if anyone needs anything for these "quests"--or anytime (even when this raffle event is over) please don't hesitate to ask. I have a HUGE amt of stuff on this acct and I'm working on dismantling it--eventually want to give it all away (not the pets yet, but will be looking for good homes for them as well)

Are you trying to quit on us? You have to play Subeta forever.

I'm so mad that I visited the Bathhouse Pools before I checked my tasks. I got really easy ones:

Feed 1 minions trapped in the Galaxan Wastelands Bond with a new minion from Dara's Darlings Get the Hustler to add a sticker to your collection Have the Healer heal one of your pets Visit the Delphi Museum of Art Pick a fruit from the Ikumoradeekanox tree Battle any opponent at the Battle Coliseum Take a dip in the Bathhouse Pools Feed a harvest dragon at the Farmer's Market Go fishing with Temictzin

So sorry to hear that you visited the bathhouse before starting the raffle. Well it's day one, right? I'm amazed that I saw the news before I did something else first.

I'm not exactly quitting, but I don't think I'll be playing here forever, I'm not sure what I'm doing. I find it's amazingly hard to GIVE stuff away, though, even though I have SO much. If I tell people I'm leaving they are more willing to accept my offer.

The truth is that I am not up to playing here as I once was. I spend an hour or two per day, compared to HOURS a day. I'm old, I'm tired. This seems like a good thing for an old tired person to do, right? There are many reasons that it takes more effort than it used to. I won't bore you. I could be around for another 5 yrs, but I still would not need all the stuff I have on this acct.

I have all those things in that gallery (more than 20K unique items) which is now a legacy shop. I can't add to it, and they retired those achi's for hoarding etc. That was my biggest passion. I also enjoyed collecting my massive bank interest. After that was retired a yr ago I, eventually, spent nearly 2 billion sP to read a massive amt of books to my pet.

Well if you're still reading, that's my story. I'm 61 now and I know that I won't live forever. If this site is still here in 20 yrs, I figure somebody might have enjoyed what's on my acct, why let it all sit here and rot? This is not meant to sound depressing, lol. :)

Thank you so much, you guys are so sweet. (you too) Honestly, I don't think I'm going to actually leave, not as in TRULY leave. You can read the long thing I wrote to Asumi. I probably won't leave on purpose, but one of these days (could be years from now, who knows) I might not be able to keep playing. If my health declines to the point that I'm no longer able to log in here, well I simply want to have given away as much as I can while I CAN. I hope that makes sense. Everytime I try to give stuff away to people they are SO reluctant to tell me what they would like. People say "oh I'm fine" or "I don't need anything" and HERE I am, the fairy god mother trying to get rid of a boatload of valuable stuff . . . so I thought if I said I was leaving, that people might be more willing to ask me for things. I am not good at figuring that out on my own. I have been looking at the WL of people on the forums, random strangers. I guess I should start going through the WL of my fellow blanket forters!!! I had not thought of it before now. Just wait til your brain is over 60 yrs old, you'll see!!!! :) Oh dear, I need to eat something. I've been awake for awhile now and my stomach is yelling at me!! I'll be back in awhile, if anyone pings me.

You can always hold giveaways in the giveaway forum! People tend to like entering for those, check out the Odin's Attic thread for something that's been going on for a while with a lot of interest from people. Also, if your hands are hurting or typing is taking a while, both Macs and Windows computers can dictate text from voice (let me know if you need any help setting it up or finding instructions).

Anyway, we have a couple mill in the group bank, I can reimburse any of y'all for ingredients or whatever. Just ping me! (Is there someone else who wants to be in charge also?)

Yep, I have type 3 ED-S (ehlers danlos syndrome) and normally a person of my age can be quite young, but not with this. I always expected to be young in my 60's, but I didn't realized how much ED-S would "take me down." I didn't anticipate so many things about it--didn't even know I had it til nearly 40, just thought I was crazy. I also didn't expect the love of my life to drop dead in front of my face when he was only 55 (that was about 4 yrs ago) and I'm not nearly "over" it, not sure I ever will be. ED-S is complicated. My sister has it and she confirms the feeling I have about feeling much older. When I was 24 I was very tired and in a lot of pain and at that time my husband (1st one) was a lot older and he had SO much more energy, and I had NO clue what was wrong. If you're a child today and diagnosed with it you would have a much better chance of a full life, but those of us born in the 50's (treated as if we were hypochondriacs and malingerers for decades before getting diagnosed) have had a rough time of it.

Edit: I'll be looking over your WL soon. One of the things that slows me down here is peripheral neuropathy. It makes my fingers feel all weird and tingly and very sensitive to the touchpad. I got the chromebook so I wouldn't have to sit up to my desktop PC but now I have this other issue. It's a lot better than sitting up, however, which was killing my back for years. I love to help people, and today I have someone else's WL that I'm working on . . . I'm glad you said that!! :)

Thanks for the hugs and thanks for that genetech lab list. I could get lost looking through THAT for hrs. I love making things at the lab and have never seen a list before now. I've been around subeta longer than my acct would suggest. I previously had another acct (for 3 yrs) which "went by the wayside" to put it nicely. ahem, no talking about that.

