I FINALLY managed to set up two of my pets pages (the only two I really plan on doing to be honest). Now I just have to write their stories x_x

I recently made a new pet (Hungry Ghost), and I have two more I want to make now, as soon as I can decide on their names. >_> I probably would have been tempted to make more too, I just don't want to spend all my remaining pet slots at once.

I keep thinking I should try finish at least one of my pets, but instead I keep getting distracted by new character/pet ideas... Even if I am in love with the ones I already have, I always struggle to complete them, and it always seems like the new shiny idea that comes along will be much easier to work on. =P Probably doesn't help that I'm not too satisfied with most of the things I try to write or draw, so I can never write anything for my pets that seems good enough. Even if a part of me thinks having something is better than nothing.

So yeah, lazy pet person here. I think I posted in here before, but it's a pretty long thread, so seems difficult to follow any of the convos here much.

New shiny ideas always seem to win over old stale ones. And the shininess wears off pretty fast. Making it quite difficult to ever finish a pet. D; I think a lot of us share that problem with you. I know I do.

A friend of mine recently made me choose a pet to finish and set me a due date. Even though I didn't actually finish it in time or at all yet it actually got me working on it. I have about half a story draft written. Christmas so got in the way. xD

I can see something like that being helpful, yeah.

(And I got the "massive family" achievement for having 40 pets yesterday. Yay. >_>)

It was really helpful... until other stuff got in the way and I forgot to keep at it. ^^; Doesn't help that it's a super old pet/character that I technically have finished before but decided to redo the story. x)

And yeah. I remember when we could only have 10 pets. Then we could get more slots, but it was pretty expensive. Now there's more options, so that's cool, but I have considered if I would be better off with less pets sometimes. Well, as long as I'm able to develop them all eventually. Otherwise it would be better to give them up, but some I'm pretty attached to even if it might not show going by their profile lol.

Also the other day I was thinking of whether I should make a pet or not (who was inspired by another HA of mine) because they might have some similarities with already existing pets, because I would use to try to not make any of my pets too samey, but then I could also have less pets back then. Now that I'm able to have 40+ I guess it doesn't hurt if I keep playing with similar ideas that I like. =P

Lanjelin. I had him all finished at one point. But yeah I also tend not to like my own writing after a while so I took the story down intending to rewrite it. And then at some point I also decided I would change the backstory of the character. SO now he's getting a whole new story.

Yeah, pet slots used to be really expensive. Now we can get a free one each year and the MC ones are pretty cheap as well.

Having 40 pets in progress at once is a bit much, but hey, at least when you finish one you don't have to worry about not having another to work on. ;)

Yeah it's a lot easier to convince yourself to make a pet for a new idea now that pet slots are more abundant. I used to not want more than one of any species or color, but I'm starting to think that might not work out. xD I only have 20 slots so far, but still there are some colors or species I just like so much one is not enough.

Yeah, I already got the one for 20k. That's REALLY cheap. 40k is relatively cheap as well, but I've been trying to save up so I didn't buy the rest yet (but it's nice to have 4 slots left over that I can buy once I need it, 'cause I can afford them right now).

Yeah... some of them are related as well, story-wise. That can help my inspiration a lot, when I can imagine how two characters bounce off each other. Can help both of them become more clear for me when I imagine their dynamic and such.

Lol, even back then I would have... 4 graveyard pets, so I wasn't that picky when it came to that. Some colors I like more than others anyway. Though I do remember wanting "all" the montres, but trying to stick with two. Like the nightmare montre... in hindsight, it's surprising I didn't get more nightmare pets, because it's one of the more attractive colors to me. =P But then some pets I make with an idea already in mind, so I try to find something that can fit that.

Having other characters for a character to interact with can really help. You should be able to get a much clearer picture of how they act and speak.

I totally get that notion. There's always going to be one or two colors you just like a lot more than the others. For me it's probably glacier. They're just so darn pretty. And chibi for the adorableness.

I actually have 6 open slots currently. I maxed out the csc slots during the previous black friday sale, because of how they weren't going to give a discount on them anymore. And now it seems they released 5 more slots so yay. Although I'm unlikely to get those in a while, but that's 9 more slots I can get, not counting the loyalty totems, so that's comforting, knowing I still have several potential slots open even if it will cost me. =P I actually wanted to wait until I got 10 extra slots before making more pets too, but then I got inspired...

Yeah, or it adds a bit to the character's... motivation? To imagine what kind of bond they have with someone else, whether good or bad. Of course, that often affects how they act too.

I love Glacier too, though I remember I got annoyed over how I had so many white pets. It's silly, but it looked a bit bland so I wanted more variety, but I don't like Reborn much, for example. But anyway, it seems I actually have 5 glacier pets, and I'm planning to get one more... though with the one I'm planning to get, the glacier aspect isn't supposed to be an aspect of his character (not directly anyway). Like I'm not imagining an ice theme, I just thought the demeanor/look of the glacier Devonti could be fitting, for example. Compared to Chill and Indifference, who I both imagined an ice theme for (with Chill's parents being ice mages or something like that, for example). Then there's Jerkass, but I didn't develop him much yet, though I did start thinking some more about his character recently.

And Chibi is cute, though I feel so mixed because the color does make me feel like they should be younger characters, and younger characters aren't so interesting to me usually (though I do like Precocious, who is scribble but with that name she can't be TOO old right). Yet some of the chibi revamps where so cute I had to get some anyway, but they aren't exactly my most developed pets. So I have three chibi pets who are mostly sitting there looking cute. =P Though they can be easy enough to imagine personalities for, at least (like the chibi irion is so like... "extroverted")

Yeah, I really do not fucking like it in the slightest.

The ONLY thing I like, which is not a lot, is that on my older computer it seems to load a bit better but there is still a ton of refreshing and cursing that gets done.

Just drag ALLLLLL of the shit you can't get rid of down to the bottom and or refresh before saving and or hit the X button a lot like you're waiting for an elevator. :/
