You say face layer for the second set of items. They're foot layer wears. Also, for the first set, they're round? Seriously? T.T!
Howl would like to know if there is any other evidence or witnesses to either crime or Jili's whereabouts. He'd like to take a look at the scene of the crime, and know more about the kidnapped child. He'd also like to take a look at the alleged changeling, and ask the mother why she thinks the child is not hers.

I saw them all as being just that--round. She did give us almost perfect circles. I think she meant foot layer, too.
The orphans would like to know:
- what the child looks like now, and also what Tylwyth Teg and the babe's parents look like as well as confirmation on the fact that Jill's hair appears to be dark brown. (Is the Bendith y Mamau the same creature as in Welsh mythology, for purposes of physical description?)
- Are the babe's parents at all musical? Is Jill?
- How was your trip? Hope you had a great holiday!

<p>DÃse says Tylwyth is the only known witness (besides Jili) when it comes to the “whereabouts†of the defendant. So you have to trust their/her word, I guess.
After a little argument with the judge the lady deity at your side manages to convince the prosecution that you may take a look at the given crime scene: A cottage located in the Black Mountains of Carmarthenshire. As you enter the meek lodging a middle-aged woman squires you to the second of three rooms, which lies at the north end and seems to be the sleeping quarter for mother and child. The room is tiny, just five steps from one side to another. It seems unlikely that nobody would notice a visitor here. The furniture only consists of a wooden cradle, that rests next to an oval window --- which is now closed. As well as some straw bunches and feather pillows, lying in the corner vis-Ã -vis the door, which seems to be a provisional bed.
The mother, she says her name is Delwyn, asks what exactly you want to know about her sweet golden-haired boy? She let you catch a glimpse at the baby she’s holding in her arms, swaying. Ellis, she explains, couldn’t be that child. Mothers just know that sort of stuff. They look exactly the same. But Ellis was an excessive crier until the night of the “crimeâ€. And now he seems happy and frugal. Delwyn knows the stories about such dramatic changes in personality. She heard them from friends and family. Ellis being a changeling is the only possible explanation!

Are the babe&;s parents at all musical? Is Jill? </p>
<p>The baby you see, when his mother Delwyn let you take a closer look, is a golden-haired as well as rosy-cheeked boy with moss green eyes and some subtly freckles around his nose, ears and chin. Tylwyth Teg, you recall, is a graceful fairie with black hair and eyes like azure. Delwyn owns the same wheat-blonde hair the pretended changeling has, with rose colored cheeks but a mountain blue eye color. You never heard or see anything about Ellis’ father, so DÃse asks Delwyn about him. She calls him sharp-featured, with pearly alabaster skin and eyes like black amber. Before you could ask Jili for a hair sample she already rooted a little wisp of hair and hands it to you: Dark brown, like chocolate. You knew it! (Without attracting attention your guide lets you know that the Bendith y Mamau you heard about is the same we’re handling here, by the way. It’s not all about beauty.)
You turn towards Delwyn again, to ask her about the musical talent of herself and Ellis’ father. The middle-aged woman seems to think about this context and gives a little humming --- not as a demonstration, it was just an automatism to comfort the baby in her arms. “I guess I am.†She admits. “Every female member of my family was. It’s in our blood. My husband is too, but not as suitable as he could be. Jili? Oh, that little trouble-maker cannot discriminate between one note and another. Hearing her songs can make your ears bleed. But it’s not her fault. She is a gifted dancer by contrast.â€

<p>As mentioned before the changeling baby looks like an identical copy of Ellis: Golden-haired, rosy-cheeked with moss green eyes and some subtly freckles around nose, ears and chin. No malformations. The only “conspicuity†is his new kindhearted behavior --- the fact he’s weeping less than before.
Dale, Ellis’ father, sadly isn’t there to question. He produces iron poking sticks, which he sales at the next in size city. At the moment he is gone trading, but will be back with the next full moon rising (approximately 2 weeks).
Bendith y Mama seems bugged as you ask for her alibi. “I was at home.†She finally grunts. “Alone. I couldn’t know I’d need an alibi, could I?†Seems like yes and no in this case.

