No, we don't need any more donations. It was just during the NPC challenges, some people donated to the group to help people buy more stuff for the event.

Just my 2 cents but...is it even possible to see who donated what? Because if you start saying, tell me how much you donated and I'll give it back if you don't know who donated what, I think that'll just open up a can of worms. I'm not saying people won't be honest, but there's always that chance, and that might cause some friction. I think the fairest thing to do is the contest - among team Steele only. Pick out say 5 or 6 good prizes of various types so there's something for everyone (meaning battlers, those that care about wearables, those that care about collections, those that care about CSC or SP etc), a few smaller ones, and just do some kind of raffle thing.

I would really love a contest! I guess the question is should it be just a raffle or actually a contest? Contest seems more like it would require certain skills and we want everyone to able to participate, so I'm not sure what kinda of contest we should have.

But had a good idea about creating contest categories, since that will appeal to more people.

I think a raffle would be the fairest way to share out the money because the RNG is definitely unbiased (well, not technically, but in terms of people, anyway).

well, I see a lot of people here that were on Team Shark (you, cazarell, sanguine...). So we could decide to let the sP rot in this group until the next event, as said. That'd demand from us a sense of team work, since we all would need to join the same team again.

Since joining the same team could cause a problem for some people (maybe not even now, but when the next event arrives and they don't fell like joining the team most of Team Blake decides), an agreement could be made to allow the admins to close the group admissions and spread the sP for the next event between those who need it. A maximum amount should be discussed, I guess (2m or 5m per user), that way it could help a nice amount of people and no team would take advantage, asking for 20m+ at once...

I just think the sP was donated with one purpose: to help people with no sP helping Team Blake. And that should be the final purpose of that amount. Contests or giveaways wouldn't incentive people to donate in the future, since they'll not fulfil the purpose the donators had, but instead will go to a few lucky users. Sharing the amount between eveyone wouldn't be the answer either, I believe, because people who donated 10m will get 400k back, and people who didn't donate anything (like me) will get something anyway...

I came up with a few ideas that just about anyone on SUbeta could do.

  1. Cosplay avatars using only non-CW/items from trunks. With the 'see all wearables on subeta' thing in the wardrobe, you dont need to buy anything (but if you like something and have the sP/CSC, thats on them)

  2. Most cluttered HA you could possibly make.

  3. cosplay HA using only CWs

Unfortunately, there is no way for the owner or admins to tell who donated how much.

I'm not sure what should be done with what's left from the NPC challenge donations, I just thought that having them all in one place instead of split between two groups would be better. And then it can be figured out.

I totally feel that way. If you donated (I didn't) you probably thought about helping other users who didn't have the budget to afford stuff for the plot (like me, who got 2.5k tokens and a week GA (always grateful!)), so it's unfair to do a raffle and letting everything go away into few users (even if it's 100 out of 610, it's still a small amount). Sharing it evenly would also be a solution, as said above. I say a contest. And I would love to have prize categories like

  • Weapons
  • Wearables (separated into other categories like Cash Shop / r110 / etc)
  • Potions
  • Collections (plushies, books, beanbags)

idk what else

[edit] splitting the sP into two groups like it is right now will just cause more confusion and distress. It's much better to have it all into the TeamBlake group.

That's nessisairly true or bad. If a person donated sP/items for the sole purpose of helping the team win, then it is ok to ask for their donations back. Full amount or partial. Next time a plot rolls around, while it is nice to have a team reserve, people might be more willing to donate directly to people who need the boost. This will cut down the work load for the group admins, and gives people an opportunity to properly thank the contributor. im looking at all of u, anon donators and gifters.

I don't think it's a lot of work to withdraw sP and give it away when the next plot comes (I wouldn't mind, actually). I just think a reserve is nice bc donors will need to waste less in the next event. And the direct donations are the best way, sure, but in this case a lot of people donated to the bank bc they'd be ausent or busy for some time, and at that moment no one was needing.

Yeah I am going to be moving it, just maybe not today. still has her ticket open regarding the missing sP from earlier (although I think it's been sorted out already), but I'm waiting for her to tell me when that's done and then I'll move the OTT bank into the Team Blake one.

