This was in...2013, I'd like to say? It was a huge family trip with my second cousins (don't even want to go into that ordeal of what a second cousin is...) and we went to the Bahamas. We pretty much ate until we had to nap, napped in the fanned rooms or out on the lounge chairs on the beach, and swam in the lukewarm water. This was every single day and it wasn't boring at all. This picture was the "funny take" that we snapped and I just feel like it captured the whole atmosphere and mood back then - when everything was simple, enjoyable, and happy.
Thank you for doing this! c: The picture below was taken in 2012 and is one of my favorites and most memorable because this picture made me realize that I love taking nature pictures, and what helped me convince my parents to get me a better quality camera (which I still use today)

Not sure if this is still going on ? But thank you for the chance ❤️
First up there's my boyfriend (and best friend!), with his 3 year old daughter Alexis c: Taken the day before last, these pics make me super happy because it's the first time he's seen her in around 5 months due to issues between him and Alexis' mum! That, and they're both SO CUTE! ❤️ Next there's one of my dog, Kia - she never fails to make me smile on a bad day c: And last but not least, one of my favourite selfies of me and my two cousins (I'm at the front!), this one makes me smile because it was taken at our Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary - and I very rarely get photos with the two of them together! Thank you again!

I hope I'm not incredibly late.
This is my baby girl, Naya. She just turned 3 last month!

I rescued her after convincing a former friend to let her go. Naya has been in our lives since she was 2 months old, a rescue baby from the shelter being the only of her litter with no adoptions pending. She had lived with my friend for 2 years of her life until I had gone over to their house and saw her living conditions. She was chained to a tree 24/7 in the Florida heat with only a couple of feet to reach shelter. Her bed was covered in feces and urine, dirt, vomit, and fleas. Knowing my friend, I'm sure she was rarely fed. I almost broke down in tears after seeing her sweet face out there. My friend had no problem giving her to me, as I picked her up the next day. It took 3 baths to rid her of all the fleas; she was literally covered. She was also underweight, but we fixed that right away.
The picture above is her in her birthday pool! She absolutely loves the water. She's a giant baby who thinks she's a lap dog, and can't stand it when anyone leaves the house. She's made her home here, and I wouldn't give her up for the world. She helps me cope with my panic disorder as well.
Oh, she also loves tennis balls. We had a box of 30, but now we're down to 5. She brings one to bed with her every night, and we call it her "teddyball". Much love. <3

- 'post something happy' - so broad. It's deeply tempting to post my entire cat album on my phone, but I shall refrain unless requested - I do have kitties who fell asleep hugging, a cat who sleeps in my laundry hamper, and that same cat who sleeps on my back or my lap but only when I'm on the computer, and sits at the window looking out like he's waiting for Santa...I will do it! Without much prodding. I'm just a tad lazy because they're all on my phone.
Instead I will share with you my favorite art piece that I created:
Artish Within
I made it in high school art class when we were learning about pastels. Our task was some sort of feet/memory project - I don't remember the details, but I do remember wrinkling my nose at it like 'what are we even supposed to make with that topic?' And I remembered that like many little girls, I once had wanted to be a ballerina, so taking that and how they're kind of semi-famous for the freaky things they have to do with their feet for the art, I managed to cobble together this idea of a little girl seeing herself grown up and as a beautiful, adored ballerina while she practiced in class. The fractured mirrors were supposed to be some sort of way of showing just how far away that future was, and how it could get blurred with time and how childhood dreams are beautiful but tend to fade away, but I'm not sure that's what most people get out of it when they look at the picture. That's also not a particularly happy interpretation so...to keep it happy...Ahhhh....It won third prize in a competition :D I'm still really proud of that. (Though my pastel landscape won second in its category, and a scratchboard I made won first in its, this picture is the one I poured myself into the most and has the most meaning to me. Landscapes are nice and my scratchboard was the great mysteries of ancient Egypt which can be artistically enchanting, but I am more connected to the dreams of kids. It ties into how badly I want a job where I can inspire people and help them find that moment where they can truly believe that their biggest dreams are possible. But that's neither here nor there.)
