Mauve has opened the wardrobe layer service.

This allows you to change the order in which your human avatar has it's clothes on. Good for making sure things are in the right order, and go on top of the right things.

Usually, the default order is all you need, but if you have a special outfit that needs a little help, this tool will be perfect!

Note: This is still just a testing tool, for the avatars. If you have any problems, things not showing up, etc, please send mail directly to me, and I will try to have it fixed ASAP! Thank you :)

Once the order page updates, the update button doesn't work, I have to reload the page.

I have 0 where Feet used to be.

Underwear shows up over all clothes.

Wings kept showing up over the cloak, until I set back lower than overchest, body and chest.

And Mauve is a little large . The 'order' is really confusing. Maybe if you put some text to the side toplayer (nothing over this) / bottom layer (everything over this) it would help? Great idea though I hope you get it working! I've always wanted this option on Gaia.

Well, unless they do a "no peeking" curtain, we'd have a lot of exhibitionists running around naked--they try as hard as they can to do this now.

I had no trouble using this and for once my Angelic toga is wearable without the bra showing. I love it!!

I'm having the "0" layer problem, too. My neck layer is missing, and none of my neckwear will show up on my avatar.

Just a suggestion, but it seems like the underwear is causing the most problems.
Wouldn't it be better just to remove all the underwear from the avatars?
The avatars will be wearing clothes anyway, so that way, most of the layering problems where the underwear shows up over the clothes would be fixed...

I have my layers in this order (top of the list is first and bottom is last) and my clothes are working fine:

Body, Feet, Waist, Ankles, Fingers, Hands, Arms, Back, Overchest, Neck, Face, Head, Hat, Chest, Legs, Bottom.

The only thing that doesn't work 100% is the armwarmer on the left (my right arm) doesn't go behind the dress, but it's not very noticeable so I don't mind at all.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I think letting us turn our underwear on and off would be a great idea.
I can't get it to disappear like it used too and some of my cloths need it to disappear. I do like the system though. Once I figured it out, it was great. Now I can wear messanger bags.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

The only problem I have, now that you've updated it, is that the default order is backwards. Who puts their shoes on before their pants? It would make more sense to me to start with Hat and end with Feet, since most layering is done top to bottom. As it is I have to completely switch the order for it to work correctly.

This guy totally reminds me of Raito from Deathnote. With that expression, he could pass off for Raito. xD And I see that I'm not the only one who noticed this.

New way is bit prettier, BUT DEAR SUBETA! UNDERWEAR IS SHOWING UP EVERYTHING! I DONE EVERYTHING BUT NOTHING HAPPENED! DO SOMETHING WITH UNDERWEAR!!~!!!!! PLEASH!

oh sorry for double posting, but also on the new clothing i am not sure but the bloody sunday pants are not layers like the other pants. i can easily bring the belt over other pants, but it doesn't work normally for the new pants, i think they are cat. as something else...

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

This new way doesn't work either....T_T, at least before i could fix it but now i can't! Please say there is a way to like disable it if you want! My angel wings are blocking my face and nothings working! T_T It's a great idea technically but.........it's driving me and by the looks of it a lot of other people mad!! Y.Y

i like the update you made. The areas are allot easier to move. What does the 0 stand for? What happened to the overchest? I love the layering system allot and look forward to the modifications i'll be able to make. Maybe the next step can be that you rearranging the wardrobe by sections so we know which item falls under that category this way you don't have to list it in the desc of the item, because like right now my bag is under my belt and pants but i can't figure out which section to move it from.

"Needs some fine tuning, but its a wonderful idea. However two of my choices just turned themself to "0" and my headphones will not appear around my neck."

I have exactly the same problem. Necklaces refuse to be put over clothes, and even when the avatar is naked, the necklace won't appear.

Haha I thought I was the only one with the underwear problem xD Mine worked just fine til I started messing with the layer order, and now it won't go back to the way it was.

It would be better if we know what items coresponds to what part of the layers.

Like.....is a tail part of the back...? Or the bottom? Or is it the waist?
I DON'T KNOW! XDXD

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Mauve is a nice addition to Subeta but I dont know about the layering system.. Maybe there should be a thing to choose to enable or disable it? Because now my clothes won't layer properly and I think its causing more problems than helping them.

Yeah, it's a good idea in essence but it keeps causing problems......i had to reverse the entire order of it before anything would show up properly and it was annoying because i took ages to figure out that that was what i needed to do. I like it but maybe there should be some way of disabling it and enabling it whenever you want, that way if you just want it normal it won't cause any hassle.

Wow, I appreciate what you were trying to do, but you actually made the problem worse... Some things just don't even show up anymore and every time I go back to the layering system to adjust the order, it goes back to default. My bra either disappears entirely OR it's above my jacket, assuming the jacket ever goes on (typically doesn't). Yeah... I think there's bugs still.

o.o Everything on my avatar got all wonky. And everytime I 'refresh' that new page, it goes back to the default layering. So I don't even know if it's working. It doesn't really seem to be. It just totally messed up my avatar. XD

I don't really get it either. It's really frustrating because the default underwear is getting in the way of everything else. Sigh And I liked my avatar's outfit too..

Why such a tall NPC? ^^

Anyway, I'm stumped as to how in the world to work this thing It keeps popping all over the page (it's worse than the pet ordering thing), while the only thing I want is to have my wings behind everything else. Perhaps when it calms down a bit I'll try again...

Do you think it would be possible to add a 'restore to default' button? That way if you mess up the layers, you can set them back and start over? I think that would be incredibly helpful!

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

This is awesome

Works perfectly for me -messes around with different avatar styles-

But yeah, a reset to default at the bottom would be very good x3.

Death Note was the first thing that crossed /my/ mind, aswell. xD I've been so obssessed with the anime, it's not even funny! =x Ahh Raito-Kun is so awesome.

Arbor rocks - even if it WAS unintentional. xD I love his eye colors, and expression above all. =D RARING GOOD JOB, MATEY.

I'm so glad I don't need to use that Layers thing for awhile... xD; Everyone's saying its confusing! I haven't tried it yet, but I'd take their word for it.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

That's the first think that crossed my mind -- he reminds me so much of Light/Raito from Death Note. XD Something about the two seems so similar. Haha.

... I've screwed up. :/ None of my underwear stays under and everything's died. Argh. x.x;;
