they were all great deals! me neither lol its like the showtunes I know... no idea but weren't from the folks... its amazing!
hopefully I can find some suitable cheap fabric and try making up one of the tops - I tried the 'sloper' pattern I made up the other day (one of those that involves a lot of maths), and it fits quite well all considering I hadn't ever done that before, so that should work really well to figure out what size pattern I need to make on the tops :D

I really loved your pics with crochet Sherlock watching over the set. :D
Still made it out for a walk today in the pouring rain.. lost a bit more weight lately too which is nice. :)

one day I'll get around to making a crocheted Dr Watson & also possibly crocheted Molly Hooper as well ;)

ooh that's exciting at least the rain kept it cool huh? Congrats about the weight loss!
I just need to figure out how to make the changes to the pattern to make it fit the same as the sloper does laughs - that's the challenging bit!

I'm hoping the instructions will be in my 'sew many dresses' book - I'm pretty sure that had a feature on how to do alterations to the pattern, but it might not be basic enough for me!

all I can say is good luck since maths and I do not get on.
I'm just hoping the bust darts match the size of the ones on the sloper - that'll save a load of rejigging ;)

thats one of the issues with the knit shirt I posted. the shirt slides down so the darts are in the wrong place... makes it look really bad.
:K that's no help is it! I guess it doesn't sit right on the shoulders, which makes it slide down on the front? Could you try taking the shoulder seam in by half an inch and seeing if that helps it sit right (pin it then check you can still get it on first!)

yeah... I could though with the bias biding on I don't know how to do that unless I took the bias off first...
I'd forgotten about the bias binding.... could it just be the weight of the jersey fabric pulling it down.... maybe? tries to think of a way around that

yeah, it slid down before I added the bias binding. I could try taking the binding off and just hem it.. add ribbing instead of the binding.
if you just try pinning the shoulder first (leave the binding on), and see if that helps - otherwise you could find you unpick the binding them realise that didn't work at all to resolve the problem.... ;)

yeah xD though at the moment I'm not sure I'd use it the way it is.
hopefully it won't be too challenging to try fixing it though :)

well at least it was inexpensive I guess. ooh spiffy ha today. Is that a new bg?
true ;)
Thanks :D Nope, it's one from a while ago - but the skirt's new ;)
