Honestly, I don't think there's really a schedule anymore to when approvals/denials happen. I try to check daily unless I'm swamped with work/homework. I've been sick this weekend though.
I rarely vend and sadly have no idea what any of the items/rarity caps are sorry :(
Thanks for updating the guide. I have no idea what the rarity caps are. Not very high though!
Forgot to mention that a I have seen a lot of people complaining about how difficult it is to find face items since they have no common word like NOSE or EYES
For items that are multi-feature I think we could either include them in both places or make a separate section for them.
Yeah, I've read the same complaints.
Also, what to do about items that aren't in the face layer that give you facial features -

Umm, I guess they would be in another category! lol. We would have to work EXTRA hard to find them though. :x
Hey, you look really pretty!
, - That would be like a "skins with facial features" category.
By the way, we're talking about just official Subeta items right, and not venturing into CWs?
Yes, official items only
: Is anyone aware of items that grant different facial features to male vs. female avatars? That is, should I be checking both overlays (which would take twice as long)?
- As far as I know, the overlays for all facial items are the same for male and female. I don't think I've ever come across any that are different.
I am pretty sure male v female items are restricted to costume trunk and chest items. No face items included.
You are not supposed to be checking ANYTHING yet
I'm only aware of two items that are different for male and female, neither face items.
thank you :). I'm really loving how you've used that background. I've seen others try to use it and it simply didn't highlight it in the stunning way you have.
and Georgie, yeah but the Pantheon Potion in particular is an item I've wanted to use several times and was frustrated at not being able to find when I wanted it. There is also these blank, scared eyes that I occasional want to use and can never find - can't even find them to give the example here. I don't think putting them in a different category would help people find them...or suppose it could, but its not somewhere I would naturally look.
With more than 30K official clothing items and 29K CWs there has got to be something more efficient to find stuff to dress our HAs!

- There's a whole thread here about revamping the layer system. I wish they would do it, but it's a huge undertaking.
stunning? wow, thanks!
I find it scary that there are nearly as many CWs are there are official wearables. In far fewer rooms. Not that they release all that many wearables anymore. but then, why would they need to?
oh my word! That would be a huge undertaking for us as well
Yeah it would be, but well worth it I think. I added my support to that suggestion from the very beginning.
I really hate the way items are currently sorted into layers. My single biggest issue is the hair vs. head ornament/hat/anything that isn't hair. Then the same item in different layers - vests in both chest and overchest - capes in both overchest and shoulder, and so on. Then layers like back vs lower back and body vs. fullbody with nothing specifically screaming which item should be in which layer. Ground/foreground/background all have huge issues too.
Also, that doesn't include items that are in the wrong layer because of a typo (like at one point all the snowsuits were in fullbody, except one that was in overchest).

Believe me, I'm not, but I have done a little research on how we might do this best. If we have a bunch of overlays in a folder, we can specify a rectangular 'spot' on the overlay and generate a list of which overlays are not transparent on that spot. That'll give us a fairly quick way of identifying 'eye' items or 'cheek' items, etc.
The slow part will be getting a folder of overlays -- that'll involve downloading tens of thousands of images from Subeta without ticking them off. And I don't want to store those images long-term; they'll take up a lot of space that we don't have to spare.
Realistically, though, it's something I think can be done within a few weeks.
[edit] 's observation about the non-face-layer items that give facial features is a snag. I can run the same test-the-eye-pixels-to-see-if-the-overlay-is-blank test on these, too, but there are hair items that cover the eyes, so the overlay won't be blank on those items, even though they're not really 'eye' items.
yeah, I don't think that would work. There are also hats that partially cover eyes, full backgrounds, some animals (birds, I'm thinking), maybe some kites or other stringed items. There's a lot!
Even just going through the face layer I think we're going to run into lots of problems with just masks, never mind the rest.

It just seems like that must be an easier way
sure there's an easier way.
Step one, invent time travel. Step two go back and add a field, then put info in as we add items.

Why not just another checkbox selection. We already have a selection for what layer it is on. Just add a choice for face items...
| On a completely unrelated note -- I noticed that some of the items that were in the Battle Shop were still listed as "Does Not Restock". I've indicated that these items are in the Battle Shop.
While doing so, I came across two questions:
Shinwas Hand Mirror is listed as a weapon and an "other". What's the 'other'? Does it have a use option?
Cuirass of Deathward and Welldweller Cuirass had an official price listed in sP, which suggests they used to restock somewhere else -- since they're both clothing and weapons, though, I don't know where that restock location might have been. Does anyone remember?
[edit] I finished grading exams, have the rest of the day off. Masters' and PhD graduations are tomorrow, Bachelors' graduations are Saturday. After that I've got some free time again.
