Yeah, it had become so unsafe. Several groups of pretty bad folks had moved in over the past few years or so. Most of the units in that building are one and two bedrooms but they would have as many as ten+ folks in some of these units. They'd party all night, inside and outside. They'd fight up and down the halls taking over whole floors with bloodletting chaos, pull the fire alarm, leave garbage strewn down the halls, break windows, repeatedly destroy the locks on both the front and back doors and fire guns at each other outside the building. Someone was actually murdered in the alley out back a couple of years ago. Police were there on a regular basis pulling folks out who had warrants. I cannot tell you how terrifying that place had become. So glad to finally be able to walk away. ;o; I'm looking forward to a better year ahead; physically, mentally and spiritually. I hope the year ahead holds lots of promise for you too!

The most gluttonous of noms. After finally reaching the last tier for gourmand i'm going to keep on going in case any new tiers pop up. As for my holiday, i'm content about it :D Got my Christmas wish for a new apartment in a safer neighborhood. This one also has heat, so no more suffering through another brutally cold winter!
