One issue I see at this point is that you and I are the only ones able to upload images. I am not sure how I feel about changing that. It isn’t that I don’t trust the rest of staff, it is more like the saying about too many cooks.

If everyone were able to upload images my preference would be they couldn’t access the rest of the database. Have I ever told you about the time I accidentally deleted the entire site, back when we were neolodge?

There would also need to be strict formulas for naming files. Something similar to how the site generates the required name for delish images would be ideal. I know that is way more work for you though.

Oh yeah that's looking good. My original thought had been the possibility of adding skins to the database as our own "fake" items, but this is better :). Doesn't mess up the database or have to worry about our "fake" id numbers intersecting with Subeta's.

It also leaves things open to really describe what we want - this year, eventually, or never, stuff that isn't an option in the regular checklists.

I can tell you, 100%, I'm never going to the page where the uploads are again hah. I saw the little delete boxes and nope'd right out of there because I was afraid I'd accidentally click one if my laptop lagged and end up deleting the information haha.

I was trying to come up with a neutral word that would cover both skins and subeautique costumes -- they're both overlays over the base avatar. I changed it to "Edit your Personal Note".

Also -- just fixed a glitch that affected skins with two-word names (it wasn't handling the space correctly).

Let me think about this -- the 'new' CMS I was testing last summer but didn't really do anything with had what they called an 'image sandbox': you could give a large number of people permission to add images to the sandbox and then a smaller number of people permission to drag the images from the sandbox to a more permanent folder. We might be able to do something like that.

Is there way to make us upload pics the same way we upload wears when we add items? by the url and it's moving them to the right page and the right skin/anything else? instead of doing it manually and this way we can all do it without any problems

: When we add the overlay information for clothing items, we're referring to an image stored on Subeta's server. The URLs on the Pandemic skins page refer to images that we store on our own server (I'm sure there's a reason why we do it that way, but the decision was made before I got here.) The images need to be loaded onto our server before we even have a URL to point to.

I agree with that page does look intimidating. But what about the page where we add pets manually? Doesn't that upload to SubetaLodge in a limited way?

the only reason those pages are in the cams and not done some other way is because I didn’t know how to do it any other way and we were between programmers.

So now the animated image would be the only one needing a manual upload. Or we can just ditch them altogether.

Should we add skins that can't be obtained, like the glitch two-viruses-at-the-same-time skins from 2016 and Fantine's "Patient Zero" skin from 2012?

Are the glitched ones available? If so then sure. If you Can find fantines I would say definitely.

Last week Bug contacted me to let me know they will be releasing an update to the pet books pages.

There will be some coding changes that will affect our mass add. Osterizer has been working on it so will will hopefully be prepared for the switch. If anyone contacts you about an issue please post here ASAP.

Unfortunately there is no way to prepare for the mocking we will be receiving.

I know a lot of people who still use SL for their collections, even if/when Subeta changes things so that we can see what we need on the collection pages here. SL just makes it easier to keep track and to sort by shops etc etc.

I agree with Reaper. There have been a lot of improvements on Subeta that intersect with what we do, but they still don't have it all, not by a long shot. Besides, by our very existence we make Subeta better - I don't know how many errors I've tracked down on Subeta because of what we do. The toy post alone is going to be huge!

Thanks for the feedback. I truly hope when I get discouraged I am not bringing you down or making you feel unappreciated. The site would have closed years ago were it not for you guys!

I did think that subeta probably would have never even thought of a book list like this had we not come up with it first. Honestly I am syprised they didn’t include the different ways of sorting like we have.

I can ponder on things/features that might be realistic to implement and be helpful (I definitely think we should bring back the discussion about achievement lists - even with personal notes I think we could maybe sort out some additional way to make them easier to search/keep track of).

Also I hateeeee the new directory here. Parts of it are helpful but the giant descriptions + the inability to click on the CI to wishlist (it takes you right to the item details page now instead) + the lack of listing where shit restocks now has just made it an ordeal to use on mobile.

I've spent over 30 minutes adding 48 items to my wish list. I'd have been done in less than 10 if they didn't change that.
