This topic is NOT private. I don't think people can just pop in and post, but if they know its here, they can certainly read it. When we were testing it out in the beginning, someone from outside the group was pinged here and they were able to get to it, read and post.

In addition to that, whatever you post in here does get added to your "recent post" list which is definitely public and can be read by anyone even if you don't have the link on your profile.

Sadly I must report that I had a not so good night. I woke after 3 hours of sleep, but I managed to fall back asleep for almost another 2 hours.

I am so sorry to hear that. I know how it feels to not sleep well. And when it goes on night after night you feel like you might just scream/die/cry/hit someone/all of the above. No doubt your meds have something to do with it? Been there, dealt with that. I hope it gets resolved very soon!

Well I've never slept well. The new meds are making it worse, but other things are better. So 6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other. Right now the sleep issue is less important than the things that are improving so...gotta live with it.

And, my poor boyfriend is the one who most gets to deal with my bad moods and need to yell. I sometimes get so resentful, he does get up with me when I wake up so early, but then after 1/2 hour or so he goes back to bed for hours! Its so unfair to him, but I just want to yell "if I can't sleep you shouldn't either" - I'm terrible.

I've got about another 3-4 weeks before I get blood tests to see if my meds need adjusting up or down. Right now my symptoms are so all over the place that I can't tell myself if I need more or less, or just time to adjust.

Well massa' missa' I would have if I had thought of it but I was editing a post I put in the lair last night for their requested revamped forum images that had no codes included. shakes my head How I missed that I have no idea, lol! The spoiler was there tho. Thats something.. right?

Nights like that are rough, and the next day can be so foggy you're not sure if you're coming or going.. been there, done that. I had to have my meds readjusted so they worked with lunesta instead of against it. That was absolut'ly NO FUN whatsoever. In the end I now sleep a solid 5 to 6 hours without going around double checking locks any more. I never fall into a deep sleep but once things leveled out the sleep quality I get now is better then it's been in years.

psst.. you could mention that we'll be sad that the party won't be joining in anymore but we're pretty sure in time we'll get over it Snarky that.. but I couldnt resist.

:( I wish I had some great suggestion or idea to help. But I do have lots of well wishes and good thoughts. :/ I am thankful you have a guy who is understanding, even if he does go back to bed! It is probably actually a good thing he does though. Two sleep deprived people in a relationship would not be a good thing.

That would be great to say to them but I think I will have to pass...for now. We will see how my response goes over and if I have to really get into it with them. My response is posted for your suggestions/approval, etc. Lypsyl that goes for you too.

Oh that reminds me, I might be sleep walking again. I keep waking up to bruises where I don't remember bumping into anything. Congrats on sorting things out and getting your meds working for you rather than against you :)

Yeah, I know that. He gets grumpy too when there are too many sleep interrupted nights, so it is great that he can manage to get in more sleep. I'm just unreasonably jealous, part of the tiredness and frustration of course.

No, I understand the jealousy! A natural response of the sleep deprived. Sleep walking is not good. Hope you don't sleep naked, just in case you leave the house!

I've never left the house, fortunately! LOL at least I don't think I have. If I did have to worry about that I'd have to wear a parka to bed instead of a nightie...it gets really cold up here!

Some people can have really adverse reactions to sleep aids that are introduced to the body and sleep walking is like the number one side-affect. My sister Karen has a list of issues that are really hard for her to manage, she's anti-social bi-polar with borderline manic behaviors and she's a type 2 diabetic. Her shrink put her on a "new wonder drug" to help her sleep and she almost killed herself rolling her truck while driving to the farm - sound asleep. She remembers going to bed and the next thing she knew she was hanging upside down and some guy telling her to hold still which is NOT a good way to wake up. She freaked out, understandably, she thought she was in her apartment sleeping and some stranger had tied her upside down to the ceiling. I think it was ambien.

Be really careful with that kind of thing. Have your keys where it's hard to get at them, unplug your stove if you're normally doing the cooking, and brace up the doors with a chair so you'll trip instead of wandering out into the night. It should even out in a few weeks if this is the right combination for you and what your body needs.

It took years to get things right in my head and out, and like Georgie said I dont have a solution but I know what you're saying and what you're going thru on some levels, its not the same for everyone of course but we get it and understand exactly how angry and frustrated it can make you feel. I remember standing in the middle of a huge thunderstorm and screaming at the top of my lungs I JUST WANNA BE NORMAL IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?? Now I've learned that this is my "normal".

Back when my husband was an actual cable installer before he moved to management, he would walk in his sleep, talk, etc, do very weird things....always "installing cable." I was always afraid he was going to wander out the door to run a line of something. ANd he sleeps naked. One night while he was sleeping and I was watching tv in the living room he got up and brought me in the bedroom. Put me on the bed on hands and knees with everything placed just so. I thought, hey we are going to h ave some fun now! I realized he was asleep when he told me I had to stay like that so Everything would be grounded. :p