So you turn to your reluctantly client and ask if she can recall someone who watched her (going) dancing. “Let me see.†The pixie bit her lip. “Of course Tylwyth was there. I ran into her when I left the colony. I’m not sure about the rest though. I use to dance in a stone circle nearby, under the water. I still have my wet clothes to prove it. But I couldn’t remember anyone else being there. There was a big fairy rade going on and many of my siblings preferred riding their horses with them instead of dancing around. They don’t like getting wet because it ruins their fair-hair, you know.â€
Jili wants to know what exactly you want to know about her best friend Tylwyth Teg?
While DÃse interrogates Delwyn about the father of the child it transpires that Dale left his family the night before the given “crimeâ€. His hair color is black. How suspicious...
<p>Bendith, also known as "Blessing of the Mothers", is a distant cousin from Jili. She named her responsible for the crime in her testimony. Bendith is a member of a rather unpleasant clan of Welsh fairies, possibly the result of interbreeding between fairies and goblins. She’s the black sheep of the family: Stunted and ugly, having auburn hair, a potato like nose and fangs. It’s an open secret she envies everything beautiful.

Where was Tylwyth Teg on the day the child went missing? And also how long have they been friends? How would Jili describe their friendship? How is the relation of Tylwyth to the child?
About the father....how long does he need to travel to his work? Is there a way to ask him some questions? Is he a good father? Does he miss his child much when he's gone? How is his relation to the rest of the family (delwyn)?
About Bendith y Mama. Is there anyone who could have seen her at home? Maybe entering her house or something?

Remember guys, it’s not about solving a “mystery†here. It’s about finding Jili not guilty. Don’t overthink things. It’s a game after all. ^^
<p>The relationship between Dale and Delwyn seems to be intact. They love each other. Both of them wanted a child and Ellis is their one and only. Rumor has it he isn’t happy travelling around all the time, because he misses his son and wants to be by his side. Dale fears he might miss something important while he’s away. He’d love to stay at home and play daddy while Delwyn makes the money but this isn’t possible (because she wasn’t apprenticed and Dales profession is much needed in this superstitious territory). So he’s suffering. A purportedly caring man with a perfervid temper. But you&;ve got to do what you&;ve got to do, right?

<p>Tylwyth makes an innocent face when you address her. “Where I was on the day the child went missing? I … couldn’t remember. Really. I drank a lot with my friends Gwyllion and Ellyllon during that fairy rade. There are only fragments of memory… Some familiar faces, a laughter here and there, lots of cider. It was a continual coming and going of people and horses… Hard to tell who went where?†She shrugs.
“Buddies,†Tylwyth continues. “Jili and I were since childhood. We’re close like sisters. Jili would say I’m a little bit jealous about her dancing talent, but that’s just teasing between friends. I would never ever let her down.†You bring up the connection between Tylwyth and Ellis and the pixie seems in high dudgeon. “Just because I’m helping Delwyn as a babysitter here and there doesn’t mean I’d replace her child with a changeling.†She states. “I love children. Always have. I want to have many someday. But not now. I’m just testing how it would be. And Ellis is super sweet to handle. You know… I do like Delwyn. I do. But she’s a little bit lost with him being a crybaby and all. That’s why I offered a helping hand. She wasn’t herself after days and days without sleep. But you didn’t heard that from me.â€
While you’re interviewing Jilis best friend DÃse searches for more clues about Dale. People said the next in size city is roughly five days away --- if you go by foot. They don’t know if Ellis’ father makes breaks between the travels, but suppose he’s staying in a cabin in the woods where an uncle of him resides. It’s approximately one day’s march away. Unfortunately you couldn’t ask him more questions. But from what you’ve heard so far he really misses his child when he’s gone. [see s quote above]
Bendith is much of a loner, always hanging inside her house while others make party. So same here as with Tylwyth: No official alibi, because the fairy rade kept most of the colony members busy. Maybe someone saw her… maybe not. You cannot trust a drunken pixie --- or a horde of them.

Giving the defendant the benefit of the doubt... You all did great during this challenge! Kudos to those of you who came up with the "traditional" way of revealing an otherworldly identity by boiling egg shells in front of the child.