In y experience, its not a lot of work either. If the site glitches, yeah it can be a pain. BUt otherwise it might take 30 seconds if you're slow about it.

Now Im thinking a bit of stuff like the Veritas/Ahoy contest challenge...thing. Well, not teams of 2 maybe, but the contest type things?

Whoever wants to sign up, signs up, then when the sign-ups are closed, figurre out if teams would be a better idea than individually (say 150 people want to participate, would teams of 2 or however much be better than for each their own?

Then when each round is done, and winners are chosen, prizes centered around the theme for it (Like off the top of my head, dressing as a character from a book, and the prize is some 'expensive' books, or something book related)

We shouldn't be spending the bank reserve straight after the plot ends, that's for sure. Gives people time to request donations back. The issue isn't if people want donations back, the issue is what to do with the donations people don't care about. There have been a few people on this thread claiming they wouldn't care what happens with their donations.

That's the beauty of the survey too. People who donated can vote and share their opinions instead of having the group admins guess. Not to mention, next plot will be having new teams. Or no teams at all. This will make spending sP even more difficult.

I agree that putting it all together makes the most sense, and will be easier to keep track of. :)

Since the admins can't tell who donated what, I think it's kind of sketchy to open it up to people asking for SP back when you can't be sure they even donated to begin with. Again, I'm not saying that for sure people would be dishonest, but making this an option certainly opens it up to the possibility that someone(s) could be.

As far as letting it rot till the next event...that kind of forces people to join the next team if they want to share in the SP donated (and who gets to decide which team is chosen - it might not even be related to Blake or Elwood like Mischief and Adventure have been). In the end, SP you donated to this event might end up being used against you in the next event if you don't want to join the team that ends up with access to this SP.

Sharing it equally might seem the fairest in some respects, but how many people are really on the team? How many actually took part? That's a crapton of work for the admins to start doling out SP to all those people.

At least with a contest, or a raffle, whichever, everyone would have the chance to take part (of those that wanted to) and possibly win something.

In the end, I don't think that there will be an answer here that 100% of the team are going to agree on unfortunately. I personally didn't donate, so I don't feel particularly attached to the SP - but I know that if I HAD donated, I'd want the SP to be used in a contest or raffle where users on our team had the chance to win some fun/useful items.

I was so confused when I got this ping. I forgot that the place where forum group donations go is also called vaults and was trying to figure out why people wanted to ask the team for opinions on what to do with their sP, lol.

I didn't personally donate anything aside from giving someone Wizard Tokens iirc, but then I did spent over 15mil on this event trying to win that second item drive haha, so I suppose my opinion isn't... entirely irrelevant? I don't think dividing up the sP is very feasible. A contest is a pretty good idea but I'm not totally sold on it. A raffle could be good too! Especially if it's a raffle with plenty of smaller prizes.

I think that firstly the people who donated should have the opportunity to ask for some sP back, but I'm sure that not everyone will feel like they need it back. x) Admins and people who did the most to keep track of things, keep the group up-to-date etc, should get a cut of any sP that goes unclaimed, because it in't easy to keep up on this stuff! There is the risk of people claiming to have donated when they, uh, didn't, but I'm not sure how big of a problem that would be exactly. s: This is a pretty difficult decision to make, really.

actually I was only joking, when I said that.

The survey/poll page listed "left to rot" as an option to vote on. I found that hilarious, quoted it and added "for the next plot". That's why it's followed by a smilie.

It would of course be an option, if we were a really close group. Yet, as you said, it is unlikely, everybody will join the same team again next time.

I'm still voting for returning it to the people that donated in the first place. May also be hard to tell, but I'd ask those, who contributed a considerable amount to inform the group admins (so they wish to have something returned). Counting on people's honesty there. I guess, if I were them (which I am not, shame on me), I'd probably not be happy to have it "wasted" on frills and furbelows if it didn't get used for the intended purpose.

That was one of my ideas, too, and indeed still believe, if not returning everything to the donators, the people, who did the work here for us deserve a "tip" ;-)
