True, even with lots of people hitting it, 5M HP can take a while to whittle away even with no db to speak of.

I'm full of contradictions! ;) The way I see it -- people who aren't involved or interested in what happened with kbbob see the front page and just think I'm being silly as usual. Well, crap, and right in the middle of all this drama...

My mom went into the hospital today for some routine, recurring tests, but this time, they admitted her overnight. No definite bad news yet; they just want to do a more extensive follow-up on one of the results. Depending on what those results are, I may or may not be scarce the next few days. Trying not to overreact here -- tests are good, right? :)

Actually, I just recently read an article on dealing with the stress of positive (or at least suspicious) test results and there's a high chance that it will turn out to be something benign. The standards of routine testing are purposely set at a high bar so they end up having more false positives in order to avoid false negatives.

The article suggested keeping busy, so if you haven't finished questing, now's a good time to immerse yourself in that.

The last time I got test results that required further testing, it turned out to be absolutely nothing. A lot of stress and a CAT scan, but completely clear. Hopefully your mom will have the same results!

My experience matches what the article says. We've been through lots of rounds of tests that turn out to be just that. My mom's a tough, two-time cancer survivor, going back to the 1990's, so we're used to the routine. On the other hand, she's 83 now, and her mobility and memory are declining faster than before, so we've got cause to be more wary these days.

Anyway, thanks for the good wishes. (Also -- thanks for the tip on completing Sarah's quests; that was a new one to me!)

There used to be several different ways to temporarily dispose of your income in order to do Sarah quests (I got all those achievements by offering on trades of frozen users), but the site tightened those up so it got more complicated. I didn't know about the ping group work around until today either.

: Well, they must want people to have the ping group workaround, because as we know, they're 100% accurate.
