Sid had a longer life here than he could've done elsewhere too, Lene - if we hadn't spotted the scaly face, he wouldn't have lasted a year, let alone 7 and a half :) It's providing challenging to do stuff that he'd normally chirp to though.... and that's most of the things in the day

We are suppose to get lightning and thunder today.. so we will see about walk later today. xD

nods because he wasn't himself certainly for the last week, the house was quieter than normal anyway, but it definitely seems way too quiet & empty :( Even putting the recycling out yesterday was challenging, as he liked to chirp to the plastic being crushed....

We're storing the cage at my Grandparents' house, just in case we want to get another budgie in the future - Mum seems to think that'll be likely to happen eventually, but I'm not too sure as I think I'd be forever comparing a new bird to Sid. But it's not a decision we'll be making any time soon though

Budgie chirping is such a happy sound.

It can be good to give yourself some time before deciding if you want to get a new pet. I find as hard as it is to lose one, you can always learn to love a new pet. You just gotta give yourself some time for now.

nods I made a point of looking through the photos I have yesterday - with my Hamster, I couldn't look at pics of him for ages afterwards, and I didn't want that to happen with Sid

Its understandble to find it hard to look at pictures like that. Hopefully that helped a bit. He was a handsome lil bird. ;)

I was determined to have lots of photos of Sid, as I only have 4 of Hammi (and they're quite blurry) - that's partly how we were able to identify the Scaly Face problem, as we could compared his nose to how it looked originally. He definitely was the most engaging budgie we've ever had ;)

I can't imagine Sorn on the beach.... unless there was a thunderstorm of course. Thanks :) I didn't feel like changing outfits today. The day seems to be dragging like crazy, but after Mum did her 'job in the garden' (we just need to pick a plant to go over the spot), me & dad played golf on Sports Resort.... it wasn't the easiest thing to do (as Sid chirped along & got excited when the commentator said "good birdie"), but I don't want to be avoiding stuff just because Sid liked it.

not really - I should get out for a wander round the block or something, but I dunno if I feel I can handle that.... it was hard enough yesterday just getting my shoes from underneath the table the cage lives on so I could bring the washing in before it started raining....

nods I normally lean on the bed to colour, but in the warm weather I wear a skirt rather than trousers.... so I'm kneeling directly on the carpet to lean on the bed, and my knees don't approve of the carpet fabric :K I'll make myself a cushion at some point, so I can pad it out a bit :P
