I saw this thread and just had to post.

I have all these amazing pet names I've collected over the years. I even have ideas for a few of them. I just can't seem to find the motivation to actually write their stories!

Here are the ones I started and never finished. I might scrap Hostile's story eventually and startover.

Hostile Enslaved *Just need to finish her story and get art. Razorblade *His story is complete, but his profile needs art. Asphyxiate Writer Lonely

I have all these wonderful names and can't do a thing with them. I also have Camera, Schizophrenic, and Hesitate that I'm dying to do something with. Plus a few others that are lower priority.

EDIT: Apprantely I found motivation and wrote for this guy at some point. I don't even remember doing it. XD

Welcome to the Lazy Pet People! Ugh, yeah. Getting art is like... Ugh.

This group is soooo me. I seem to start doing things for my pets and then, suddenly, run out of motivation. So far I have done work on the following:

Hakim My main battle pet, he has a TC and I have some human art of him, as well as his story idea but I've yet to write it down Yasu Here I need mostly art and a nice profile Anima Obscura Needs art and profile, as well as some deeper personal stuff in his story Daios I need to rewrite the last paragraph and get him a profile Solanacious I need to elaborate his story somewhat more and of course art, profile and a bit more in his TC Yanael Has a story that is nearly done but I have yet to write down the last paragraph, plus get him art and my newest addition to the family Tianqi, for whom I'm currently collecting TC items

So if you have ideas how to battle motivation loss, please please share them with me!

If I wrote up my pets profiles would anyone from here read them and let me know what you think?

Well, I finally wrote a story for Maleen at least. I still didn't finish the thing I wrote for Chill, though. >_>

Aah, finally found the perfect name for my garden snail and a design concept, but no story ideas yet. Gah!

Thanks. I already had the basic idea of wanting her to be under a love spell before, but took me a while to think of the backstory for it. And the image was an attempt of mine to make her in Sims 3.

And I ended up making another pet today (Seamless). x_x But at least this gives me some inspiration for other pets as well, because I start thinking of connections she could have with some of them. =P And of course, I feel she could be an interesting character in her own right, so... (Yay, mask arousal)

this is pretty much where i deserve to be. half of my pets with actual profiles and the other half bare? yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

lincoln lee, all i do is BC train now. justin timberlake, something broke on his profile and i cant find it in me to fix it. metacrisis, doctor who tributes are expensive. holleh i kind of gave up on. caveat lector i don't feel like remaking his profile. bjinn is suffering from the same thing as caveat. garrus, my poor baby i didn't do anything for :c scully. meh. moosie's profile is so messed up i should just make it default again. kitty pryde, adopted, haven't done jack with. thingamabob, adopted and then fell flat with ideas or TC options.

...and i still want a clock owl, because i had TONS of ideas for that nonexistant pet currently.

basically i am fail.

Wandr (Journey) is the one I've worked on the most, but I haven't finished his overlay or even started any kind of story for him.

Usshiwaka (Okami) is based on an already-established character so I'm pretty set on what to do for him, I just need to buckle down and get his overlay going. I've fiddled around with his profile a bit, but I'm not satisfied yet.

Jaan, I have no idea what to do with. He started as a generic ice-themed pet, but I'm half tempted to turn him into another fan pet? Probably a Grey Warden. I do have a griffin-type minion I could give him...

I was also thinking of getting a Neela as another fan pet for a Dragon Age OC. All the ideas, none of the motivation! XP

It's been so long but gah! so many pets and I keep changing them. My latest is kylix and I still don't know if she is a keeper. I have nothing for her, an idea or story or anything. I just liked the name XD The rest are a slow slow slow process of I should get those MKB out of the vault.

Sigh, I'm considering changing one of my pets (Indifference) somewhat, because I'm feeling inspired by this song, but then I'm thinking maybe there could be a better name for such a character, in which case it might be better to make a new pet instead... but do I really want to make another pet yet >_>

What I told myself I'd get done this week: Hesper's story. What I got done: nothing. Typical!

Do you know that feeling when you are in a new fandom and get so excited you adop each pet name you see available of your favorite characters while you have enough pets already you should be working on but no energy (and no time haha).

I finally actually have a pet done and nominated for pet spotlight.

Though, to be honest, I had the pet done years ago. I just had to change a few things to make her eligible for winning the pet spotlight.

- Ooh, congrats on finally completing the pet. What spurred you to finish it? I know sometimes a little spark can finally motivate me finish one.

To be honest, I think it's because I got off alcohol and on the right medication. I'm already writing stories for my other pets plus doing a load of stuff in real life. I haven't ever been this productive in my entire adult life! (Probably in my entire life in general.)

I kinda stopped posting here, mostly because I got so lazy with my pets except buying TC items >u>;

Is there anyone with custom pet overlay? I'd like to know how long it takes for them to get approved, I've submitted mine for Kayi few days ago and still nothing ;;

Finally working on profiles! And of course I had to start a new pet project. Trying to put together a Seven Deadly Sins themed group. So far I have Sloth (Indolent), Gluttony (Omnivore), Wrath (Conflict), and Greed (Wanting). Just need to think of names for Lust, Envy, and Pride! Also need to figure out what to do with Quillard.

Oh god, I know that feeling. It's why I have so many fan pets. XD

And lol, I just posted a tl;dr post about my pets in another thread here. Kinda funny how I can write a lot about them, yet I struggle to actually put anything on their profile.

I know the feeling! XD I can go on forever about my pets, but writing it down is another thing.
