Omg how did I miss this message....I'm so sorry, I don't have dementia. Ageing is so unfair when the brain doesn't keep up. I'm sorry your going through this, it's so hard to make them understand whilst your trying to maintain their dignity and independence. A walk in shower would be awesome. We have one in a guest house on our block. It has come in handy over the years with us and family recovering from surgeries.

That sounds like Alzheimers. My father did little things like that. Seemed sharper some days than others. It was awful to watch. I feel for you guys going through this, it's so cruel to the individual. What is he like around household electrical appliances? In terms of fire risk. Mother in law is aware to check these things? Does he wander from the home?
