We....have a ping group for this already... Why is this a thing?

Also yeah it's super freakin annoying. I heard about it before and was fine with it just being cash shop, still annoying but whatever, but I'm getting it sitewide and hate it. (thank god for that css.)

Please get ride of this horrible new site ad! We really don't need another advertisement blocking site content or drop-down menus, especially when it's encouraging us to spend csc. Not really a fan of the Hustler and I wish there was a way to opt out of having to see these annoying notifications pop up at the top of my screen without having to click them away each time.

It feels too much like a pop-up ad like the ones I have browser add-ons to avoid like the plague. It came up a couple times for me today and I closed it the second I saw it. I have no idea what he was actually trying to sell.

I just don't buy from the hustler. In the years I've been on here, I might have purchased one thing from him. I have neither the need nor the desire to know when he's pushing something whether I have the CSC on hand or not.

I'm not saying it's not useful for some, because there are obviously a number of people who are all for it, but I'm firmly in the "Wish I could opt-out" club and I'll be adding in the custom CSS to hide it. [/font]

Can we please have an opt-in or something for this? It's rather annoying. I get how not everyone knew about the ping group, but I really don't care what he's selling, because I'm not buying.

I really dislike this on an ipad. Its hard enough to click a tiny x just right, let alone when the x is right on buy. I dont want to waste csc on an item I dont want just because I cant click the close correctly :/

It should be a thing that can be turned on and off. I mean sure it helps some, but I dont love the idea of it being such a blocker. Especially as I check hustler daily already. So I have no use for this/causes more probs than its worth.

started getting this again, and might I say that when the CSS of it works, it's not really disturbing at all and it looks quite nice. the first time I got it, the CSS was broken on it so I just got a black bar up top.

lmao this is super annoying and whenever i see it the only thing i want to say is "go away" I rarely have csc on hand and generally don't give a horse's patoot about the cash shop hustler ANYWAY when I DO have any csc, there should be at least an opt in/out toggle somewhere for those who, like me, couldnt care less about what the hustlers selling today.

A ping group that most people don&;t know about. We shouldn&;t be hiding things like this behind something like cash shop -&gt; hustler -&gt; timed release -&gt; requires joining a group to be told when there is something new. It takes a moment to see the item, decide you don&;t want it, and click out of it :).</p>
<p>
</p>
<p>Anyway - we&;ve pushing it out to a bucket of users to find out a few things, including how quickly they remove it, if they hover over the item, if they buy the item, etc. A lot more comes into play than it just being annoying.

Keith, I'm more than happy to remain a part of your ping group and help where I can.

It's really wonky on my laptop and the close button is right over the purchase button. luckily I have no csc, but I think it might be really bad if people who do have some.

I find the banner really annoying : / I've never really had more than a whole 4 CSC on my account for like a year and I don't actually plan to buy more in the near future, so this thing popping up telling me I should buy stuff with currency I don't have and likely won't have for a long time is pretty irritating. If you want people to know about the ping group, make a news post or an announcement instead of this irritating thing maybe?

I haven't had a problem with it. The main reason it bugs me is because it's been wishlist items I desperately want every time, and I can't buy them right now. I agree that an opt-in is a good idea.

Can we please get it off pet profiles? The custom CSS that hides it around the rest of the site doesn't work there.

I don't know of any CSS code that can be added to pet descriptions to remove it, and if there is any it's not going to be practical for everyone. Correct me if I'm wrong. but these descriptions have a character limit. There are several amazing pet profiles around that use a hell of a lot of code, and probably wouldn't be able to squeeze in a bit more to send the Hustler packing.

Are external ads place on pet profiles? If not, why should the Hustler - or any similar banners you may have planned - be any different?

Not everyone has csc to spend on the hustler though. :l It's frustrating to see for those who constantly have a low amount or no csc at all. Not to mention tablets, phones, all the hi-tech which makes the x slip into a buy like others have said. Opt-in would be a nice option.

I have to say I don't like this feature. I have mentioned it on the csc hustler ping thread and many of us on there don't like it either. It's not hard to join that thread. Instead, you feel stalked by the hustler. I don't care if it's easy to click the x to get him to go away. It's also easy to accidentally click buy. Plus it takes away the social interaction that the hustler ping group encourages. The site is about playing together, not just encouraging revenue. We spend a LOT. Let us play without stalking us for more of our cash please.

pressing buy doesn't automatically buy the item though (in fact, it's just a broken link last I clicked it). The original intent, if I remember correctly, was to take you to the hustler page from which you click buy which then takes you to an 'are you sure' confirmation page. So after all those clicks it isn't easy to accidentally buy an item.

I'm still 100% for this feature as long as there is an opt-out option for those who have no interest in it. It's apparent that is would be used by many so a compromise opt-out feature is more than reasonable. I'm a part of the hustler ping group as well and still find this feature awesome. I will like it even more when they add the hover feature to it to check prices from the banner.

Any chance we can have alerts in our sidebar when the hustler stocks something new?
&;Gossip quickly spreads that the hustler has <em>insert item tag</em> in stock&;

See, I love this idea. Or for it to be togglable.

At first I didn't mind this, but it's getting really, really annoying. I'm scanning this thread to find some CSS to make it GO AWAY. I'm not spending csc right now. I have 0 desire to spend any. I don't want any temptations and this shit is also really obtrusive.

Let me make this go away ;_;

But TV ads still show ads whether the viewer can afford it or not. It's just part of advertising, you win some, you lose most. This is half "reminder that the CS hustler still exists", half "advertising to those who wouldnt normally come across it via ping group/etc".

The other part of it is that CS hustler now cycles very quickly. Back in the day when it swapped once a week+, this wouldnt be noticeable.

I honestly dont mind it. However, if the intent wasn't to advertise, then yeah remove it.

If intent WAS to advertise, maybe only allow GAs to fully opt out. Allow normal users to opt for a reduced showing (eg every other Hustler change) or regular showing. idk. CSS

I haven't gotten any notifications for the last oh three or four items he's had. I actually like the banner, but having it limited to news and inventory maybe one or two other heavily frequented pages. I didn't buy anything because at the time, nothing I needed so I x'ed out. Maybe since I didn't buy anything it died....

The banner is also better because not everyone is a part of the ping group. I am glad it's there as a backup though.
