: Yikes. Glad your power's back. Hope you didn't lose too much food in the fridge/freezer. (Last time we lost power, it was for a couple of days and I had to throw a lot of stuff out. :( )
I think everything will be fine. I pretty much ate all the ice cream so it wouldn't melt. Everything else seems fine! . I can't imagine not having power for days. That would really stink.
laughs Getting to eat all the ice cream is the best part of a power outage!
- Did you lose power because of the big snow/wind storm? I know it caused a lot of problems up where my parents live - 10,000 people without power and semi trucks blown over on the highways. :o
It was the wind. There was a bit of snow blowing sideways but it blew right away, lol
Just wanted to give you all a heads up that I am pretty much computer-less at the moment, meaning I'm unable really to add items. My husband is pretty sure that it's the logic board, but we're taking it in to Apple next Saturday for confirmation. If it is that, I'll be picking up a new Mac while I'm there, so I'll be back. If it's something else, we'll have them fix it, but no telling how long it could take. I can still do edits on my iPad and phone, so I'll continue to check all of the grammatical and spelling reports I've been submitting.
I'm sorry about your computer - I hope it's something easily/cheaply repairable =/
: Ugh. I'm sorry to hear the news. :(
Oh that stinks. hopefully it will be an easy and cheap fix!
hopefully it's nothing serious and easy to fix.. I was working at Apple Store few years ago, in my opinion you'll find yourself buying a new one, so if you see that you are entering a loop of visiting the store every few weeks because the Mac is still messy, just give up.. And I hope you have an iCloud backup of many precious things..
ugh sorry to hear you're having computer problems. I hate switching to a new computer - yes even when its newer and better than the old. Of course shortly I get used to it and forget I ever had an old computer, but still.

- I have things saved in Google Drive, Dropbox, and iCloud as well as an external hard drive that we have set up as a time machine, so we're all good with documents and things being saved. I think I'm super paranoid about that! I'm actually kind of looking forward to the idea of a new computer. Mine is 6 years old now and I wasn't able to successful upgrade to the High Sierra operating system. That should have been my first hint that something was up.
So this is good and you shouldn't worry about your files, I remember many customers who lost years of files and it was just impossible to bring them back because they didn't backup them.
Like any computer of big companies, they have their expiring date and 6 years is a lot of time, I mean, it actually survived more than it should lol For example, many HP laptops resists for 3-4 years and then the motherboard is dying..
So in my opinion, just buy a new one, for one main reason, the technology is so advance for a 6 years computer, mine is 8 years old and barely can open 3 tabs without freezing..
Hey O, other than just deleting the image from the database, IDK how to remove the Common Experiment . I assume that deleting the image will only leave us with a listing for the pet with a broken image...
: I think all you need to do is delete the image. Does the Scribble Experiment need to go as well?
Yup, I guess it does.
By the way, I remembered to get my mail TODAY lol. Thanks cutie! ;)
: Hey, glad it arrived safely! :)
- do we have a spot somewhere that we can check for when items get updated? I cannot recall and just realized that like...the laurels (stat boosters + clothing) got updated CIs and overlays. I fixed them on SL but I can't remember when they got revamped. I'd like to try and help catch all that up though if you can point me at where to check for that haha (not today because I'm leaving for work soon though).
sometimes they show up in the news (but usually only if they add items to a series - like plushies). Sometimes they will mention it in the Thursday sprint thread. Sometimes they'll post a tinyupdates ping (join this ping group if you haven't already) https://subeta.net/forums.php/groups/#/group/7133 . You should also join https://subeta.net/forums.php/groups/#/group/6323 site update group if you haven't. They'll also sometimes just do a regular post in a thread that requested an update. There are a few ongoing suggestion threads for items that need updating and another for items that should be multi-use (eatable/wearable/playable/ etc).
Thing about the laurels is that I thought they already got done. Might have happened around time the site changed locations.
Unfortunately the vast majority of updates and fixes and revamps get done quietly without a notice ever being done. Usually while I;m questing, I'll notice an item change and check to see if its been updated on subetalodge.
Other than that, we depend on users to let us know if they notice anything. On SubetaLodge, whenever I do a news post, I check the forums for new posts since I was last on.

Okay, I'm gonna hang onto the ping so I can check I'm in all the groups (I think I am already) and then I'll make sure I bookmark the forums mentioned as well. I thought they'd been done too but maybe it was when we switched over and they just didn't hold. Or they slipped through during the change. I'll try to keep a better eye out too when I'm questing/etc.
