It’s hard to find words for your surroundings, being trans-dimensional and all. But it seems like you’re “floating†above Midgard in a cold sky with black and blue colors, slightly enlightened by Aurvandill’s shine and the distant moon in front of you. The named cloud is tremendous, nearly four headhigh and wide as a human natatorium. It’s moving; waving, nearly crawling. The consistence of the cloud seems to be common waterdrops and ice crystals.
You ask DÃse how close you may get and she watches the obstacle with Hematite eyes. “Since it’s persevering on-site I guess you can get as close as you want.†She suggests. “It’s just a cloud.â€

A natatorium is a building containing a very large indoor swimming pool. For purposes of measure, I'd use Olympic sizing.
Traditionally a head would be about 12 inches, more or less in proportion to an ideal foot, so four head would be about 48 inches or four feet.
In other words, it's a ginormous cloud. :D

Howl would like to know what the area is like, what sort of capabilities the valkyries have, and if he actually needs to liberate the shard or if Sváfa will give it to him if he can escape them.

Mal was wondering if they just have to get through the ring of sisters or if they have to get out of there altogether and leave the area?
How far do they have to go to escape? Is it out of sight, or just breaking through the ring?
<p>The area looks a little bit like this: A glade in the form of a nonagon with dense broadleafs that seems to build a natural "wall" around the valkyries hut. The grass on the ground is short and afford good hold --- either for fighting or running. Since you recently cleared the sky in Aurvandill&;s name it&;s sunny. Maybe you can use the blinding light to your advantage?
As far as you recall valkyries can fly, are immortal and professional warriors. Aside of that they are "earthly", meaning they are linked to physical laws like every other being on Midgard.
DÃse rates the standoff and lets you know that she thinks it&;s adequate to escape Sváfas allegiance to gain the splitter. It&;s not that they want to harm you (or so you hope). The valkyries do want to have some fun, "hunting" and showing off their power skills. This is more a trial of strength.
<p>It&;s enough to break through their "circle" to win this game.
<p>You do NOT have to leave the glade and vanish out of sight to finish the quest. But remember that Sváfa and her sisters were able to navigate (flying) around so escaping the ring might necessitate wide movements.