Well thank you, I DO appreciate that. I try to help people, cause I'm pretty lonely IRL. I come here a couple hrs a day (on and off, here and there) and it gives me something to do, since I'm not able to participate in most of life these days. I used to walk and go out in the world, and swim, and I even went camping years ago. I LOVED camping and being outside, but that is a thing of the past now. My virtual world (and how I travel nowadays) is online and in front of my TV. I watch a lot of stuff on Netflix (streamed to the TV, don't watch broadcast, ugh) and particularly enjoy shows with great landscapes (English countryside is very nice, I LOVE British and Australian shows). I like going around the world, Sense8 is awesome!!

If anyone knows of any great shows on Netflix, please let me know. I like crime drama and LOVE shows about the past (Call the Midwife is one type, but I also like stuff like Sherlock and Luther) my tastes are wide--love Orange is the New Black. Particularly like shows that have women as central characters, am burnt out on seeing so many shows where the heroes are men. Anyone else feel this way?

Thank you! I'm just faking it (the not complaining thing) cause I used to bitch about it (a lot) but nobody really wanted to hear it. I'm not faking being nice, though. I've always enjoyed being a nice person, though I CAN be too nice (a doormat at times). I was feeling very very sorry for myself after Joe died. I lost my first acct here, which made everything so much worse, and went into shock over his death and I was pretty messed up. All I wanted to DO was complain, when I first came back. But as I said--it was insane to do that.

So, I put my head down for a long time and sat here playing this game as if my life depended on it. I would be here for 12 hrs (or more) at a time. I did everything I could to build up my bank and my items. I can't even believe how much I was here. I almost never slept. Anyway . . .

Thank you for all of that--it's not as if I'm going to consciously leave or stop playing here. I am just never sure if/when I'll be able to keep playing. On top of a lot of other stuff--I need serious dental surgery and it's not been approved (may never be) but IF/WHEN that is ever scheduled I'll let y'all know. I might be gone for awhile. I am going to need to have several teeth pulled and a lot more work and/or will probably end up with dentures, yulch, but that would be better than what's going on now. The tooth issues are directly related to ED-S as well, so there is a lot about this lovely condition that is not well known. OK well thanks everyone for hanging out, listening, etc.

Now I have my work cut out for me with WLs. I started working on one of yours last night, so stuff is in my inventory but I'm not finished, so after I've had something to eat, etc. I'll be back to continue on THAT project. :)

Well, even if its just to listen, you can always mail me. I might not always find the right words to say, but I'll definitely read and reply. IK what its like to not have someone to talk to just in general, so have at my mail what you will. I wish you luck on any future appts or procedures or anything, those are never fun to go through <3 And there is never the right thing to say when you've lost someone that has meant so much to you, but I do offer belated condolences and again, my mail is open to you. As far as spending so much time on a site goes, whatever works to make you calm and even relax and forget about things for a while, I see nothing wrong with that at all. I've done that many a time. As far as WL's go, that's very sweet and generous of you to think of me at all for it <3 Its amazing your always wanting to spread the love and thoughtfulness around to everyone, as I've said before, during all events and then some. Subeta is more special because there are people like you on here.

I agree with Stiles about being glad you're here, and if you know me you know I don't give generic responses...if I wasn't glad, I wouldn't say anything :)

Anyways in terms of Netflix Streaming I know lots of shows/movies on there, if you can give me more examples of what you like maybe I can recommend some things.

One thing - if you like crime drama and women as central characters - is 'Murder Most Horrid' starring Dawn French. May not be on NFS, but if it's not, it's on YT.

Love is all you need.

ehlers danlos syndrome has stretchy skin and very flexible joints, is that something you had when you were a child?

Thank you for sending me a gift box, it made me so happy.

My mom loves crime dramas. I creeped on her Netflix account, have you tried Broadchurch, Blacklist, Hinterland, or The Fall? If you like Sci-Fi watch Dark Matter, they only have one season up, but it's sooo good.

Congrats on the win! Beautiful work!

Yes, it's genetic, and I've been dealing with the symptoms since I was about 7 or 8. I may have had some symptoms before that which I don't remember, though, since that was more than 50 yrs ago. Unfortunately, there was no clue about it back then, so doctors passed it off as "just growing pains" for both myself and my sister. This is still happening, but people have the internet (and so much more) to connect with and get support. Now children are being diagnosed as young as 7 (maybe younger) and there's a much different approach to their medical care (we got absolutely none). With all that's known now, and the right support, children can live much fuller lives. My sister and I were not diagnosed until we were in our late 30's and even then there was almost no information available.

You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it!

Oh yes, I've watched all of those shows! The only one I didn't love was Blacklist, I didn't hate it either, so I need to revisit it. I tend to like the British (Welsh, Australian et al) ones more than the American ones, though. I just watched Broadchurch for the 2nd time and I've watched Hinterland over and over. I love shows like Mad Men too. Yeah, I like certain Sci Fi, depends. I'll give it a try, thanks!

Yes, glad you mentioned ! Congrats on the win. I was most impressed by your cut out sculpture. I voted for it. It was really nice to see something unique as an entry, so glad you won.

Thanks everyone! I'm pretty chuffed, and generally relieved that all those hours and minor nerve damage paid off.

When they put the gallery up, you'll all have to point out your entries. I want to know what everyone else did!
