I got my Shinigami from BHH and have actually used it quite a lot for my lower tier pets, so I think you should be excited. I hope it works as well for you in the Battle Coliseum as it has for me.

The Frost Thorn has 2 mod slots so I bought (unfortunately no longer in battle shop) 2 wind baguettes. I find the critical hit doesn't happen often whereas these are guaranteed every time.

I wasn't sure what the box did but when I looked it up on SubetaLodge it said it gave plushies. The worth of each plushie is over the box itself & I have a soft spot for plushies so they're now tucked in my collection :D

With all the events that occur, the person might not have even realized... or sometimes RL gets in the way. Can you change the person you're paired with? In my case, I wasn't eager to try it out because friends complained. Time slipped away and I realized late last night if I wanted the achievement I had to sign up. Then Melody said no partner available... heart sank, thinking great I'm too late who else will sign up so late? Well, not long after I got someone. With the gifting empty trees if the person didn't have a wishlist or specifically asked, I would send a Subeautique Invite. So, I figured I'd start off with that & see. The person had sent a low-value elixer at first. Well, the person was so happy to get the invite that he/she sent higher value items. We also exchanged cookies & other fun things. I looked in my vault, found some nice items I winded up getting doubles of that I didn't want to sell (would rather find someone to appreciate), sent some Mage Amulets & Tomes, and other goodies. I got some pretty cool stuff too, including a 1-week gold acc :D It's one of my favs since if I know I'll be on more than usual for a week then I can use it but I don't always know if I'll be able to be on more for a month +. I needed to send 50 items to get the achievement and if the person wouldn't have been very generous it would have been lower end items but I'm glad we both got to have fun... made my night :D I hope next year you find someone wonderful, hugs.

Poukie is t6. She still has over 500 to get to t7 & I have a few items waiting for her. The one thing that's weaker is I usually use a once per battle item that hits harder than usual weapons.

I currently have that does 35 icons of damage. With the mods of my Frost Thorn I do more. It's used as a 2nd weapon but it's a bit weak. I just haven't found anything that suits my small budget (haven't been able to do quests, too overwhelmed/tired these days). At t7 I have that gives minimum 45 icon hit but it's t6 that's the challenge.

It's still an ok set, Poukie is happy... we managed to get lvl 16 in battle quests last night (which was impossible before). Ok, lots of visits & grumbling at the healer but just to beat one of them... and then the hustler was up and reminded us we have much to learn cough Forget the cat in the box... yeah that's one mean cat.

I tried mysterious melody once years ago but haven't done it since. Maybe I should next year to get the achievement. Mainly getting junk from the free shop. After the 1st expensive item and the 100 cash card I've been getting mostly stuff for fragging or selling. Would be nice to get at least one wish list type item. Yeah I know it's free but it's disappointing hearing all the other people bragging on the boards about the great stuff they're getting.

That's not too bad though! It's been a while since my pet was T6, but I remember not really having a clue what I was doing back then. So you're doing alright!

I got a lower cost book on my wishlist but most high-value items I got aren't. Gives me a chance to discover new items :D I even got a few inexpensive plushies & beanbags I didn't have for my collection ^^ We have till Jan 5, hope you find more goodies ;)

I used to battle on neo, which has helped the learning curb here. Still lots to learn though, but it's what makes it interesting ;)

No switching unfortunately. I signed up at 12:01 and had to wait for a partner. They signed up at around 12:15 and I immediately sent the items. They had almost 24 hours to respond and I heard nothing. It is a sad thing, but I have been doing this since it started and I have been to the board every year and I have seen that a lot of people just sign up to have items sent to them. :( No Christmas spirit. Not my first dud partner. I only tried once this year, and I am pretty sure it will be my last unless the rules change like they were supposed to.

So you're stuck with the same person for a day or the whole month? It's unfortunate... other friends complained of bad experiences. In a way, I'm not sure I want to try again because it was such a lovely time. We both sent worthwhile gifts... not because we had to but because it was just a fun way to mark the end of the year & bring cheer. I hope they tweak the system so at the very least you can choose someone else if it's a bad pairing.

It is just for the day thankfully. There was talk last year about adding rules or changing things, but I guess they decided to leave it alone. Shame.

Hum wow, if a person signs up and doesn't respond it's annoying, especially when you have a day. A simple hello would be expected. Those that don't should be given a time out for a few days. Early this morning (before bed) it was my first time so had no idea what I was in for. I'm very thankful for the lovely experience, but the system should be revised to give people that want to have good experiences a better chance. Maybe also a rating of the partner and pairing lower rated ones with each other :P

I wish they would do something about people who send nothing :( Not really sure a rating system is a good idea. You could get a snotty person who only wanted expensive items and they give a low rating to a very nice person out of spite just because their gifts weren't expensive enough. I loved theme items, but some of the items were very cheap. I would toss in a couple of higher priced items, but only went a little overboard later on in the evening if the person was playing along.
