"Hi Magnus! Hi Sam!" Eyeing what Sam had put down Gaia smiled "Beater huh, Sam? Maybe we will play each other in the future!" Giving her friend a high five.
"I am glad there are familiar faces around. I love flying so this club is the place to be! () Ethel is not much of a Quidditch player or flyer I think, so I am doing this one solo. To be honest I was a little nervous. I have been known to broom accidents." Gaia recoiled at some distant memory came back to her.
Sam laughed. "Join the club. When I broke my arm trying to copy Robert Green's Harlem shuffle moves, my pa refused to use magic, except to wrap Devil's snare around my arm so I couldn't move it for nearly six weeks while it healed naturally. I think he was trying to teach me a lesson, but, well, y'know. I always wanted to be a chaser, but I'm better with this." She picked the bat back up and gave it a few swings. "Shall we join them?" she asked looking up at the flyers.
() Gaia laughed "I am going to have to watch out of you out there. One beater to another... we are no joke!" Gaia grinned. "I have gone through the muggle way of healing before too. My mom told my dad I needed to understand both worlds. I once fell unconscious from flying in the woods, low branch, and my mom just tended to me without magic." At that she pushed from the ground and hovered with the others.
Aderyn listened with interest to Magnus' () story, nodding along.
"The name Sparks rings a bell, though I don't think I've ever met her. And I'm so sorry to hear your story - I can't even begin to imagine how awful a werewolf bite would have been. Dad's told me that the healers at St. Mungo's are working constantly to improve wolfsbane potion and to find a permanent cure for lycanthropy. Don't give up hope!"
She hadn't even noticed it, but as she'd hovered there chatting with Magnus, she'd let go of her broom with one hand and, with her wings safely tucked away, was hovering perfectly comfortably on her broom. She gasped when she realized it and wondered whether she was actually good at flying and had just never realized it because she'd used her wings as a crutch the whole time. Snapping out of her reverie, she turned back to Magnus.
"Anyway, there's no reason why you couldn't be a healer. With all the experience you've had with potions and the like, you'd be even better at it. First hand experience can be a big blessing."
Hearing mention a broom accident, Aderyn turned her attention back to her friend. Seeing the look on Gaia's face, she chuckled.
"See, that's why I've always been scared of flying - one day that'll be me having an accident!"
"Can't complain too much tho," he said with a smile, "cos wouldn't 'ave a mum and dad if it twerent for the attack. That'd be nice, wolfsbane don't always work as well for me. Maybe its age? But would people really want a werewolf healer?" It was a question that was bothering him a lot.
He watched as Gaia and Sam arrived to them. "'Llo ladies," he said giving his best crooked smile. Aderyn seemed to gain confidence as she sat on her broom. Her wings were pretty he thought and wondered why she was so nervous. Couldn't she just use them if she was in a crash? Thinking it better not to ask he just kept his mouth shut.
Aderyn smiled at Magnus ().
"We've had werewolves healing in the past, as well as vampires, veelas, fae folk, all sorts! There's no reason why you'd be any different. Everyone has some sort of limitation, and as long as you know yours and work within it, well, you'll do just fine!"
As she hovered, Aderyn pondered the various quidditch positions and decided that perhaps keeper would be best for her after all. Most of the time she could keep both hands on the broom and she wouldn't have to zip around the entire pitch and fight for the quaffle with the others. Yes, she decided she'd try out for keeper when the tryouts themselves rolled around.
"Really?!" Magnus' heart soared. "If we weren't in the air, I'd hug you!" It was a huge weight that lifted from his shoulders and he did a swoop loop in the air, completely showing off. His beaming smile couldn't seem to get any wider and his jaws hurt from it. "I put down beater or seeker. Though I 'aven't actually played a game. Been using Dad's 2001 Nimbus. He bought it used and thought of trying to get me mum 'swept off her feet again'" rolling his eyes remembering at his dad's words and his mother's protest as they kissed and giggled.
Aderyn was glad she'd been able to reassure Magnus (). She was just glad there were others out there interested in healing magic like she was. She let go of her broom to clap a few times as Magnus swooped around on his broom and then she clung on again.
"I don't think I'm fast enough for a seeker or strong enough for a beater, but I'm going to give keeper a try!"

