As near as I can tell, you can initiate a thread anonymously, but you have to have an account to respond to an existing thread. I wouldn't even bother responding, though -- the people over there are petty and snipey, and they are quick to judge without facts. Do we really want to lie down with these dogs?

On another note -- I sent this message to Georgie on Friday, and she's asked me to bring it here. Short version: I'd like to convert some of the more commonly-used Item Notes in a way that can be searched/filtered more easily. This would be a big undertaking and would require some code changes as well.

It would be nice to be able to search all items that "restock" from the Ikumoradeekanox Tree, for example :P Or all of the items that "restock" from The Hustler, for another example.

I agree item notes are becoming cumbersome and we've tried our best to standardize them, but that hasn't worked very well.

I think if we're going to do all that work (which I don't have a problem with), we should really examine the situation more closely.

Of what use are the notes? Why do you use them, if you do, and to what use do our users put them to?

Personally, I use them to create custom lists for the most part. For events in particular, like collecting all the Morostide items.

The other major use is to find out where something comes from before I spend millions in a user shop.

One way I'd like to use them is to figure out why I have an item wishlisted. Example, I get an item from some source and it has that handy dandy wishlist box around it. I realize it must be for a recipe - but is it genetech, spell, alchove, baking, part of a set of items I need for an achievement? At times it can be really tough figuring out why I want a particular item.

is it just me still having errors? I knew KNEW the server move was not going to fix anything and yet I still had a teeny tiny bit of hope deep down inside. I am still having just as many errors as ever. Subeta is consistent in letting me down.

Definitely not! I've been having more, way more errors since the server change. For me, I think they've gotten 4 or 5 times more common.

And there's other shit going on. When the changed/updated the forums a few days before the server change lots of errors were introduced. Fortunately many were also fixed, however there are still many annoying ones, I can't like HAs anymore (and I love yours by the way), and a few other things. I strongly suspect those will never get fixed. Its Subeta's pattern. Fix as many errors as they can easily, then get distracted by new shit caused by the latest update/change/fix and never go back to finish cleaning up the mess from the previous one.

Thanks for answering though I do wish it were a different answer. I can't imagine a day when everything actually functioned and had no errors. I know we remember when it was SO much worse but still, all these years later much more progress should have been made. THEY SHOULD HAVE FIGURED THIS STUFF OUT BY NOW.

I chuckle at the promise on the third floor of the Blue Building that more is coming soon. If it were a real building, homeless people would be camping out in it, that's how neglected it's been.

I'm a master level procrastinator and even for me 10 years is a wee bit over the top definition for "soon" - LOL I doubt they even remember what they had planned way back when.

Not gonna happen, they'll never admit they were wrong. But I would scream if they did...my shops are currently a quarter new, half old, and a bunch of stuff in my vault. If they switched back I'd feel like I was endlessly categorizing my shit.

They need to fix up the new shops so we can get back to functional shops - add prices to galleries and categories to shops!
