"I'm sure you'll be a great keeper, Aderyn," Magnus said, "Works for me, Gaia," but if you want a turn say the word and I'll change so everyone has a chance to play each position."

Aderyn nodded in response to and Magnus ().

"I'll keep for a while, then we can switch up. I wouldn't mind trying it all, either. In the meantime, bring it on!"

She circled the middle hoop on her broom, watching Gaia and Magnus closely, trying to be ready for whatever came her way.

The broom was proving to adjust to her lightest touches and was satisfying to control. "Sam, do you want to practice passing and taking shots at Beth together? We can start flying towards our end of the pitch from midfield." Poppy had been enjoying the penalty drill, but definitely felt the physical effects of guarding the goal against her rather strong peers. She inquired, "How do you feel about playing with all three hoops Beth?"

"Sounds like a plan" Sam agreed, holding up her hands for the quaffle. "I can take the right side of the pitch if you're good with that."

Magnus tossed the quaffle at Gaia who was nearer the centre hoop hoping for her to score

Gaia knew what Magnus wanted her to do, but instead she flew higher and hovering over the hoops she passed back to Magnus. "Let's see what you can do!" The grinning she went back in case Aderyn blocked the shot.

"All right," he thought grabbing the ball, "game on." With a swoop around the goals his eyes twinkled as he lobbed it at the right hoop.

Aderyn watched and Magnus () loop around the hoops and toss the quaffle back and forth a few times. She squinted against the sunlight a little but managed to follow their movements. She hovered between the right and center hoops as the back-and-forth seemed to move over in that direction a little, but Magnus was still quick with the ball as he lobbed it toward the right hoop. Leaning forward and gripping her broom with both hands for fear of falling off flying so quickly, she got between the hoop and the ball, not catching it but instead blocking it with her shoulder. As it fell toward the ground, she swooped around and dove for it, catching it against her chest and flying back up to the hoops. Looking at Magnus who was ahead of her, she tossed him the ball again.

"I suppose I should try actually catching the ball at some point," she said with a laugh.

"WHOOP!" Gaia was beaming at her friend. "You seem more confident in the air now!" Gaia went towards Aderyn for a high five and then towards Magnus, taking the quaffle. "Feel like taking it back?" Grinning Gaia took off to the middle of the stadium and hovered there for Magnus to catch up.

Rox noticed that everyone was doing very well at the task she had given them. She whistled for them to get back down and after they did, she began to explain what she wanted from them.

"I want to see what you're able to in a little practicing game. So I've assigned positions to each of you

Aderyn (): keeper Try and keep the balls out of the hoops please

Magnus () and Gaia () : Beater Make sure the other players won't get hurt in the game

Beth () and Poppy () : Chaser Try to score as much points as you can

Samantha () : Seeker See if you can locate the ball and catch it.

I will see how it goes and let you try out for other positions as well later on".

Gaia liked the sound of that and took out her bat from her back. "Time to hurt... I mean avoid people from getting hurt."

() "I have a feeling you would make a great seeker!"

() "Are you ready?" with a grin Gaia took off to the skies.

Just as he was about to follow Gaia to the middle of the pitch, Rox called them all down. Magnus was beaming when he heard he got to play beater first. He ran over to grab a beater's bat. "Ready? I was born ready. Those bludgers won't know what hit 'em, which'll be us." Even if he didn't get the position he was fine with that, but getting to play it was going to be fun.

She applauded in Sam's direction and mouthed, "Good luck!"

Aderyn glanced around as she heard a sharp whistle and flew down, listening to Rox's instructions. She nodded and smiled as she was given her role and kicked off from the ground again, hovering and glancing around at the others gathered there.

"Do your worst!"

With a smile she turned in the air and flew off towards the nearest set of goal posts, circling them and watching the others from above.

Sam cocked an eyebrow at the choice of seeker for her. Talk about the one position she had the least practice at! There was no way her older model Comet was fast enough to catch a snitch she thought. Oh well, she'd just have to figure out a way to head the little nuisance off at the pass so to speak.

"OK" she laughed "I'll give it a go. This'll be interesting t'be sure. At least I've got good eyes."

With a wave to who mouthed "Good luck" at her, she soared high enough up above the ground to scan the entire pitch. Her eyes alert for any small movement or a glint of gold.

I'll grab the ball once it's thrown from the central circle and fly level with you towards Aderyn so we can practice passing." Poppy adjusted her helmet and waited for the Quaffle, Bludgers, and Snitch to be released.

Gaia zoomed towards Aderyn; Gaia grinned at her friend while noticing a bludger coming their way. "Hold on one sec!" She took off and hit the bludger to the other side of the pitch. "Magnus! I think you missed one!" Pointing at an oncoming bludger headed for Poppy. The bludgers were coming fast just like in a real game; that made practice fun... as long as no one gets hurt. Gaia flew closer to Italia and keeping an eye on Sam as they flew around that bludger was bound to come back.

Magnus was watching the game a little too intently missing one bludger completely good thing Gaia got it. Blushing he focused back on the task at hand and zoomed around passing Sam with a "Hi." He lobbed a bludger away from Poppy. Geez these things were brutal today. ( )
