My biology teacher once had a large canned turkey, they can was huuuge. It was from when he was a kid and his mom would always joke that she'd fix it for them if they didn't behave. He brought it in to class to show off once, at the same time as the canned food drive for the food shelter. And he forgot it there. And it got donated. Some shelter tried to serve a 30+ year old canned turkey!

It's just pressure cooked or boiled chicken which happens to have been placed in a large can. Cooled broth is just going to look like that; it's gelatinized. My grandmother liked to use them to make dumplings since it has already been cooked. Easier than her boiling a chicken.

Haven't had this: http://gizmodo.com/351304/cheeseburger-in-a-can-reviewed but it looks worse to me, what with the soggy looking bun and all. How about a yummy Bovyne burger in a can next? Or, maybe that scrambled brains and gravy?
