I think the 100K for 10 points is fair. I also think the once a day limit is fair. Everyone wants everything right now and for free, that's just not reasonable. I like the fact that recycle beast items take a long time to get, makes for a greater sense of accomplishment and gives something to work toward. Though, I would really appreciate it if the smelter actually worked

I calculated how much things cost based on that conversion and was scared. O.O I'll take my chances with stocking up on cheapo items. However, I must get that beautiful new icey wolf minion somehow. It calls to me!

I don't see why people are complaining. 100k is nothing...and for 10 points, thats only 10k per point o_O. I mean, I personally think it should be 1M per 100...but that is impracticle. this is very well thought through, and for it's price is amazing.
Unless one of those expensive items is going to hustle their behinds into making me some points, they will rot with the other recyclables. Yes, they are pretty but not worth my effort since I don't really battle. I've been on here what 6 months and have made 16 million. I don't think it's going to total 40 anytime soon.

What if you got 50 points for 100K. Then that would make the Ametsuchi worth 80 mill. I think that sounds a little more reasonable to me. I love the idea though, it gives you another option to gain points.

I think you're all trying to be too critical. The whole point of the RB is to be freakishly pricey. I myself am in no position to obtain pretty much any of the items at this point in time, so I'm just like the average person on here. The 100K for 10-point thing shouldn't be used as the only method to collect points; it’s a SUPPLIMENT to be used in conjunction with bring in items. It’s meant to be easy, not efficient. One main purpose of the recycle beast is to increase the price of items. If the points were easier to obtain through the smelter then the whole recycling part of the deal would be by-passed. He’d be the smelter beast, not the recycle beast. Besides, really it’s cheap as it is. To buy ten points worth of items would cost well over 100,000 (unless you were restocking). The real way to succeed with the RB is to restock, find the store that restocks the item in question and just sit there all day. The RB is supposed to make you want to rip your hair out.

wow 100k for just 10 points, I think the points needs to be increased a bit for 100k per day. I'd rather spend 100k on something else. If the Ametsuchi goes for millions (more than the other leg weapons) then It wont be something I will be getting from trades either. I don't have 400mill anyhow LOL and never will
How about 100 points for 100k, once every 12 hours instead of 24, and adjust the costs of some of the items? Perhaps make Ametsuchi 60,000 instead of 40,000, thus the same as the Legends in the MC? Even with the current sP smelter, the Recycle Beast items are mind-bogglingly expensive and very time-consuming. The little 100 point moose (?) plushie is going to be 1,000,000 sP and take over a week to get. Ametsuchi will take more then ten years to obtain if you check the shop every single day. Although it's a good idea, I still think it needs some tweaks and some careful inspection before it ends up being something people actually use. x.x

Honestly, I don't think it's that the conversion rate is too low, it's that the price of the items in recycle points is too high. 10 points for 100k is the cheapest way of getting points (compared to buying in user shops, or compared to the opportunity cost of recycling items you restock instead of selling them).
However, 400 million sP and 4000 days (that's 10 years) to get Ametsuchi is totally absurd. 40,000 points is far too much: 4,000 would be much more reasonable (and would still leave them costing 40 million and taking over a year to get if you did it all with the smelter). The prices of the dresses and minions in terms of recycle points is also, IMHO, excessive.
I agree with Oberon completely, I don't think it could've been said better.
Although I think the price is high, I can't help but thinking that this will limit price inflation on items that the recycle beasts asks for. I mean, why pay 15k for a red ball when you can get points for a 10k average? It is an excellent idea. Bravo!

I'd love to get them and the Ametsuchi, but I think hoarding cheap stuff and hoping the Recycle Beast will ask for it is still the way to go. Maybe if I needed a few extra points to get myself over the top, I might use the smelter a few times, but I wouldn't try to use it to get all my points. That would take forever and cost way too much o.o
huh... 100,000 sp for 10 pts is quite a bit. tho, if you were to buy items for the points (after inflation) the cheapest ones are between 10-20k usually. personally, I think 50,000sp for 10 points would be something i'd think about spending once i got closer to my goals.
I'm with a majority of the people here, I like the idea, but 100k for only 10 seems like such a rip.
The avarice, balrog, and icekiss are all only 60 mill. Where with just the smelter the ametsuichi would cost 400 mill that's a 340 mill difference. Even the riptide has the potential to be cheaper, since in theroy you could get it with just two wizard tokens. And if you want a status symbol of time effort and sp, then go for the lucent. And the eternal is only $30. In my mind nothing justifys the ametsuichi costing 400 mill.
In conclusion

First you have to work out how many 10's go into 40,000 the answer is 4000.
So this whole thing would take 4000 days
You times 4000 x 100,000 = 40mil
Times the number of days it would take if that makes anymore sense to you.
I think that as beautiful as the minions are, they are simply priced far too high for anyone to be able to purchase. I could easily get other minions that are just as gorgeous for a lot less time and sP.
The Smelter is a nice idea, but the exchange rate is atrocious! I could see if you got 20 recycle points for 100k, but only 10? That's 10k a point! At that rate, the minions run you 30 million sP...not to mention it takes you months to earn them!
I agree. This made me want to actually try for the Ametsuchi rather than sell the items he wants. Guess it is MAJOR slots time for me
Some people may not be happy with this idea, but I love it! I think I finally have a chance to get some of those really expensive items that have been on my wishlist for a while! Prices were insane on items- I remember selling a few Vanilla Taffys when the RB was asking for them at something like 80k each. You can restock them for under 100sP (which is what I did). Even if prices on RB items aren't as high as before, and I don't make as much sP, I'll be glad on the other hand, to have a chance at buying RB items myself for once!

lol sure the Ametsuchi may cost 400 mil based on the smelter. But realize it will take you 4,000 days to get it from that alone. So if someone wants to get Ametsuchi in their lifetime, it is worth more than that xP

The token shop item only costs about 18 mil, if you count 6 * 1k tokens at around 3 mil each. The MC weapons are at 60 mil, so 40 mil would be in between that. -shrugs, I just thought that would be a fairer rate-
100 points for 100k sounds drastically high. That would set the Ametsuchi at 40 million, which isn't that high for a Legend. I'm just happy that we actually have this option, whether it be 10 points or anything. At least we can buy them However, in a perfect world, it would maybe be 15-25 points per 100k. At 25 points, an Ametsuchi would cost 100 million, which isn't that much of a stretch for a Legend. Not that I'm complaining -smiley faces-
