Subeku Points

The javascript for Subeku was updated recently and it caused anyone who continued to play in the same tab to not be awarded for their wins. This was entirely my fault, so today only everyone can get a few free Subeku points (that will count toward both the regular and bonus points) in compensation.

Featured Game: Subeku!

Hello again, EPICon fans!

I hope that everyone is having a fabulous time! Are you starting to get the hang of the current featured game? Well, you can still play it to earn some extra EPICon points, but I think you might be distracted by our all new featured game, Subeku! That's right, you will be testing your traditional gaming skills again with this classic logic puzzle. You can earn up to 10 EPICon points for trying your very best, and an additional 10 for winning!

What's that, you say? This seems like an early announcement? Well, I suppose it is! The convention staff want to give everyone as much time as possible to earn points on our featured games, and so we have decided to run featured games for a full 24 hours. In addition, Subeku will remain our featured game for the entire weekend, so be sure to rake in those bonus points!

Convention goers that are interested in entering this year's Cosplay Contest are reminded that there is now officially one week left to enter your costume. Whether you are just putting a costume together or putting the final touches on your perfect cosplay, there is still plenty of time to submit your entry.

Wow, so apparently a PHP function that is used in the building of the game board works totally differently on our dev server and our production servers... It's fixed now, though!

Stealth Bomber Glitch!

There is a bug affecting some games of Stealth Bomber where an extra card is discarded when a player makes a pair. I'm currently reworking how this happens to prevent it, but for right now I've added in a temporary bandaid "fix" that allows you to check your game for problems and will refund your entry fee if it's glitched. It's below the forfeit option.

Again, this is just temporary until the actual fix is complete and rolled out (which will require you to start a new game anyway, so you may as well use it!), which should be within the next few hours.

Game of the Day: Stealth Bomber!



Hello again, EPICon fans!

Now, I'm sure you've all heard about the unfortunate conflict that complicated things at the last EPICon. It seems like those two boys have been able to forgive and forget, but the EPICon staff still isn't excited to be the venue for another rumble this year.

Still, there's nothing wrong with a bit of healthy competition, is there? And competitions are best when winning gets you fabulous prizes! That's why we have decided to feature a different game for each day of the convention, and give you a chance to win EPICon Prize Points. These points will be able to be used at the end of the convention in our exclusive prize shop!

The featured game today is a blast from the past, the card game Stealth Bomber! While more popular on Atebus, I am sure you Subetans can still kick some serious butt! You can earn up to 10 points for trying your very best at this old-school game. Additionally, if you manage to win, you can earn an additional 10 bonus points!

There was a bit in the scoring that we couldn't fully test ahead of release, which, wouldn't you know it, had an error in it. Don't worry, though, games finished before that was patched will still count toward your EPICon points!

Token Shop: Puzzle Sticker 1!



Yay, it's finally back! I've handmade 6 special stickers to commemorate Epicon, and will be releasing them over the course of the event in the Token Shop.

At the end, there will be a special prize for anyone who has all 6 in their sticker collection! Get stickin'.

Can you believe that there is still more!? We are also pleased to announce the start of our eagerly anticipated cosplay contest! Get your best costume together and wow your fellow fans for a top spot in this exciting contest of creativity. Just make sure to get your (surely awesome) submissions in by Friday, July 26!

Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open for new and exciting activities over the coming days! For your convenience, convention volunteers can be found walking the floor, as well as at the customer service desk in the main atrium.
