they work as a second blaster.

There are times where I can almost swear these creatures are coded to be clever or something -__- Whenever Chase or Flamagia steals my main weapons I'll forfeit the battle, because with the 10% healing on those weapons they'll be a real pain to deal with.

Hi after looking at your set I'd recommend a few things, in addition to 's suggestion of the weapon to blast/ get rid of. That Lightning should be your number one priority. If you blast/ steal the wrong thing, just forfeit the battle, heal up and start over.

[edit] is right, she doesn't allow stealing so you might need the Soma Tablets.

My recommendation is to prioritise healing over defending, since you can't block her curses anyway and their damage stack very quickly. The Plague Claw's minimal heal (5-8%) will hurt you, Shinwas Temple Shard would be of little help, but you can definitely keep the One Ring. Holy Deluge with 10% heal isn't a bad option; I'm actually not sure which one between them would be better for this opponent between it and the Aftershocks. Have you got other weapons in your armory, preferably those with 9% heal plus?

If it will help you, I can lend Trident and Prodigy Staff, if you replace the mods. Let me know. They are not in my set and sit in my armory.

That's why I battle on my iPhone. No clicking just touching the screen a bazillion times. :P

Dang, I did not know about the Truth Serum -_- Soma Tablets is also one of the things I'm planning to get, it's just that I don't really want to spend large amounts of sP right now because I don't have the time to earn much these days. ? I don't really have any good attacking weapons which heal much, which is why I'm trying to get the Paintbrush Blades… I guess I could try using the Prodigy Staff at least and see if it makes a difference and if not, I'm going to wait a while until I can get better weapons. Which mods do you have for them ? Since it's already late today, I would have to ask you on another day though, if that's not too much of a hassle.

I think Truth Serum is just a crappy weapon now. I'm not aware of a single challenger that it helps with. No reason to own it anymore.
