blocking it should definitely help make the size more true :) Just make sure the cats don't try jumping on it while it's all pinned out!

wow that's mega pricey! o.0 I was looking at the prices here and I almost fell over... like seriously? $30 for a cover that basically is cardboard and a thin bit of fabric? o.0

nods that one has a bit of plastic to hold it in (I think), but there's a lot of slip cases that are about 20 quid.... so that's roughly 30-35 dollars.... if you use some 2oz polyester wadding (the cheap stuff :P) you could quilt the lining, so it'd be padded, without looking quilted on the front maybe?

oh I have it sorted, got quilting batting and am gonna lightly quilt the lining only. XD

I've only ever tried blocking once, and that was with acrylic yarn so it wasn't overly successful (it's more for wool / wool blends), but I reckon your sweater will come out brilliantly :D

This didnt make too much of a difference when I checked it today. Might be due to it being alpaca yarn.. and just steaming.. rather than getting it all that wet. xD You live in learn I guess.

if you spray some water over it (just with one of those mister spray bottles), and pin it out to the right shape, it should work - just let it dry naturally :)

We'll see. I did get a pretty teal knit at the fabric warehouse for an insane price, so hoping to make that into a tanktop---but I do already have several projects in the queue.

I know, very happy I'm not sure I have enough. But I'll look once the back as calmed down, as that was my thought too.
