why should people not expect a functioning economy in this game?
I don;'t think a single person has complained at the shop closing, please read more carefully before blatantly personally attacking someone.
I used the example of doctors and people blessed with the nastiest profession ever because that's how communism actually works. Communism on subeta would have the site offering an exact exchange for csc to sP/sP to csc all day every day in the cash shop for a low rate of 5m per 500 csc but allowing endless amounts of sP to enter the system freely from quests and games. Flooding the system with both currencies and making them utterly equal and making no point of actually giving the site a dime.
This? This isn't communism, this is people who've spent a lot of time and effort doing things in the past only to be told "tough shit your effort was wasted sucker we're going to sell everything for 5m LOL" "except for the precious precious wearables those babies will remain top percentage". It's basically saying, never put forth any effort into anything because soon we're going to ACTUALLY enforce communism by making sure everyone is equal regardless of effort put in.
And no, I don't have any pirate swag to sell. Nor islander. I had a badass 150 points many years ago when the event took place and I have 0 points now. I have, though, wasted a great deal of fucking money collecting things that's all basically been for nothing which yeah, is going to leave me a tad bitter. If you can't rationalize that, clearly you've never put any effort into anything before.
Likewise, just another strike against sP. On one board people cry out because their sP is worthless and becoming more and more so as each day goes by, and how csc is just skyrocketing. Then the next board they cry because they want everything for free... because by removing as little sP from the system as humanly possible while still releasing the best game items via the cash shop... that's gonna fix it, ain't it.
Sorry I can't help you profit there, mate. Please don't ping me.
Really I mean if we're already fucking over anyone who put any effort in the past, and we're already making things 5m and under.. why not just put up a shop and sell the items point blank year round? There's already going to be ZERO effort to get them, there prices are already going to plummet so it's not like the items will be worth anything be them direct or tangible.. so just cut the tiptoeing around and just let people buy them for 15k or 1m or whatever silly price they're going to be.
It seems asinine to worry about "flooding the system" when there's no concern about flooding collections and making the items worthless. Cut the direct bullshit and just dump them in the system, at least they can be worthless and people can do whatever they want with them verses worthless/unobtainable/in every collection ever because might as well @ 1m a pop.
Just be sure to be ready to answer the antiqued question every single plot ever because like hell I'ma battle lag and downpages to deal with a plot when I know for a fact I can just buy whatever I want 2 years later for pennies.
Ok. I purchased a Mystical Montre Plushie way back when they cost real $$$. I used 2000 CSC to purchase mine during a Black Friday sale in the Cash Shop. I didn't 'cash' it back in when Subeta offered that because I bought it to put it in one of my galleries . Subeta put that particular plushie back in circulation for anyone to get with 2,500 Crystals from the Crystal shop instead of getting it from the Cash Shop. Was I upset about that? No.
Am I upset about this new thing that Subeta is trying out because now I won't be able to sell those items for huge amounts of sP? No.
Point being, some of us have spent REAL hours with REAL lag for some of the event items we got. I have many event items in my vault some of which may fall within this new shop that is being made. There are plenty of items I am in search of to complete my galleries or add to my pets TC and LOTS of those items are very expensive, some of them which would fall into what Subeta is implementing now.
If I were to have all the items I wanted on Subeta then I would have no fun, no goals and be bored anytime I logged into Subeta.
:)
Interesting idea, but... what if I want all of the pirate items for my pirate gallery and pet treasures? :C

Not all treasure is silver and gold, mate.

I want to suggest something about the books. The "book to main pet" can cause some problems, because it can happen that a user will forget to change his main pet and the book will go to the wrong pet.. So is it possible that after you click on the book that you want to buy, you go directly to a page with a drop-down box with all the names of your pets, you choose one, and click on "read book to pet"? It can be a good security step for many users.
I wish I could buy one of the plushies for a collection I have. The is one of the only Popoko items on the site I do not have yet for my gallery. Ah well, I still love that this is becoming an option, and I do understand the rules around it. Thanks guys! :D

Ever since the white and turquoise whiskey bags were rereleased for 1% of their ETS worth, I am sure Subeta staff have no idea what an healthy economy is
I skimmed through all the pages of this thread and I don't have anything new to add, but I want to add my support for simply making these items really expensive and let us do whatever we want with them. I don't think anything that costs 50m+ is going to "flood" the market. For example, if you're seeing that a restock war item last sold for 80m sP, put it in the antique shop for 90m. That's a huge sink and it also does not totally screw over people with old copies of the items.
While such a high price may seem off-putting at first (the whole idea of this shop scares me because I'm so bad at making sP and saving it these days), I think all that really matters is these items become available, people can work towards them, and collections are no longer literally impossible to complete.
Just let us buy whatever we need with SP. Seriously, could this site get any worse? Every update you're taking something away from us and instead of having another restock war, you do this? I just... why?
I am happy to hear about rereleases (I didn't even know the site even existed back when this RS War was about), but just to chime in on what I think a fair price tag would be, why not just price them based on points as well as what how much the price-per-points for that kind of item averages out to? I mean, items of certain types will sell for more per point than others, but it can help knock down the prices of overinflated items while keeping the prices of others stable (and possibly give MORE value to underinflated items). Perhaps maybe make the prices of a direct copy like 75% of the price of a physical copy.
At least stuff will actually be obtainable now.
Also hoping the weapons will be rereleased some day. I regret not getting any back in 2012.

I can't remember if this question has already been answered.
What happens to plushies, beanbags and books from these shops which are in galleries and TCs? I don't think I've got anything but, if I have, I don't want them automatically added to collections/read to my active pet.
Nothing happens to the stuff you already own. Just when buying from this future shop this purchased item will go directly into your collection. And since putting something into a collection consumes the item, it is not reusable.
The problem they are facing is, how to make minions, clothing (and weapons, but those underly a completely different policy anyway) available, because that kind of item doesn't go into a 1-use collection, respectively making all items account bound, so people could put them into their TCs or galleries as well.
lol at generalized statements like this
I can't speak for everyone, but this most certainly does not apply to me nor my posts. Maybe it's a concept called irony and price discrimination based on use. No, it can't be that, right?
I could easily say all these happy posts are because people are lazy and want to beg until things are conveniently cheaper for them, but I'm not saying that.
What the hell is wrong with profit in the first place? This profit aversion mentality is mind boggling. Some people would like to make sp, okay. That's not a crime.
I've got an idea to reintroduced the minions and wearable without flooding the market, I am not sure if this was already said as I didn't read the 14 pages, but here is my idea.
Have people do quests, something easy and that doesn't require lots of money but have them do like 100 quest at 10 quest a day, in order to be able to buy one item. If they fail or forget one day, it is reset to zero and they have to restart the 100 quests to buy one item. When they complete the 100th quest, they should be given the choice to buy one item with sp. This would stop people from buying a lot of items and only those who really want an item would go through the process. Of course some people would do the quests and buy one item to resell but since it would take so long it would still limit the number of item sold and probably control the market.
Is it possible to make it so these items are locked to the account? Similar to the loyalty boxes? That way you can have the item and display it or throw it in a tc, but can't sell it. I know you say that if you do that it makes all items unmoveable but like put an * or something and make it entirely different.
It's impossible to be done.
