Season 2 epi 4. Mostly I yell about the kid. Like don't lie to him and don't "soften" things to "protect" him! Especially since they have a horrible tendency to leave him on his own with no babysitter.

The other thing I yell about is practicalities ("just kill him/her already" "stop kissing and pay attention to your surroundings").

I get that you need to ratchet up the tension and so forth, but when characters do stupid things, or ignore the obvious, in order to make the tension happen, that's lazy writing.

You aren't too far ahead of me then. I still haven't watched the last ep of season 1.

Just got done watching Inside out. It wasn't my favorite pixar film... It was okay though.

Back to the Strain. Haven't seen too much of leaving the kid alone. The last I saw he was with the Nora's Alzheimer mother.

LOL yeah, that's even worse than leaving him alone - he was the one babysitting, but I'm not sure if he knew it! As far as him being left alone, I don't think he ever was, though he might have been. His dad will sometimes leave without finding out if others are planning on going out, or specifically having someone assigned to look after the kid. I guess part of the impression comes from not wanting to make the child the focus (as he shouldn't be), but they may be going too far in the other direction.

I do remember one epi (not sure if its one you've seen yet or not) where the dad comes back from somewhere and then asking around if anyone had seen the kid, everyone going "I dunno".

I mean the dad is going out of his way to make the kid helpless by actively lying to him, gets annoyed when the other adults try to vampire proof him, then leaves him on his own to fend for himself. I'm not kid crazy, I generally find kids on TV shows more annoying that anything else, but this behaviour still bugs the crap out of me.

Okay, the kid is starting to get more annoying. I'm in season 2 episode 3 and I'd probably beat the kid if he tried destroying the lab.

Saw where 2 or more users on subeta speaks were talking about finding the colors. Which is kinda cool if that happens. Reminds me of Rainbow brite and how she went from being Whisp to her current self.

So many posts! Yeah, I lost a little more color. I can't tell if my eyes are playing tricks with me or not, but it seems like I still have a little blue in the fins and red in the flowers.

Dirty! I'm going to share my outfit just to see if it comes in color or grayscale.
