Been trying to get out of that dump for years. Drugs, violence, prostitution, vandalism, theft, biohazards, it was unreal. I feel human again ;__; . I hope you're doing ok in life. And if things aren't so hot, I hope they improve. <3

The past couple of years have been abysmal but things are slowly starting to look better. Finally got out of that hellhole I was living in, so yay :D. Though I worry about the future, like pretty much everyone else below the middle class, given how rents and general cost of living across the country are rising at frighteningly unsustainable rates. Though honestly, any middle class who aren't yet retirement age should be preparing as best they can too since they're only a single medical disaster away from complete ruin and poverty while thinking credit cards are going to save them.

Yeah, it had become so unsafe. Several groups of pretty bad folks had moved in over the past few years or so. Most of the units in that building are one and two bedrooms but they would have as many as ten+ folks in some of these units. They'd party all night, inside and outside. They'd fight up and down the halls taking over whole floors with bloodletting chaos, pull the fire alarm, leave garbage strewn down the halls, break windows, repeatedly destroy the locks on both the front and back doors and fire guns at each other outside the building. Someone was actually murdered in the alley out back a couple of years ago. Police were there on a regular basis pulling folks out who had warrants. I cannot tell you how terrifying that place had become. So glad to finally be able to walk away. ;o; I'm looking forward to a better year ahead; physically, mentally and spiritually. I hope the year ahead holds lots of promise for you too!
