Aderyn continued to admire the dragons, inching slowly closer to the hatchling to take a good, close up look.
"We had one loose in the woods not too far from my house when I was growing up. I remember dad putting a fireproofing charm on our property, and Ministry wizards coming to ensure the rest of the neighborhood was safe, too. I wasn't allowed out in the yard by myself for a while, until they caught it and took it safely deep into the mountains."
Emmy waved a hello to Magnus as she approached with (well, was dragged by) Aderyn. She hadn't gotten a great sleep the night before, so she was sleepy and her eyes were somewhat bloodshot. There were a couple of adults with Magnus that she'd never seen before, but she paid them little attention, her eyes immediately locking on the large dragon behind them.
Emmy was standing slightly behind the slightly taller Aderyn, for once nervous during this meeting. Normally she was fearless with any creature, but dragons were the one exception. They were so big and intimidating. Emmy respected them highly, but she was reluctant to get too near.
She was admiring the beautiful green of the dragon nearby. She was half-listening to Aderyn, and suddenly looked at her.
"Wait, is THAT why you told me to stay inside for a while during that one summer?" Emmy asked incredulously. "Before I knew I was a witch?"

🦋
Paddy smiled, "that's sweet of you," she replied to Magnus, trying not to laugh at the vibrant shade of crimson he was turning as his mum was talking. She wondered what Fade would think of the dragons, seeing as he'd been so keen on the Unicorns.
As she stared at the dragons, the hatchling gave off a small spark which made her jump. Judging by the small puddle starting to soak into her jacket pocket, Puffy wasn't too keen on sparking dragons. "I'll be back in a minute," she said, "I think Puffy wants to be further away from the dragons."
(OOC: laughs you mean my handmade Puffskein / Pygmy Puff? I didn't want to buy a premade one (they're way too pricey!), so I stitched that myself ;) I just noticed you'd pinged me a couple of weeks ago - I must've deleted that ping by accident 😊, I wasn't ignoring you! Thanks for the birthday wishes :D)

