My tree is already up :P (didn't take it down last year...shhhhh). I put the lights around the living room window. I am hoping to do more decorating in my little window ledges outside. I wish I had more space.

Though I may admit partial defeat and buy a few cheap Barbie shoes from eBay or something too.

I reckon it's pretty common, imagination does have a tendency to run and run! But if you're not able to do it, it is much better to be honest and upfront. Otherwise you just feel bad for saying 'yes' and not managing things.

Have fun with the tree decorations! I think we're going to try and get ours done over the weekend, though we have a family 21st birthday too, so how 'well' people will be after that will be another matter... Checking supplies I may need more lights too. At least there are plenty to choose from.
Aw, the vintage tree sounds lovely. It's a shame that pets and decorations clash, but I guess it has to be about safety in the end. Or fastening things to the ceiling...

Laptop froze last night while I was almost done with me post....on to take 2.

We had the deviled eggs with pulled beef sandwiches. Next we'll make chicken noodle soup.

It does feel strange. I hope it heals soon, but I did bruise it again yesterday after I smacked it on something.

They do see a lot of use every day as well.

It was over a year ago that I looked in it and at the time I had a free Amazon Prime trial. I'll have to do some research to see if I can find a no fee rewards credit card.

Wow, talented puppy! But its good that the chocolate didn't harm it too badly. We've put everything up on shelves that are at least 8 to 10 ft off the ground, so she shouldn't be able to reach any of it. I'm sure she will enjoy being outside. She's been a pretty naughty puppy the last few days (chewing on a wall, the garage door, and chewing a hole in her bed), so we'll be building a pen for her outside, so she can be out during the day.

Its very easy to spend money. I spend more money yesterday on groceries and I'll spend more on Sunday when my horse's hooves are trimmed.

If I could leave my tree up year round, I would. I'm sure I could find seasonal decorations to use. Last year, I left my tree up until mid-January, until Chris wanted the extra space back between the tree and the couch. I've got lots of Christmas decorations, but not enough shelves, so I'll have to figure something out. I also have some window clings that I might finally be able to put up. I'd put decorations outside but the raccoons and opossums would ruin them.

I think this should be the end of tire issues for now. I just need to get a new spare tire at some point because the current one saw quite a bit of use in the last four months. I'll find out how these new tires handle snow and ice, hopefully they handle it well.

Thanks! If I don't get a mini quilt finished by the 10th, I'll at least try to have a quilt top. Its for the family Christmas with Chris's grandpa. A few years ago everyone was asked to bring a gift in a brown paper bag, everyone would pick one of the bags (after they were mixed) and then guess who brought the item in the bag. I thought that the people who picked the bag would keep the items, but essentially we are bringing a gift for ourselves, so I try to bring something I've made (chainmaille earrings last time). My mother-in-law quilts, so if I can get the quilt finished, most people will probably think she brought it. Handmade dolls clothes are so nice. My mom made clothes for some of my bigger dolls, and its something I'll keep forever.I watched a video on Facebook awhile back that showed simple outfits to make for barbies. The put cling film on the dolls feet and covered it with hot glue, shaping it as it cooled to look like a shoe, then they painted them.

I have a great imagination, necessary for 10 hour car rides to visit family. I also have an issue with saying no and not feeling bad about it. I did get a bit better about that with a previous job though.

Tree isn't up yet, but hopefully tonight. Ruger was a naughty puppy last night, chewing on things she shouldn't and then not listening to Chris when he called her over as I came up the drive way. So we watched a movie and relaxed. I've got 6 strands of lights now, but I think I only have one strand of silver tinsel. Don't know why I didn't buy more than one after Christmas last year. I have white tinsel but its showing its age with some bare spots. The vintage tree is very lovely. It's a St. Nick Tree, and there were a few for sale on Etsy and eBay but that was a year ago. I left it up for the whole year at the duplex because I like it so much. I may need to glue some glitter back on to it at some point though. Pistachio (parents' cat) loves to chew on the tree. He's never tried climbing it, but loves to lay underneath it and chew on the low branches. I think my mom could put up a four foot tree on a little table, then the cat couldn't bother it.

I'd rather shop at a thrift store any day (or a garage sale)! 😄 I've found numerous pairs of jeans for less than $6 that typically sell for close to $100 and I've found a few name brand shirts that still have the tags. The only store I got suckered into buying from on Black Friday, was Gamestop, because they had new games priced at half off or more, so it was cheaper to buy a new game over a used one. The bookstore in the mall had a "sale", but all it was was buy 3 books, get the fourth one free. There wasn't a price reduction on books at all.

I still have all my old VHS tapes, just need a VCR, or slowly find the movies on DVD or Blu-Ray.

Managed to find the time to finish quests last night, I'll try to get the finished again today.

Well, the winter weather has certainly set in here - though it's cold rather than snowy at the moment. -1ºC is not fun for an asthmatic with a cough!

On the plus side, I am now about 75% through my festive shopping, I have mainly top up gifts/stocking fillers and the food bit to finish off. But some stores don't stock certain food items until later in December, so that's a bit of a waiting game...

It's funny, as a kid my big dream in life was to make clothes for my doll collection, and what do you know, living the dream! I am easily pleased.
xD I like the theory of making my own doll shoes, but I think Id be too scared of melting something on the doll itself with the glue gun! Some folks make them with ploymer clay, and there are some lovely designs. Maybe one day I will have a go.

It's important to have control over the word 'no' or you can end up very put-upon and feeling stressed and worrying about letting people down. Go for quality helping when you actually can.

My niece & family did their tree today, and are decorating after school tomorrow. We will get ours done Sat/Sun - big tree and pizza party for the Sunday, I believe. As long as we don't put any pizza on the tree... My other half is very happy as he's ordered some Deadpool baubles for the tree! He is not a fan of decorating, so at least this makes him feel part of things.

A tinsel overhaul is just the thing you need. Bald tinsel is very hard to work with. If a few running repairs help the old tree last longer, thats a good idea.

It's always funny when new games are cheaper than second hand, worth the black friday silliness for those ones. That 'sale' was verging on untrue, surely they should have called it an 'offer' or something. Very tricky. One of my favourite skirts I got second hand with tags was £25 in shops - £3 to me! Huzzah! After Xmas is a great time for charity/thrift shopping, I will be looking for 'out with the old' and 'unwanted gifts'.

Me too! There have been some top-notch wearables released this year (the past few years, really). But anyway, I always like seeing the new items they come up with, and especially if some of those items are things that other users had requested. I still super appreciate how seriously they take user feedback here, especially compared to some other sites.

Yeah, I like reading the ideas on the suggestions boards - there are some very creative folks out there, and staff are great at turning ideas into items. :) Still kind of hoping for novelty silly Xmas jumpers, though there's less of a classic or glamorous factor there!

I would love to see some funny sweaters and stuff! I think there might be some CW items like that, but I'm not sure.

I'm really hoping for some kind of fireplace backdrop that isn't a CW. Not even necessarily decorated for Luminaire, but we don't have any sort of fireplace official site item right now, and they've been doing such lovely interior backdrops lately I think it would be really nice to have one.

That's true actually, we have quite a few external snowy/seasonal backgrounds, but only a limited number of interiors.
Perhaps an 'empty fireplace' one and to compliment it a 'dressed for Luminaire' one using the same fireplace image?
Maybe something Melody themed too - gift wrapping station backgrounds or Vanya's toy workshop. Lots of possibilities for foreground/background combos too.
