It was a tough hit to take and she winced as she massaged her forearm and gave Sam a thumbs-up. "That girl will be an awesome Beater with an arm like that," Poppy thought.

(OOC, Sorry folks was offline for awhile.) Sam juggled the quaffle to get a feel for it's weight, then tossed it at the hoops aiming just over poppy's right shoulder. "Thanks!" She replied. "I loved going to their games even though we had to port-key clear out to Texas. I wonder if Professor Caswell ever has field trips to to games here."

Ernessa looked uneasily at the ground, she sure was up high. 'I think I'm starting to feel a little light headed, I might watch from the benches for a bit'

(OOC sorry guys, I'm gonna have to leave for a bit, I'm on holidays in Japan and I can't keep up!)

Gaia felt bad for her friend Ernessa "There are water bottles on the ground! Feel better!" Then turned to Aderyn and threw the quaffle hard to the low left hoop. "Magnus feel free to hover constantly all the way up here. Take your time! heights are not for the faint of heart but it does take some getting used to!"

( ) "Want us to play in teams? Seems we are loosing members to heights!" Grinning at Sam "Also playing with another Beater seems like a fun exercise!"

"I hope Ernessa feels better soon."

Aderyn smiled sympathetically at Ernessa ().

"I'd be right there with you if I didn't have my wings. Feel better!"

She glanced up just in time to see throw the quaffle and she gripped her broomstick hard, diving toward where it was heading for the lower left hoop. She missed it by the smallest bit and it sailed right through, but she managed to catch up to it and she caught it, flying back up to game level.

"So close! I'll get it next time!"

Looking over at Magnus (), Aderyn held up the ball.

"Are you okay with catching?"

Gaia Whooped throwing her fist up in the air "That was a nice catch!" Flying back to get in position for passing the quaffle.

Aderyn smiled brightly at .

"Thanks! I'll block the next one, for sure!"

Magnus flew over to the other team after waving to Sam, Poppy and Beth. "Gonna 'elp them since their mate took ill." Flying over to Gaia he smiled,"ain't 'fraid of 'eights. I love flying." He smiled at Aderyn, "Do whatever you ladies need o' me."

Aderyn smiled as Magnus () acknowledged that he was ready for anything, tossing the quaffle in his direction.

"Catch!"

As she let go of the ball, she wobbled a bit unsteadily on her broom but she evened out quickly, her heart beating a little harder from the momentary scare. As quickly as the fear had come, though, it began to ease and she circled around to the main goal post, watching and Magnus lest they try to score.

He caught the Quaffle and faked at throw to the centre ring then actually threw it to the left ring. He waited to see if Aderyn would block the score.

"Sounds great to me. 'Tho I think we should leave that bludger locked up tight for awhile longer. Don't wanna hafta rush anyone to the hospital wing on our first meeting. I'm pretty good at aresto momentum spells if anyone falls, but those beasts can break bones."

() "But what is Quidditch without a little danger?" Gaia flew to where Sam was and stop next to her facing the opposite direction and gave Sam a high five before going back to her team.

( ) "Who is going to be a keeper now?" as she got in position by her friends.

Aderyn was faked out by Magnus' () first move, but she somehow still managed to whip around and make it to the goal post this time. She just barely managed to block the shot and she fumbled the quaffle, causing it to fall toward the ground.

"My bad!"

Glancing up as spoke, she flew back up toward the group, figuring she'd swing down and get the quaffle afterward if need be, and if no one else had caught it.

"I'm good with whatever everyone wants to do. I'll try anything once!"

Sam dove after the quaffle as it fell, forcing her broom to it's top speed. She just barely managed to scoop it out of the air before it hit the ground, her Comet's tail sweeping the dust off the pitch in a cloud , before she rose to join the others. "True that!" she said to Gaia "But I think some folks need a little more time to get the feel of their brooms." she dribbled the quaffle back and forth on her broomstick for a few moments, imitating one of her favorite team moves, then passed it to the other girl. "I'm saving up for the new Starsweeper. This is a good broom still, but I just can't get enough speed outta her. Bet I'll be wobbly as heck when I fly that for the first time."

(OOC)Not exactly sure who's on which team yet, so I passed it to who I was talking to..., Silly Sam, showing off her flying practice instead of paying attention...)

Aderyn stared open-mouted at Sam (), thoroughly impressed at the dive.

"That was wicked!"

She completely agreed about becoming more comfortable on her broom, but she still stood by what she said - she would try anything! A little fear was good for the soul once in a while.

"Don't mind. Tis practising so I'm game with whatever. Though in the actual game, don't wanna be a keeper, I wanna be in the action," Magnus said. He clapped his approval of Aderyn's save. "Nice job!"

Aderyn grinned at Magnus ().

"Thanks! And I'm interested in maybe being keeper, so I'm happy to stay in the goal posts."

She circled the posts on her broom again, not flying overly fast, but allowing herself to steadily gain more confidence and to trust her broom.

"That was a great one, Sam!" Gaia was beaming at her friend. Nothing like great skill on the opposite team.

( ) "I can be a keeper if you two want to see action while we practice. I can protect the hoops while you pass the quaffle around. That would be fun!"
