"Neat, ain't they?" He asked Millie. "When I first saw 'em I couldn't get enough o' 'em." He laughed at Fade's remark, "well it is good exercise for us too. Shake a treat bag, that's 'ow I get Kippers to come ta me." Happily Magnus greeted Gaia who seemed to be in good spirits. It was nice everyone seemed to enjoy the gnomes already given some of the other creatures weren't such a big hit. "How are ya Gaia?"
Sauvage blinked the sun out of her eyes as she walked onto the Quidditch field. It felt like she hadn't seen daylight in weeks after locking herself away in the library to study. Once her eyes adjusted to the sight before her, she grinned wildly and broke into a sprint. "YEEESSSSSSS!!!!!" She might've been late, but just by glimpsing at all the familiar little holes in the ground she knew what today's subject was.
She darted past and couldn't help but laugh when she saw struggling. Coming to a halt in front of Magnus (), she began bouncing in place, words spilling from her mouth. "I am so so so so 'appy! I 'ave not played with gnomes since I last visited my grand muzzer. Oh! Zis is just an activity I've missed; my family hasn't 'ad a garden since we left France."
And with that, Sauvage skipped over to pluck up some feisty gnomes.
Sam laughed out loud when she walked onto the pitch and spotted the gnomes. Her shoulder was a little sore from quidditch practice, and this would be a good work out.
"Hiya" she called to Magnus, as she ambled over.
"This is great! I haven't had a good gnome toss since my pa bought a couple of jarveys for the garden. Once school started, ma couldn't keep up with the little beasts by herself, and nearly broke her ankle in a gnome hole, so now the cuss-weasels keep them in check for her."
Tapping the ground in a quick Shave-and-a-haircut rythm, she waited for a curious gnome to investigate. Grabbing it by the legs before it could dive back into its hole, she swung it around over her head enthusiastically, and flung it hard, far over the hedges.
De-gnoming is dirty work....
Magnus was beyond pleased that everyone was so happy with the creature he chose. Sauvage greeted him happily and Magnus had waved at her, since she'd ran off to de-gnome. Then Sam appeared. "Ey Sam," he said with his customary crooked smile, "glad you're 'appy. I love 'em too. You should come down to me 'ouse during the break, you can degnome all you want." He watched as she grabbed one by the legs... Yes, everyone was having a grand time it would seem.
“Would if I had any, got some I could borrow?” He asked Magnus () with his back turned and he didn’t see approaching. His hair washed from bright yellow into lime green when she scolded him. Shaking off the surprise the colors dimmed. “Apologies Sensei.” He had been eager to learn, but had a hard time with being patient and ended up bitten more than a few times.
Fade then decided it would be wise to investigate some of the other student’s approaches on the matter. Sam () seemed to have a pretty solid technique worked out. he noticed had a technique similar to his own, but was obviously much better at it that he was. When he realized he was staring he turned sort of pink and quickly began hunting for another gnome of his own.
Gaia walked over to Fade and mess his hair "You will get there grasshopper" then giggled. "You know you could just sing to them... that might help!" Gaia was being mischievous but this was one of her favorite things to do back home. All though the gnomes in her farm where a lot nicer since her grandma fed them all the scraps and made them beds in the garden. Gaia shook her head smiling. ()
"Treats? What kind?" Magnus crossed over to his bag, half his body dissappeared and he came back out with 15 bags. "Lets see, Timmothy hay cubes for Freddy.... Owl treats... Beef Jerky otherwise known as 'uman treats..." he tossed all those bags back in his rucksack. "Ah! 'Ere we go... Got liver and chicken, Cod an' sol, Beef and cheese..." He still had about 5 more bags but finnaly just chucked an unopened bag to Fade. "'Ere 'ave the 'ole bag."
Sauvage sat center in a circle of gnome holes, quietly humming along and rhythmically patting the ground with her hands to the tune of her song. It only took a few notes before the first gnome popped its little head up form the ground. "Hey ! !" She snatched up the squirming gnome, and another that came to investigate the commotion, then wiggled her eyebrows before winding back her right arm.
"CATCH!"
And the gnomes went flying. Before looking back to see if either caught the gnomes, Sauvage glimpsed down to see if there might be another gnome running around that she could toss to Magnus (), who didn't seem to be doing much gnome-throwing, or to that other person she hadn't met with the cool hair ( ).
Sam was having so much fun seeing how far she could chuck gnomes, that she actually managed not to blush her usual beet red, when Magnus invited he to his home.
"WHOOT!" she shouted as she sent another grubby little creature flying.
"Yeah! That'd be awesome! she laughed.
Hearing a voice yell "CATCH" she looked around in time to grab a gnome hurtling towards her. Spinning on her heel she let fly, and cheered as the flying gnome sailed clean through the lowest quidditch hoop.
"WOO! 'Ey, nice catch!" Sauvage said as she walked over to the unfamiliar face. "I don't sink we 'ave met? I'm Sauvage, third year in 'ufflepuff."
Sam might not have blushed but Magnus sure was, though he was thrilled she sounded so happy at the prospect of visiting his family. He was very content to watch everyone have so much fun. It was refreshing after some more difficult club meetings. He milled around to make sure everyone was getting on okay and check to make sure no one needed anything. When he came back to Sam, Sauvage was introducing herself to Sam.
"Pleased t'meetcha" Sam smiled at . "Ma saddled me with Samantha, but I prefer Sam..., less frilly sounding y'know. I'm in Slytherin. I was supposed to be a prefect, but a niffler stole my badge. Are you from France?"
Aria ran to the quidditch field and breathlessly and ran up to the group. She tripped over a small hole in the ground and dropped her bag. She blushed furiously as she noticed many people were watching her. "Sorry I am late," she apologized to Magnus and all the other club members. "I got stuck doing some research in the library and a professor caught me and lectured me on the benefits of enjoying the outdoors or something." She took a deep breath, "that was when I suddenly realized that time had escaped me and I was missing our meeting!" Aria smiled and looked around at everyone and hoped that she was not looking too red from embarrassment.
Aria walked closer to Freddy and pet him. She watched as Sam picked up another gnome and threw it as far as she could. Aria involuntarily winced, wondering how that didn't hurt them. "It's so interesting how throwing the gnomes doesn't hurt them," Aria commented aloud.
Aria waved at Millie and walked over to join her. "What kept you here at Hogwarts over break?" she asked while watching other students pick up gnomes and play with them.
Aria giggled as Fade was bitten again by the mischievous gnomes. "Maybe he doesn't want to be caught," she called out to Fade and winked at the other gnomes who were watching.

