Due to a few users buying up low rarity items from user shops, and trying to sell them off for tons and tons more in the trades - you can now see the rarity of all items while trading :)

PLEASE make sure to check the rarity, and value of items before you accept a trade (or bid on a pretty item!) from someone who might be trying to trick you :(

I don't really understand what's wrong with that... I always thought part of the GAME was buying, selling, and trading and hoping to make a profit.

One of the great things about the Recycle Beast is the fact that you can hoard loads of cheap items WHILE they're cheap (without going bankrupt), and then resell them for sometimes 10x what you paid, when the Recycle Beast requests them.

I think that putting the rarity up there is a good idea on Subeta's part, because it's helpful for new gamers... ...But those of you who are calling people who buy cheap, low rarity objects (to resell them for a higher profit) "immoral" are REALLY out of line. Part of the game is (JUST LIKE COLLECTING IN REAL LIFE) trying to invest in items that you think will gain value... and selling them when they're at their peak.

If you've traded rare items for low-rarity ones or bought common items while they were at their peak price-wise, then its really just a poor judgement call on your part. So why not just strive to be a better, smarter player from now on, rather than cry about how mean or "immoral" other players are, just because they made financially smarter decisions than you did?

Diana, you're so right! I had a nice bunch of rare and super rare items on the side for SS, that had gradually made it into a fairly acceptable price range again - now, that I want to give them away, they're worth nothing!!! 10 - 50 k, while they were 90 - 250 only a couple of days before! I wonder, what all those people think, who make a senseless 30 - 50 k downjump in the shops or who thoughtlessly autoprice their UB wares - someone makes a typing error, leaves out a digit and everybody else falls in line without checking. But as I said before - still leaves me wondering, how so many "rare" items can pop up in the shops in such a short time, while, at the same time (esp., when they are so cheap) they are being used up in quests, too.

This is silly, rarity does not play into most of the items on this site. All your going to do is fill the trade center with worthless rare's that no one is going to buy.
By the way, since were all talking about punishment.
Maybe the undercutter's should be punished also. I can't say how many points I've lost out on in less than 24 hours because of this atrocious behavior.
Maybe two birds in the bush is better than one bird in your hand. Seems to be the theme when the site caters to a select few users that couldn't be bother to ask questions before trading.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

BoaConstrictor, I've had the same thing happen to me. I'll buy something in the main shops that's new and still priced around, let's say 85k in user shops.
LITERALLY the NEXT morning when I come on, there will be a DELIBERATE drop from say:

user shop name - item name - 70k
user shop name - item name - 20k
user shop name - item name - 900sP

THAT'S what's wrong TOO.
So I understand.

... Plus, if you would be in dire need of such a low rarity item only selling in trades for whatever reason (wearable, new combination, just bought up...) you would still buy it. I always check the rarity of items I sell, buy or am offered. But this of course helps speeding the process.

Rarity is somehow completely off at the time, anyhow. How can it be that rares and super rares are flooding the usershops while everything else just vanishes? The computers seem to be totally failing at calculating the amount of rares on the site. I've been monitoring one of my items in my shop for 3 days. It was 3rd next in the useshops of a total of 4 and today it is behind 32!!!! Now, how rare can that be??!!

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I have a question:
Is it wrong to buy up several items that have been priced from 15k undercut to 500k (I don't look at rarity) and sell them for what most other people have them at?
If I see a few items completely undercut, I'll buy them up and sell them for what the majority is selling them for.

This is a great idea. Someone bid an inflated Keets on one of my trades last month, luckily I pay attention to rarity anyway and was not fooled. I hope the people who are intentionally trying to fool other users by hoarding low rarity items and inflating the price are disciplined.

great idea only problem i see if it is say a rarity 50 item, and there are very few on site,it should be worth more then say a r 99 item that is flooded on the site..also i hope they fix the gardens in veta lake ..

I love this idea! Most of the time, about 90%, when I put an item in trades I'll mention the rarity of the item. This will make it easier. Thanks Keith chases and tackle hugs

The only issue I see is with free gifts/trivia/war prizes all having the same rarity. Maybe each should have a certain rarity like the DPs do? I know vouchers are 102 (I think). Maybe free gifts 0, trivia 125? Something like that. And a list ON SITE (similar to the one on SubetaHA) that list these?

um so does that mean some of the r97-r99s might actually be worth more than say some item under r50 =/........btw......."Thanks Keith, this will help this site from turning into that other place!!".......neo has always shown the Rarities up on the TP =/

Thanks Keith, it's great to see the site trying to stay on top of the scammers. HOWEVER, speaking of trades, any idea how much longer we IE users will have to wait? It's been long enough, we need our trades working soon if we're going to be buying those special people on our lists Christmas gifts. It's getting to be crunch time!

I wonder if it will really serve it's purpose tough, but at lest your are trying... and thats what count at this point.

I mean any person who know the market know that new items have low rarity and are sold for more then they should... but also, Free Gift and Other special stuff have the same rarity so it don't give an idea for those items... But I guess the idea was mainly for the rsable items...

Also,. I've always tough that if a buyer overpay it's their own fault for not trying to know as much as possible of that item before, but I agree that now many sellers are mean and trick people on getting their low rarity item for hight rarity ones these days.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Yes they could search the rarity on their own but before this kind of deception a user could just search shops to see if an item might be worth less than what someone asks in trades. This way if it's low rarity hopefully they'll just try to rs it themselves. It's really disappointing that some users would even try this.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Thank you!!! This will be uber helpful. <3

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

o_o not that i dont think this is a great idea and all, but anyone could have checked the rarity of something before buying it.. XD through the search > item > item name > tada ! ~ or using a search engine (like subetahq) lazybutts<3

i think this is great ... of course rarity doesn't always account for the value of an item, but it will help and in the case of newer items, this will be especially handy

Some r99s are buyable lighthawk, it just depends on the demand of the item. Some lower rarity items will sell for more because the demand is high.
