The 6th Anniversary of the Great Pandemic tragedy begins today, a festival commonly known as ‘Survival’ by the citizens of Subeta. You may wish to join the celebration or pay your respects to those that left us in years past. Citizens are reminded that Shadowglen is off-limits for the duration of the Survival Celebration -- The Unliving have their own rituals and do not appreciate intrusion from outsiders. They do, however, welcome fledgling zombies into their community, and whilst there has been a lull population growth for the last two years, we have a certain…dare I say exceedingly handsome? young entrepreneur who may have the solution to this problem. I spoke Mr. Gunner Knight earlier today, and he had this to say about the situation.





Exciting developments from Shadowglen, indeed! In other news, the eccentric ‘Skitters’ is back in business with his seasonal shop of gifts for the unliving. He had this to say to me when I interviewed him earlier:

Retirement Notice: The Vanity lines Begin, Conflate, Core, Decency, Ease, Hayseed, Inure, Mend, Opulent, and Trust will retire on February 19th. Make sure to grab any pieces you might need by then!

Wizard Quests is the weekend quest! Do those quests for increased prizes and special rewards!

Reischen has retooled the retooled Battle Quests, listening to the feedback from the community and making a few changes.

1. You now get EXP at the end of every fight! You still get more exp during the "boss" fights of level 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30.
2. You can skip one opponent per day, or two if you have a Gold Account.
3. You can launch yourself straight to level 15, skipping the first 14 levels but also all of the prizes that come with it. This will be a gold account feature in a month, but is available to everyone now.

Also after launching yesterday some things were fixed, including battle tokens and item prizes being rewarded again!

Hey everyone! We're currently investigating a major hack involving user shops that includes duplicating items. Once the user shops are back up we'll enable a 25% sP buff to quests for the next few days, I know some of you haven't done yours yet today!

Update: We're back! User shops have been turned back on and the bug has been patched. Nothing expensive was duplicated, and the user in question has been banned. All users quests have been reset and you have today and tomorrow with the buff :)!

A large BOOM dissipates throughout the Darkside. It appears that a building has been turned to dust! The original zappper, oh no!



Uh, whoops! Sorry guys, that’s my bad. Oh but hey, my experiment worked! Look at me, I’m all rejuvenated. Nothing like a bit of mad science to keep your body trim. Huh. I guess I used a bit too much energy though and destroyed the competition. Who would have foreseen such a completely accidental happenstance. cough Oh well, it’s not like that other guy…clawsion…terracoon? was really much use to anyone. Done you all a favor, really. It’s ok, he didn’t get caught in the blast! I totally saw him running away, probably gone to live in Riverside with the swampies. He did love those swampies.

Moving on, my zapper is much better anyway! The one TRUE zapper. Come visit it, I even upgraded it to have something I think is pretty fly if you like experiments as much as me. The EXPERIMENTS ONLY option! For just a small fee, that I will totally use to fund the making of MORE experiments, you can ensure that your zap is not wasted on lame /normal/ pets or stat gains or stuff like that. Experiments all the way! EXPERIMENTS FOREVER!



Oh, except I have these two duds for you today. I mean, some people told me they were super adorable or something but where is the fun in that? If you want super adorable there are plenty of normal subeta pets for that. I should be creating cool things that are oozing and dripping and have tentacles. I was going to call these failures and move on but I guess they can stay, if you people really do like abominations like these. Cute. Bleh.
