Yeah I know but we don't usually get enough snow to be that much of a problem and the cover I have also covers the side mirrors as well plus I have a long brush/scraper in my car also. But it's only necessary if it snows while I'm at work so I haven't even needed to use it yet even though I got it last winter. We get snow here but generally not deep. Supposed to be a cold front coming through tonight.

- wow, a cover that also protects the side mirrors sounds really nice! So then you just need to clean off the read window if the snow isn't too bad. That's pretty easy. I always had a sun protector inside the front window, but never had a car cover. Maybe I should think about getting one.
I can't remember when we last had really deep snow where it was a problem but it's been awhile now. I do remember when I first bought my home, thinking that I would never need to brush off the car again because I was going to have a garage for the first time ever (my parents home did not have one). Of course, eventually, I realized that I still need to park the car outside when I went places. LOL
Got it from QVC online. It also has a piece that goes inside the door so when you close your door no one can pull the cover off unless they cut it I guess, kind of a security measure. I got the one with snowflakes on it, thought that was appropriate. ;)

- I've never shopped at QVC or any of that sort of place. I like to look at things and compare and take my time. A car cover decorated in snowflakes sounds just right. :-)
I don't normally shop there either but was flipping through channels and saw their presentation and how it worked so went online and ordered it. Just wish we'd get some snow so I could use it. :D

I had a friend who would get bored and order stuff off of QVC. I have a drawer full of rings and necklaces that she gave me.
Speaking of snow, we got 3 inches here last week. That's the most we've had in probably 8 years. It was bad because there are no salt trucks here. Everything iced over.
We didn't get snow, but we got a decent amount of ice last week on like Tuesday/Wednesday, and same deal no real equipment to deal with it. Some TxDOT trucks were going out putting gravel and salt water solution on the main highways to try and keep them from getting too bad, but a lot of roads ended up getting closed for a bit.
And then we had the idiots still trying to go 70 mph and hitting icy parts, even though they were telling people to stay home unless it's an emergency, most businesses were closed anyway.
Gotta love an ice storm in the south, pretty much the whole place shuts down and everyone loses their minds.
Hey and Hi everyone! Ice storms can be so scary :( I would rather just have the snow!
I don't normally shop QVC, I was just flipping through channels but it's nice that I can watch the presentation on TV then just go online and decide whether to order it. Yeah I would rather have snow than ice any day, especially since I drive to work while it's still dark out.

- yes, freezing rain is the worst and then ice storms (freezing rain because it can actually coat more than ice alone). Snow is no problem by comparison. Of course, a car cover probably just makes it harder in freezing rain because then you have to figure out how to get the cover off the car without shredding it. :-)
Snow (and ice, of course) can be a big problem places where you don't normally get it, but that's mostly because you have no equipment to deal with it and drivers don't understand how to drive safely in those conditions. My Dad always used to say I should stay home during the first big storm of the winter if possible until everyone relearned their winter driving skills. Of course it's far worse in places where people haven't learned how to drive in those conditions to begin with.
Okay nature, can we please have some snow (not too much and without any ice if possible) for StarShadow so she can check out her cool new car cover?
Yeah, freezing rain is what we got to begin with during our storm, before it got even colder and then it turned to sleet/more solid ice.
The low air temperature in Houston got down to 19 or 20 one night. They said on the news it hadn't gotten that cold here since 1996, so definitely not a common occurrence for us.
Quick drop in hello. I've been busy in RL & exhausted. Eyes tired isn't helping, take care all :)
Yeah and too many people think that their big SUVs mean that they can drive any way they want and they will be safe.
Actually the windshield cover I got is a special fabric that doesn't freeze to the window. Neat. Now if we'd just get some snow so I could try it out.
Edit: We did get some snow last night but not much, just enough to frost everything and make it pretty. I like when it snows on the weekend so I don't have to drive through it to get to work. ;)

Thinking about changing my HA again. That is the problem with having so many great wearables come out at once. I want to wear all of them lol!
