How could the answer have been "buck day"? It said, "the first day of....". The first day of buck day?

I'm sorry, but your answer of deer season for the trivia was incorrect. - whoops.
I even thought, "what if she wants something specific, like 'buck'" but then I found stuff that mentioned does as well, so I kinda went /shrug. -- I'm kinda dumb, because I have no clue on the new question.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I just have to voice my opinion and say I am a little disappointed in the incorrectness of the answer of Buck Season. The season is two weeks and is open to both buck and doe. It has been this way for several years now. Previously yes it was just Buck season. But its been an easy 5 years since they changed it. I know, I've spent the last two days chasing deer, buck and doe alike! LOL Okay I just wanted to voice my opinion.

Living in PA for over 30 years, it is "Buck Day". Problem has been in issues like this, not researching multiple answers.

And BoysenBERRY, why do any of those things matter? I didn't celebrate thanksgiving, I don't hunt, I've never seen a deer, and I don't live in Pennsylvania, nor can I spell it without a spellchecker (we are on computers, you know ). I still got it right, why would any of those things inhibit me from getting the answer?

She can't give prizes to anyone else, people. It's a script, and once she starts the trivia, that's it. She can't change the answer, change who gets what, see who put what, etc. What's done is done. Debilee already said that despite enough of them being won, she's reusing the prize, what more do you want?

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Be specific? "Deer season" is more specific than "hunting season".

I checked several PA news sites and verified the answer on a couple of school websites that turned up in my search before answering. All of the sites I looked at said that that school was out for the first day of "deer season". Not one said "buck season". When local Pennsylvania news and school websites consistently give the same answer to a question about Pennsylvania schools, why should anyone assume that they are all wrong?

In cases like this, DebiLee just needs to admit that the trivia question has more than one correct answer and award prizes to people who gave the other correct answer.

Would you guys stop whining. it made alot of Sense.

Point 1. It said "Be Specific. A Deer. More specific, a Buck.

Point 2. It was worded like this.... "the first day of..." ...now i found a school site in pennsylvania that said "No school Buck Day" But does.. "the first day of Buck day" make alot of sense? No that is gramatically incorrent. Therefore "the first day of... Buck Season" makes alot more sense. Its specific, a "season" is an extended period of time, whileas a "day" just just simply, a day.

Buck season.

thanks =]

I'd like to take this time to say that yesterday was the first day of shotgun season for deer... It's been bow season before now... So technically, shotgun season started yesterday... And bucks are attainable in either season, but now's when they're out and about more due to the rut...

I really, REALLY wanted that calf... hopes the next question it's offered on is one she can get

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

i put cyber monday because that was the only thing i could find on google i would have never geused that and how is hunting a holiday? ok im just a talking kitty you can move on if you wantXD

I have 2 cents. I will now share them with you.

First of all, Debilee stated in an earlier comment that because of all the valid questions brought up about the answer to this particular trivia question that she WILL be offering this trivia prize again very soon, so those of us (me included) who feel they should have gotten the right answer but did not can try again to get the prize.

Second of all, this specific trivia answer aside, I think it's humorous how many people have been so convinced that they got "the correct" answer simply because it's the most widely found phrase on the internet. ON THE INTERNET. Did you know... that a large amount of information available on the internet is not 100% accurate? It's true! Really. In fact, I would encourage not only users, but whoever submits the trivias as well, to look at information more reliable than just what's on the internet in the future when determining the correct answers to trivia questions.

I will now climb down off my soapbox, and thank you very much to anyone who read my speech.

Yes it is a technicality, but that is the point. If you hunt deer, you have prolly been hunting them since at least October in most of the country. So a Buck permit would only pertain to certain days. I got it wrong too - only two people saw Bear??

Well, Deer season would be correct now wouldn't it, since you can hunt BOTH buck and doe starting yesterday. It's not technically the first day of buck season anymore because you can shoot buck during archery season as well. You don't get buck permits either, you get a hunting license, and you send for doe tags. And of course Bear season came in last week for 3 days and then again this first week of deer season in certain area's of PA.

I am pretty fluent when it comes to hunting, my fiance has been hunting all his life so i know it well.

lolz. I'm glad I'm not the only one who answered deer season. How funny, I had a feeling all along that this was going to be ONE OF THOSE TRIVIAS. It's especially frustrating that the answer was SO CLOSE to the one I had. But it's even more frustrating that that was in fact the correct version of the answer and that the answer we were supposed to put was an outdated, incorrect answer.
