Um, hi, are we the same person? My sis-in-law also found a baby cottontail and decided to keep it as a pet! It wasn't until the whole family stepped in and convinced her that she was doing it harm by spoiling it and keeping it in the house, that she finally relented and took it to a wildlife reserve, where a rescuer was willing to take the baby in. They are so incredibly cute though - so fluffy and sweet :)

Elvis is a character that is for sure. He is 13 years old and has a personality all his own lmao! He steals soda bottles if my friends set them on the floor, he pops the cover off and has a taste of what is in it. If he doesn't like it he leaves the bottle alone, however if he finds he likes what is in side he finds away to to get out the contents to drink it. I know caffeine is not good for dogs but he has a fit if he does not get to have some of my favorite drink which is mountain dew. I am sure he thinks he is more human than dog cause I talk to him all the time like he is a person. I am very thankful for my Elvis, he helps keep me grounded and sane. ;)

Thank you!!! I still do have a long way to go, honestly, but I'm trying not to focus on the end game as much as how to get there. Y'know, baby steps. I try to stay positive! It's hard, but I used to have to force myself to look on the bright side. After awhile, you sort of get into a habit of it. :P

He scanned my drawing and set it as his profile picture (maybe to make life easier for me haha). Well I was so thrilled and nervous at the same time it took me one week to actually send him a friend request. We went out for a short while after that, but it's a pity we just didn't work out as a couple because we were different in many ways, but he's still a very nice person. He's been keeping that drawing as his profile picture for 7 years, so I guess if there is one big thing that we share in common it's our cherishing that memory back then :)

I identify so much with this! We moved from Europe to Canada and I only had my parents+brother growing up and not too many friends, so it was pretty lonely. When I visit my extended family back home, it's just the best feeling ever to have "your people" around you. I'm really glad you were able to experience that as well, and I hope you get to go back many more times to create even more happy memories :)

I have two favorite memories. The first one was when I first got my dog Rose. When we went to the humane society she was curled up and shivering in the back of the kennel she was in. We met her and she wasn't very social and she didn't wag her tail or anything. But I felt a connection with her and we adopted her. We had to come back the next day because she had to get fixed and for the whole car ride home she sat on my lap and cuddled as close to me as she could. When we got her home she was super shy and I figured she would be a calm dog. I was totally wrong! The next day she was hyper and crazy and wanted to play with everything. As I type this shes loosing her mind because she saw a squirrel in the backyard! I have no idea how to post pictures otherwise I'd post one of the many pictures I have of her. Shes a German Shepherd mix and shes almost 3 years old.

My other favorite memory is when I married my husband. The day before my dad and I took a road trip from Arizona to Colorado with my dog in the back seat. I think it took like 12-14 hours. We finally got there and my dad helped us unpack and then I had to drive him to the Airport. The next day Connor (my husband) and I went down to the courthouse. We didn't get all dressed up or have any witnesses but it was still perfect. We've been married almost 2 years now and its amazing!

Traveling makes me so happy. I especially love the ocean. It's my happy place. It's such a grounding experience for me. It reminds me how large this world is and how minuscule my problems are. I took this photo this past January when I was in the Caribbean with my family. I overlayed the adventure text through an app I have on my phone. It is one of my favorite pictures I have. It's on my desk at work, among other travel photos, and it reminds me to just breathe and stay relaxed; an adventure is just around the corner. Anyway, one of my best memories is the day I graduated from high school. Going to school for me was tough and even at one point I wanted to drop out, so I thought that this day would never come, but it did, thanks to my family's support in helping me change schools (which was an hour away from home), and spending an extra year in school. So graduating was a big deal. The people who came to celebrate with me were just my parents and brother. But it was great, because my dad never goes anywhere, so it was a really special occasion.

When we got to the place where the ceremony was, it was raining, so everyone got soaked and we had to sit like that throughout the whole thing. But it was totally worth it because it was so funny seeing everyone panic about a little water.

It was so nerve racking when it was time to walk across the stage and accept my diploma. And apparently I hesitated because someone said afterwards that they thought I wasn't going to walk! But once I looked at that diploma, I started to cry because I was so happy (although seeing my mom cry probably didn't help). Then later on in the evening, we met with the teachers for the last time.

When it was finally over, my family went out to eat burgers for dinner and went home. But it was so satisfying. And every time I look at that diploma now, I can't help but smile.

My little doggy had surgery to remove an eye a few days ago and it was awful. But she's a tiny little fighter and the happy part is that we took her off of her pain medicine and she's healing great and wagging her tail and is still her adorable little self. Couldn't be happier or more thankful.

This is my baby girl she was born Nov 2014 She is so much fun and fun loving she can make many people smile she is just starting to learn everything and It is very different then when her brother was her age so its a whole new world for us all :)

I hope she does. It was rough for me to see, because it's the kind of thing I've taken for granted. Hell, in second grade, I had a birthday party with rented ponies. But for her, eight friends cards against humanity, and a giant bowl of chocolate mousse was the best party she'd even had. She's mildly autistic, and hasn't had many close friends. But I hope she realizes that we were all really happy to spend our fourth of July with her, because she's our friend, and we care a lot about her.

As for Moony, I've actually seen him catch things; he just lays there until they think he's a rock or something, then he grabs them. It's the best xD

I don't know if this will make you smile but it does for me. Something that makes me smile is knowing that after a lot of struggles and hard work my mum is finally in a safe and happy environment in her own home. Most of her life has been horrible and riddled with domestic abuse and mental illness and from a very young age I have tried very hard to support her and give her the life she deserves as she is a wonderful woman who didn't deserve what she got from people in her life. She is finally out of that period of her life I moved cities brought her up here with me paid for her move to get her away from horrible people, she got her own home and we filled it with new things after selfish people took almost everything she had. Every week when I go over for dinner or visit her it always makes me feel so good knowing shes happy and finally free from volatile people who tried to control her, shes started a course, shes looking for work and shes made friends. I helped give her a new life, one she tried very hard to get on her own and now I get to watch her enjoy it. That means the world to me :)

- My happy moment :) I adopted my kids two years ago and last year we didn't get to see the fireworks on the 4th because I was in hospital. This year, my husband set up this grand event for the kids, where he tied the fuses of several artillery shells together and sent them off, and seeing the kids' joy was amazing. I think he spent waaay to much - but their faces was worth it.

oh wow that does sound almost the same xD those sister in laws I tell ya -_- and they are super sweet <3 it made me want to get a bunny after I released her but I have waaay to many animals already lol and htank you so much for the gifts I love them soooooo much!!! <3
