I had a busy morning, yay! I worked a bit on my pet, Strawberry Delight. Touched up her story, added more stuff to her TC. Then I wanted her to get a promotion in her job, so I went crazy with reading books to her, but oh not any book, only stuff with flowers and things that would make sense for her, so I pretty much went broke with my Vesnali coins. She got a few promotions today, but she needs 25 more books for the next one, and I don't know what else to read to her to keep the theme. I kinda like her current job title, so I'm wondering if it's even worth it; is there a full list of job titles somewhere, or does anyone here have a pet at Seedlings? Gosh I don't know how come I always get wound up in these details haha.

I still need a profile for her, and I have an idea on what to do, I just need to get around to make the graphics and then code it ^_^

today was a big, non-lazy day on my end. i finally found the ideal color/species combo for the pet i was zapping:

then i immediately turned around and started zapping a different pet, whom i am about to rename, because i decided i wanted him to be the experiment 0507 in the family. major character shuffling over here. not a cheap endeavor.

right? i'm surprised it took me as long as it did to think about nostalgic, but it works so well for his character.

my pet kaspar is up next on the zapping block, and he might be in there for a while. maybe i'll get lucky and get a couple more pet color achievements out of it while i wait.

I think I skip over Nostalgic as a color more than I should, because my brain goes nostalgic = luminaire = christmas!pet - until I actually look at some of the pets and they're not christmas-y at all, my brain's just being dumb 😆 I'm sure Kaspar will have fun with the zapper :P And I'm sure you'll be able to cross a few more color achievements off the list. Win win!

I think I'll be doing some research for my fanpet's treasure today. Which basically just means I'll be slacking off, watching Agatha Christie's Poirot. x)

I thought it was such a good idea to have a few key items from each case, but it's proving one hell of a task. And watching the series is faster than rereading the books, which suits me better right now.

I did grab the Seedlings books, but I haven't read them all yet. I will as soon as I cave in and go for the next intel tier for her job.

Also, I changed her into a Glade Chai. Dawn suited her well, but I loved the idea of having flowers all around her, and the Glade Chai is adorable, so I just potioned her as soon as Peka Glade opened yesterday (I had a pitcher lying around since forever).

I am actually very excited for new Nostalgic species this December, I still have two pets that I have no idea what to color them. No wait, actually I want to see a Nostalgic Noktoa; though Scribble already seems like a pretty obvious choice for my pet Bookshelf, haha. Since you guys were talking, maybe I should pick up zapping again, maybe it sparks some ideas for my blank pets, hmm.

new pets are the best part of any holiday, usually. I hope they bring out something that strikes your fancy. :) ohh scribble noktoa would be perfect for Bookshelf. I love scribble pets; I'm constantly eyeing mine and trying to find a justification for turning them all into cute little squiggles. qq I think zapping can definitely help with inspiration, and you can even get some pretty neat color combos, in between all the darkonites and swampies. :P

Yup, it would work perfectly for him, especially since they may not go for a wise owl toy for nostalgic, since they already did that with scribble. We might see a patchwork owl toy then hehe. Zapping could also help net me some of the pet color achievements, though I don't want to think about that right now, seeing how broken the achievement page is...

Athough I think it would be great if all my pet overlays matched stylistically, it depends on the pets/design for me. I definitely can't envision some of my pets in any other style except Subeta's, but for the ones that don't match an existing pet too closely, I don't care as much. I've gotten Subeta-style overlays of Acid and Ivy before and I never liked the pieces as much as Adam's or Jag's, who drew them in their natural style.

I totally hear you on the profiles! It took me a very, very, long time to understand anything about coding (I've only started to make a little sense of it in the past year) and I have one character that I have TOO MANY profile ideas for and most of the others are just getting a personalized template profile that I made for the time being because I can't decide on anything more fitting for them. u__u

I find it's better to keep extra slots empty rather than getting a pet you're semi-attached to but have no clue what to do with. So when inspiration strikes you can get the pet you want. ^^
