Impressive! That's a set I would never have thought to put together. I would definitely get rid of Gelaspell though. I've never found its freeze rate to be worth giving up healing for a turn.

I highly recommend retiring the Gelaspell, especially for opponents that are still difficult for us. I only use it when the blue ball was frozen or when I was under the protection of the shield. It's not something I'll risk using when that blue ball is roaming free though.

since I got Aftershocks, I've been using it when using Shinwas Temple Shard, RV, or when an E. Hard or Imp challenger is frozen. And it's the default one in BQ because I know where it's located and click it out of habit (for levels 20 and below) :P

I haven't even attempted Prodigy XD

Now that we're at it I should have recorded my first victories against them. I was so excited I completely forgot to take notes in my battle journal XD.

Yeah, just personal opinion. If you have an enemy frozen and nothing better to do, it's not a bad idea to try it. But I personally would rather use the AP for something more reliable.

[edit] So unrelated, I was just poking through my armory, and the only icon I don't have a good weapon against is light. Did we ever get a decent light blocker? All that's coming to mind is Ultra Star Rod. which is a dark blocker, dummy

For a moment there I thought I had forgotten to write down the equipment used against Snow Fairy, but I just checked, and noticed I did :P

Aftershocks have saved me a lot of tuns, and have even allowed me to try to win battles against GE even when being frozen on the first turn :o

I still love my gelaspell scroll, especially for longer battles. I like to alternate it with the higher % freezing scrolls for longer battles, gets a bit of extra damage on frozen opponents and if you do get the freeze with it you get an extra turn to do some more healing, so I don't miss the lack of heal on it.

I don't know. Gelaspell is one that I use quite a bit on longer battles. I love the heal it gives when I need some help. And it's not once per battle. Especially if someone steals your healer.

Congratz! You've put GE in his proper place now :D I actually think you're powerful enough to win him even if he manages to freeze you first turn, so it means less forfeits now for him so that you can finish BQs in shorter time and can spend the free time enjoying something else ^^

I wonder if they beef it up to 13% freezing rate would it be too powerful?

Thanks to that dummy I only got 17.3k EXP and couldn't finish the month with a hoarded 450k exp :P

@ Maskros Yeah, in their heyday the were basically unbuyable. No one would part with them for any price. Now they drop a little more each year. Course, they used to be a lot more useful before all the challengers started having anti-freeze blessings.

Good advice. I will go that route. Chain freezing Buttwing's butt off. I also disabled my wall of battle text so I'm clueless with what goes on. Lol.

Several thoughts: I didn't realize we got three impossible challengers from the fairy tale series. I forgot how much I love Pobow's curse/bomb/freeze. Maybe this is just me and the way I keep my weapons set up, but it would be so nice if it auto-selected the first two weapons in your set and the first scroll. That's where I keep my main attackers, and it'd be lovely to save three pointless clicks each turn with these higher health challengers. Would also eliminate the accidental "submitting a turn without selecting anything" that happens when I zone out. And lastly, omg I am so tired of clicking I'm done

I'm all in for the auto-select for the first two weapons and scroll, as sometimes I click and drag instead of just clicking and when I got anything blank or text highlighted, I can't select weapons or scrolls, so it's another click to deselect x_x

Best light blocker I can think of is DGR with its, 90 light block. I wouldn't have sold if its heal was more reliable, but 5-8% is icky

butt saying that 150 or whatever they now is still pretty reasonable for a weapon like this

Right! That's the one I was trying to think of, not ultra star rod.

And apparently I have a DGR in my armory... This is what happens when you ditch battling for more than a year. /shame