Aderyn paused a couple of feet away from the hatchling, glancing over at Emmy () with a shrug.
"Dad said the ministry had told the muggle prime minister to tell everyone a wild animal had escaped from the zoo, but it was so much scarier than that. I just wanted to be extra sure you'd be careful."
Pausing, remembering the charms her father had cast on their property to prevent their house being set on fire and feeling rather fond of her eyebrows, Aderyn withdrew her wand and cast a quick fire-proofing spell on herself. Turning to Emmy, she held her wand out.
"D'you want to come meet the little one? I can do you, too."
OOC
Sorry I vanished for a couple days there. Hubby decided he wanted to upgrade the home computer to Windows 10, and I haven't been able to log on to anything at home since.
"What did the baby eat?, how often did it need to be fed?, could dragons be talked to like snakes? How did wizards ride them if they were un-trainable?..." and on and on.
"He's lovely," she said smiling. She also joined in laughing as Dax took cover behind her son. Magnus was a little freaked at this but kept his cool. He wanted to get used to Dax any way, who did not seem to have a problem with him.
"I wish we 'ad a dragon near us," Magnus said wistfully. He loved dragons, though he seemed sad that the adult was not nearly as active as he would like. "How you like them Emmy?" he asked noting the girl was a little more reserved than normal.
"No worries," he said absentmindedly to Paddy, "I like doing fings for people."
He was glad it wasn't just him turning red, but tried to pretend he hadn't noticed Sam's reaction. Paul smiled on. "Dragons eat meat, so whatever they come across. The infant is currently eating anything from rats, birds to small animals. When he gets bigger, he'll eat sheep, cows, horses or a LOT of the aforementioned animals. I don't think so. I've never heard of anyone with the ability to talk to dragons anyway... though I suppose anything is possible. A few foolish wizards or witches have managed to climb on one way or another but the results almost always end up with them in Saint Mungos or worse. Those lucky enough to escape injury are the same idiots that seem to think you can train a dragon."
((ooc: sorry it took so long for my reply. Been crazy busy here with an out of town guest. Been very tired too lol.))
Gaia walked to the meeting late...again. She was going crazy this term. Gaia was putting stuff in her bag when she stopped in her tracks "is that a DRAGON!?!" Flying creatures made Gaia happy then she noticed Sam () "Everything okay? you seem flushed." Gaia was a little concerned but she saw Magnus and a lady she didn't know and she giggled. Gaia waved at Magnus () "Sorry I am late" Gaia muttered since she wasn't the best club member and was weird with Magnus last time.
Katsumi was a bit late to club this time around, and she stopped dead in her tracks the moment she saw the dragons. The squeal of glee she couldn't quite suppress carried a good way, though it was unusual for her to be so obviously overjoyed. She had a fire-retardant spell cast in next to no time as she hurried to join up with the others. The second-year gave Magnus a wave, but ended up gravitating toward Paul and Sam, adding a few of her own questions to the barrage. "Where'd you get them from? How did you get permission to bring them here, of all places?! How old is the hatchling, and can he fly yet?"
The Ravenclaw was unable to contain her excitement, and it showed in her fidgeting and slightly breathless tone. She couldn't tear her gaze away from the two dragons. She adored them in all forms, though she knew better than to try to get too close. As gorgeous and awe-inspiring as they were, their temperaments tended to match the least friendly versions found in stories, though she didn't think they actually had a taste for maidens.
(( I've never made a puffskein, but when I was younger, my friend and I used pipe cleaners and pompoms made to be strung on them to make brightly colored tribbles.))
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
,
"I'm fine, um, just a bit excited to see a live dragon..." Sam lied
"Paul here is crushing my dream of being the first witch to tame a Peruvian Vipertooth." She laughed, attempting to change the subject.
"I was hoping they were related to snakes so I could talk to one. Dumb, huh? Like every parselmouth wizard wouldn't already have tried that? Say..., how did the Goblins in Gringotts manage to keep the dragon they won't talk about under control? she asked, pulling her hand back in time to avoid getting her fingers nipped and singed by the baby dragon.
"'Ey, Gaia," Magnus said, "this 'ere's me mum." He was happy to see her and showed it with the deep simile. His mother waved and said hello. Magnus waved to Katsumi as she arrived.
Paul thought it was amusing that everyone seemed to think he brought the dragons. "It wasn't me. It was Magnus' mom, Stella that got the dragons. She grew up near a Welsh Green farm and used her connections to bring these two here. The hatching is just a few days old and will be returning to his mother soon. He's too young to fly yet." His American accent stressing the o in "mom."
Paul smiled and said, "I cannot confirm or deny any thing about dragons at Gringotts. I do know that keeping a dragon is tricky and many use fear and abuse to keep it as best controlled as possible and then follow with stunning spells. Abusing a dragon is not a wise idea nor is it something I condone."
() Gaia heard the rambling of explanations and giggled "Yeah... okay. You know dragons are very smart creatures. There are stories and legends of our people where it is said they could communicate with dragons. I wonder if concentrating enough would give us insight for telepathic communication." Gaia looked at Magnus's mom with a grin on her face "would that be possible? Hi, I am Gaia the one with the unicorns in her backyard." () Gaia playfully punched Magnus arm letting him know everything was back to normal.
Stella smiled. "My son and husband went to collect Fade from your home. They liked the grounds a lot and of course Magnus has told me of you. A seer huh? I bet your Divination grades are top notch." "You wanna pet the baby?" Magnus asked.
Emmy shook her head in amazement. "Man, I wish I had known it was a dragon. That is SO cool." She watched as Aderyn cast a spell on herself, then offered to do it on Emmy too. Hesitating slightly, she then nodded.
"Okay," she agreed, standing straight and waiting for the spell. "I'll go look at the hatchling with you."

🦋
Paddy ran back, having left Puffy in her room and left her jacket to dry out. Hoping she hadn't missed anything, she sprinted the last bit, and had to wait a few minutes to catch her breath before she could talk.

Gaia blushed at Stella's words "Yeah, well it is hard to fail I class you can see before hand." Gaia grinned "I would love to pet the baby!" bouncing on the balls of her feet wanting to have a better look at the baby dragon. ()
Magnus quickly cast the anti flame/singe spell on both Paddy and Gaia and let the girls towards the baby dragon. "Give 'im a pet. He's pretty neat." He was smiling so much his mouth hurt. He really seemed to like the more dangerous animals
((Was I on fire? LOL)) ()
Gaia walked up to the baby dragon and gave him a nice pet. She was more of a cuddly animals person, but she loved her some dragons. "Sometimes I think I should work with magical creatures full time, but there are so many opportunities! Can I do them all?" She asked more to herself than anyone else.
(nope, trying to prevent a fire :P)
Magnus started petting the dragon as well. "They are really nice, ain't they? I know what you mean. I wanna be a 'ealer but I also wouldn't mind playing Quidditch, working with animals, or doin' somefing with me art. "
Millie had just finished the Ancient Studies paper she had been working on for ages. It seems like all her classes had been kicking her butt for the past several weeks and she was pretty much living in the library. Now she was finally a head of the work and looked to see if it wasn't too late for dragons. She opted to leave Cleo in the common room and rushed outside. She slowed down when she approached the group, so she won't startle the dragons.
She waved to Magnus () and the rest of the group ( )
(ooc - guys. I'm done school. I'm finally gradutating next Saturday! -happy dance-)
"'Ey Millie," Magnus said, "'ave you seen the dragons? You can pet the baby if you want."
((OOC: Because of all the site errors, My own personal stuff that has taken a lot of time to get things finish and I know several people were looking forward to playing with the dragons, I'd like to extend dragons till next week.