I really really extremely want:"Careful!" Magnus called as he rushed over to make sure she was unharmed. "You can't 'urt yourself after you just became me sister." She seemed unharmed so he gave her a pat. "Yeah they really seem ta like the degnoming cos they keep giggling and stuff." He watched one stumble from the shrubbery and giggle as it returned towards Sam to be chucked again.
"Thanks," Aria said to Magnus. "I'm fairly certain that it'll take more than a gnome hole to get rid of me though, so I think you're safely stuck with me!" Aria grinned at Magnus.
She looked over to Sam as Magnus commented and saw the gnome rush back through the shrubs ready to be thrown again. "They really are a hoot!" she exclaimed.

I really really extremely want:"That's a good question, Fade. Makes me glad I live in middle of London. I seldom see any there. They are interesting though" She agreed with Magnus.
She was starting to walk towards the group that were starting the toss when she saw her friend Sauvage join the group. "Hey Sauvage. I haven't seen you in the common room lately. I was starting to wonder if you got lost somewhere"
She turned to Aria and replied, "Well, I didn't really see a point in going home because we're going on a holiday during the summer break. My dad has been keeping it a secret, but I'm pretty sure we're going to Greece. Plus, my mom would have dragged me out of bed every morning at 4 am and put me to work in the bakery. I'm not a morning person at all".
(ooc - sorry it took me a few days to respond. Life got in the way)
Aria nodded at Millie's explanation as to why she stayed at Hogwarts for the summer break. "It's hard when people put you to work over break, when all you want to do is relax." She smiled, "it seems like the studying and working is never quite over with, right?" Aria walked with Millie to where more people were standing and continued on, "for me, I just really like studying and learning. I wish I could live in a library and always be learning something new." Aria watched as gnomes ran about the area and smiled, this is a great distraction from studying potions, she thought.

I really really extremely want:"You better," he said with a smile to his new sister. But then he heard Millie's conversation. Millie lived in London? Magnus' face fell for a moment. It seemed wrong, when he was so happy to have a family finally--wrong to miss the orphanage and the city he grew up in. He turned away and made himself look busy for a few moments before he found a gnome and chucked it to look like he was completely okay.
"Getting tossed s'gotta hurt 'em a lot less than getting mauled by a jarvey. Pa says gnomes are really tough, an' really dumb. All you have to do is spin 'em around enough times before you toss 'em, and they forget how to get back. If your'e lucky they'll wander off to some muggle's garden. Poor muggles went nuts wondering why their gopher traps didn't seem to work." She laughed good naturedly
"Gnome tunnels totally ruined their lawn. They practically fell over themselves thanking my pa when he told them he bought a couple of ferrets to get rid of the 'gophers'. 'Course they're really Jarveys. Pa put some kind of spell on the weasels so they can't cuss at the muggles."
