Jasimha, based roughly on the Asian name for the beast with an elephant head and lion body
Well since a couple people suggested Puerh, why not Shengcha? It can be ancient and dark when aged (like give that stuff a decade and it gets beautifully dark) or young, fresh (at times horribly bitter with killer Chaqi) and the colors match the ones provided closer than older sheng or shou.
Other evocative tea names that could work with the aesthetic: Lushan Yunwu which is clouds and mist green tea, giving it that dreamy feel. Chaqi it is basically just tea energy to evoke the spirit energy. Jinxuan meaning Golden Lily, a name for a varietal of Taiwanese oolong (and currently what I am drinking) Yancha a type of tea from Wuyi that I admit to just liking the name.
Or you know, Yashi Xiang, just to watch the Dancong obsessed do a spit take when the see that as a name!
Phantee/Phantea, Teasprit, Mamotea/Mamothee/Mamothea, Yerbalte
The meanings are quite simple coming from the pets described traits: elephant like, tea, spirits. Phant standing for both elephant and phantom. Then there's Mamotea and it's variants more like mammoth, but because this gentle natured subeta pet seems to be quite a mom too. 😌 Yerbalte comes from the type of herbal tea yerba mate and start with that letter Y. 😊
Omashu cervicapra
These are graceful grazing types of mammels. Females and young of this large-size species are usually pinkish in color peaceful anilmals and very loyal the gather and remain in groups too keep safe. The males are grey in color as they mature until they become almost dark grey too black they are considered one of the fastest land mammals in Shengui Guo and can reach speeds of up to 50 miles per hour when protecting their young If your lucky enuogh too come across one of theese magnificent creatures it is said that your life becomes peaceful and good fortune follows you wherever you go but too hurt such a majestic creature the darkness of the male will haunt you forever.
Yumera (which is mix of the words dream and lion in japanese)
Tsuku (I just like it, it means electricity comes in)
Bakadook (dook dook!!!!)
Akitora (crystal tiger?)
Tao Main (.... well you said he was wise!)
Quath
Derived from "The Quaternary Period" and "Mammoth".
The Quaternary Period includes the Pleistocene epoch when Mammoths used to roam around all over the world, including Asia. But here it would be Shengui Guo, ofcourse! :D

The Llewlevant, because Llew is lion in Welsh, and elefant is elephant in lots of langugaes... And if it has a trunk and a mane, it sounds like a cross between the two animals! And switching the f to a v makes it sounds more mysterious, and not too obvious...
Or the Llewbaku, combining the welsh lion with the mythological baku, an elephant-like creature...

Caelyx
I don't know anything about what it's supposed to be or what it is based on, but Caelyx feels right to me.
I like the name Menghua suggested by someone earlier because it sounds very gentle and kind, very fitting of someone who enjoys tea. Meng itself is associated with dreams and wishes c: Since it has a long nose, tusks, and a mane that flows like it's made of spirit energy, hua represents that characteristic completely.
Im upvoting for the name Menghua!
Cheers!
A couple of other users have said some that I reallty like such as Phantasma Phantas
I also like Pachyfern (pachyderm but it seems like pet has leaves all over it, hence fern)

Quliena!
Wow you guys, 18 pages when I come back from my night of sleeping?! This is so much more than I thought we'd get! Now please slow down because otherwise this thread will be 150 pages long by the time it closes D: D: D:
I'm going to add some notes to the first post just to try to stop some repeat names happening. There are some lovely names suggested in here, and I'm loving some of the ways you've created these names by blending other words and concepts together.
Definitely one name in particular is sticking out to me right now. I was hoping not to fall in love with anything just yet!
