I've just finished reading both Lightning and Watchers. I can say I liked Lightning, it was an enjoyable read. I didn't care for watchers, just not my cup of tea. A few other people have suggested The Bad Place and Velocity, so I'm going to try those and after maybe Shadows. Thanks for suggesting the other two.
