I have read a little bit about the upcoming season of Shield. I have to say that I'm really disappointed that Bobbi and Hunter's show won't be happening. I liked their characters too.

I did.

I wasn't particularly moved. Mostly I think its because it was so long ago. When they aired the finale I knew there would a "cliffhanger" and so I forced myself not to care about the outcome, so I wouldn't spend months anxious about it. So when it finally aired, I was all "whatever."

I was not so much moved as I was impressed that they finally made Rick into a semi-whimpering mess rather than showing him yet again as infallible. And I was definitely howling with laughter at Neegan. I love Jeffrey Dean Morgan and I think if it were any other actor in the role I would probably hate the character already but I just can't bring myself to hate! lol I did find him very entertaining.

I get what you mean. But I like to be able to root for the main character, and when they make such bad decisions for him that I can't do that, I get bored.

As for Neegan I wasn't impressed. I neither like nor dislike the actor. I did like his role on Extant, but never transferred the like of the character to liking the actor.

I too like to be able to root for the main character; not root for him to die, lol.

Obviously I don't know him personally but he has always made my viewing pleasure more pleasurable. :D

I'll keep watching...at least for a few more episodes. I have a system for shows its time to give up on. Do I jump to a show immediately on the DVR, or does it sit there for a few days? Am I excited to hit the play button, or do I only hit the play button because the machine is getting kinda full and I really should get it out of the way. Right now Walking Dead isn't my first pick, but its also not at the stage where I'm just watching it to make more space on the DVR.

wow! I have that same system at my house! There have actually been a few times where I have caught myself thinking "I'll watch it if I have too" and those are the times I know the system has failed me. :/

I know we both have said before that we were on the verge of throwing in the towel on it. I guess we will see how far we get this time.

LOL I didn't have anything to say either. Loved the cat, though the proportions where a little off. Carol was being a little too transparent. Not sure if I should blame the director or the writers, but its like someone forgot how Carol is supposed to act.

I felt like they forgot that last year. I know she was trying to hide her real tendencies but they took it too far. Now this giggling goon is too goofy for words.

Okay, so where was Maggie actually at? What did Mischonne see burning there at the end. Maybe it wasn't burning, it was hard to tell!! MOSTLY all those trucks apparently pulled right up to the gate where three people were standing and apparently no one heard them coming!

I'm not positive, but I think the burning stuff was mattresses. Like Neegan's bullies didn't need them, just wanted to make life harder for the group.

As for Maggie, I'm not sure, but what makes the most sense is that she's at Hilltop getting medical help.

LOL if people had heard the trucks you wouldn't have been able to create the menacing NEEGAN SHADOW monster! EEEP! They also very casually dismissed the people who stand watch at the watch towers.....

I just don't get Neegan's strategy at this point. I mean initially it makes sense, cow them until they break, kill a few people to make the point, etc. But to drive them beyond endurance is just stupid. With that kind of over the top BS someone will eventually get desperate enough to assassinate him, sacrificing themselves if they have to because Neegan will kill them anyway. The way he's behaving, his tactics indicate that he surrounds himself with weakness (because he fears strength), so you chop off the head and the body will fall to infighting.

Oh, I think you are right! I just got the vague impression of something whitish and smoldering. Makes sense.

I am not trying to figure out Negan's strategy. I am just enjoying the eye candy, lol. Well, I do enjoy the flavor he adds, as well. I feel like he is the most entertaining villain the audience has had. I think he does and excellent job of giving him distinct physicality to go along with his large personality. Yes, his BS is totally over the top but he is also charismatic to a certain extent, too. I will take this over another season like the one we spent on the farm anytime.

Yes to the book mark. I find myself wishing I had a way of making it darker while still keeping the cutouts cut out. Oh well.

Hilltop is the place that had gardens in front of a mansion. They were getting extorted by Neegan's gang and couldn't trade with our group because Neegan was bleeding them dry. So Rick agreed to "take care" of Neegan for them, which started all this. They had that slimy/creeper leader, but most of their people where decent and they had a real doctor (not a medic, EMT or other quasi doc) who is an ob/gyn. Maggie got ultrasound scans of her baby there.

Thing is I don't feel an oz of charisma from him. I just see fear.

For changing the hue of your cutouts, there are many ways of doing that. Depending on where and/or how you layer them, they have strikingly different effects. Items that darken:

Items that can make interesting effects: Various Tempest Marbles, Various Pumpkin Foggers, Various Tumbled gems

Thanks for those suggestions. I was actually wanting to keep the cutout portions as they were and darken the white part but those are good ones to keep in mind for potential future HAs.

Admittedly a large part of my affection for his character stems from years ago when he was on Grey's Anatomy and more recently, The Good Wife. I do think he is a mighty fine looking man :D

I think you may have been mixing up seasons. There was a hospital a few seasons ago that had cops/medical people in a city that were holding Maggie's sister, Beth.

I've been trying to figure out a way to accomplish what you're talking about, because I often find the stark white a little...well stark. It would have to be done with a custom cw that only works with the one cutout. Kinda like the background/foreground sets that make your HA ghostly looking.
