Mauve has opened the wardrobe layer service.

This allows you to change the order in which your human avatar has it's clothes on. Good for making sure things are in the right order, and go on top of the right things.

Usually, the default order is all you need, but if you have a special outfit that needs a little help, this tool will be perfect!

Note: This is still just a testing tool, for the avatars. If you have any problems, things not showing up, etc, please send mail directly to me, and I will try to have it fixed ASAP! Thank you :)

would it be possible to add a help file to the layer system? It's a good idea, but veryr fiddly. My underwear keeps showing through my skirt!

Btw, I like the new system. My grey kitty handbag strap is actually OVER my clothes instead of UNDER them. ^^

I don't like the new system. Right now some of my clothes I can't wear because the default bra and underwear always end up on top of what I wear. And I don't get the new sytem. I can't switch it for some reason.

Bleh... I used to think dressing my avatar was entirely too much nuisance but now I yearn for the old non-layering non-system approach to dressing. Trial and chance offered much better odds. Thanks to the NEW system I walked around in my underwear all day. Made some new friends, though.

Bah even when I have the layers in the right order its still not working and where did the reset button vanish off to?! Oy this isnt nice. I liked how it was before this came along cause I didnt have to learn which is what and goes on first and goes on next and.. bah

The 'new' version doesn't keep the order you set (rather like the pet order page).

This feature is confusing and fustrating. -.-' A reset button would nice cuz I keep messing up. Nice idea though. ^^ Now if I could only get it right...

It's a very difficult program to use. You change one thing everything changes, the whole drag and drop premise isn't working, every time i drag something the others slip and reorganize themselves. Its good in theory, but in practice its more trouble than its worth. Depth buttons might work better in the actual wardrobe area.. as in you put a piece of clothing on.. then adjust depth higher or lower to get it layered properly. Once its where you want it on the body.. then you have a "save" option to keep it there. Just a thought.

I don't like it ... lots of room for error - i don't like the idea of having to adjust the layering each time I change the clothing on my avatar - WAY to fussy (for me anyway)

It was working perfectly for me last night, but today all of the sudden nothing will layer properly. Hats and horns show up behind my avatar, no matter what I try. The default bra shows up over shirts, no matter what I try. Shirts tuck under pants/skirts, and pants tuck into shoes, no matter what I try.

This is so frustrating.

Why not just have it so that when you click on an item, it layers over what you had on previously? That seems like it would be so much easier to program, and a lot easier for users to understand. It would also allow users to wear more than one face item at a time, for example.

looks like im not the only one with issues over hats and the underwear. I havent even tried to figure out this new layering thing and its screwing with my avvie cries i know there are still kinks to work out so keep with it staff : )

I deleted my avvie to try the new hair styles--decided what I liked best, and now can't get ANY headgear to appear over my hair. This is NOT working. tries again

Yeeeah this is really confusing. If there was some way to drag and drop the clothing your wearing atop one another that'd be managable, but I can't figure out the little tabs and now my goggles keep hiding behind my hair.

It seems I'm not the only one having problems with hair. My hair will not appear in the background no matter what order I choose. Its always in front of my costume's hood, my horns, my mask...And what's this layer 0 about?

Ughh. before, before i deleted my avvie.. my valentines dress would go over my Full Body Tobias Costume and now it wont. and my hair is going over all the hats T_T

I utterly confused. My puffy hats now do not even show up. Please fix it because I liked the way my avatar was before. when I logged on the clothing was stripped of my avatar and now none of my puffy hats show up.

ugh, everything is messed up. things were working fine for me before this was added.the only problem I had before this was; the snowflaik costume had the bra on top, and belts wouldn't go on top of skirts. but now with the normal settings, nothing works. mainly hair stuff/ jackets/ etc. its all just too confusing. everytime I try to change something, it gets messed up.

Hmmm... my mardi gras masks won't show up, either. Or if they do, which I can't seem to get the to do anymore, they are partially covered by my hair, as are my wings.

when i put the drees on it still shows the bra nad undies and when i put on a belt and boxer shorts only the belt shows up. please fix this problem!!!!

Hate to complain about some of the glitches, but now I don't have an option for my hat.
And it seems that listing the clothing might be easier than body parts because with some clothing oyu have no idea where it goes. ^^:
I like it though, nice idea.

Hats, bows, and anything worn on the head or hair no longer function. They should up beneath the hair instead of on top.

Waaah now i can't see my hats!! This is terrible! I managed to fix everything else again after the new update but my hats aren't showing up at all!! T_T I don't think this is working, as great an idea as it is i think the site was much, much, much better without it....no hassle that way.....my favourite part of the site after all is collecting outfits!!

I think it's a glitch that my hair is showing up OVER my mummy mask, but I really like that glitch. It looks much better than way! Please don'y fix it. hehe.... In fact, you should make it so that hair is permanently on a seperate layer so that we can pull it up over our wings etc.

I agree - knowing what is part of what layer would really help. Like, before I deleted my avatar to accomodate the new hairstyle I managed to trick my hazel morning bell sleeve into layering above the sleeves of my snowy white medieval dress, but now they're stuck awkwardly below. I tried to make arms layer last, but that didn't seem to help. Augh!

Still not Helping. Maybe it would be better to list the Clothing (Like Hat, Shoes, pants, Jacket, etc.) rather than the body parts (waist, head, etc.)

This is awesome, a few kinks but awesome... Could there be an option for Wings to go at the VERY back so they don't go infront of the hair? Thats my one trouble with it all, the rest I don't mind...

Yeah, that socks/shoes thing doesn't work here either.

Drag and drop layering would be a better idea, but that'd probably take a lot more work (drag clothing over to the avatar and layer it that way, I mean).

I can get socks to work OR shoes but socks with shoes doesn't. Last night I could put arm warmers on my avatar with a Messenger Bag and both showed up. Now I can use one or the other but not both.

I suggest a reset button. I can't get my shoes to go underneath my pants, no matter what I move, and necklaces won't go on top of shirts unless I put them at the very top.

Default underwear is getting in the way of everything, too.