Rox looked around when the parchment and quill were being passed around and saw how everyone was demonstrating flying with one hand. She noticed some of the members were already very experienced in flying around, others seemed to be in some need of practice. But Rox knew they would learn fast if they were starting with a game. She then asked everyone to come around again for a quick explanation.
“Alright, for those of you that haven’t played Quidditch before and haven’t seen a game either, I will give a short explanation of the game”. She walked over to a chest and grabbed a ball out of it. “This is a Quaffle. Every Quidditch team has three chasers. Chasers pass the Quaffle along and try to throw it to the other teams hoops” she said, while pointing towards the hoops on the Quidditch field. In front of the hoops is one player of the team, who is called the Keeper. All he or she really has to do is stop the ball from going through the hoops”.
Rox hoped that everyone understood what she was saying so far. “Then we have this ball” she said, while pointing to it in the chest. “And before anyone asks, no I’m not going to release it right now”. The ball was trying to break free from the chains inside the chest. “That ball is called a Bludger. In every match two of them will be used. Every team has two players that are called beaters. The beaters only task is to protect teammates from the Bludger. While doing so, it’s not a problem to aim them towards the opponents players by using the bats they carry around”. She pointed towards a bat next to the chest.
“Then we also have this tiny ball over here. It’s called the Golden Snitch. Every Quidditch team has one player that’s called the Seeker. It’s a very tiny ball, almost invisible on the field during a game. The only task the Seeker has is to find the Snitch before the other teams Seeker does. The Snitch is worth 150 points and after it’s been captured the game will end”.
Rox looked around. “Has anyone of you ever played Football before?” she asked them. She saw how some fingers were going up. “Well, this is nothing like that, except for the hurting, it does hurt a lot”. She grinned while saying that, knowing that every Quidditch player would break a bone or two somewhere along the way.
“Alright all, I will give you a Quaffle and I want you to pass it around. If you want you can make small teams of 3 players, to then try and throw the Quaffle through the hoops, one player of each team has to be a keeper then of course. If you don't want to form teams, that's okay, just toss the Quaffle to each other then. Show me what you can please, consider it a small tryout before the tryouts”.
If anyone has a suggestion for the club, feel free to let me know :)
Aderyn listened intently as explained quidditch. She knew all the rules and had watched plenty of games, and now she was excited to give it a try herself. Even in the few minutes that she and the others had been hovering about she'd gained some confidence on her broomstick, and as the quaffle was tossed up, she leaned forward and zoomed towards it, being careful not to knock into anyone. Catching it, she turned to face and tossed it at the other girl.
"Catch!"
Ernessa hadn't made any friends at Hogwarts yet but she thought that and Aderyn () looked friendly so she flew to where they were excitedly tossing the quaffle. 'Do you mind if I join you? I'd really like to practice my keeping'
He smiled at Aderyn. "You'll do fine I think," he said encouragingly. Then listened as Rox started her explanation and her asking to break into teams. now this is where Magnus was a bit on the uneasy side. He hung back not wishing to be intrusive. He'd just let everyone pair off and wait to see where he was needed/wanted.
Poppy flew up to Sam () and Magnus () on her new Yajirushi. Someone passed her the parchment and quill. She thought for a moment before jotting down: Poppy Blackwood Slytherin Avid flyer, but more of a Quidditch fan Quidditch Club member from First Term Chaser "Sam! Magnus! I'll be the Keeper if you too want to try scoring on me? I've never flown on this broom before and I need to break it in."

Aderyn looked over as another girl () flew over to join her and . She smiled brightly and nodded.
"Absolutely! We can head over to the hoops at the far end of the pitch if you'd like!"
Kicking off, she focused on her balance and coordination as she flew steadily up towards the hoops, getting further and further off of the ground and trying to keep from getting nervous. Whenever she flew, she preferred to stay as low as she could, so this was a new adventure for her.
"Hey Poppy," Magnus said smiling, "Sure! I'm on a school broom, cos I don't 'ave me own." He swooped down and grabbed a Quaffle. His hair flying behind him tangling. There was nothing like the thrill of flying. ![]()
Poppy glided up to and handed her the quill and parchment. "Here's your roster, Captain. I'm Poppy, nice to meet you."
She took off towards Magnus who was at the nearer hoops with the Quaffle already. The Yajirushi was proving to be a particularly smooth ride when flying fast and straight. Poppy got in front of the center hoop and did an about-face.

Beth flew around, not knowing what to do and hoping latecomers would arrive soon.
OOC
Not sure what Beth should do since everyone has been split into groups.
"Beth!" Magnus yelled, "join us we'll play with 4 players." He tossed the Quaffle towards on of the hoops at Poppy. "We can rotate if need be."
OOC
Seems like already solved the group issue . One group of 4 and one group of 3 we'll have for now. Any latecomers can just join one of the groups or start a new group.
