I've decided I'm giving up on TOT until Amber 'fixes' it. I don't really need a lot of the old items like I need several copies of the new ones that I'm not getting at all. It just feels like I'm wasting my time refreshing to get non-expired links and getting nothing that I want or need.

I'm all up for staff trying to experiment and try something new but.. this was REALLY poorly executed.. </3 I've barely gotten the new items, even WITH people tot-ing me (thanks tot guide) and ever since the old items got added to the pool all I get ARE the old items.. All for new/returning players getting stuff they missed and whatnot but i think the chances need to be tweaked a little

To add to my previous post, I was looking at the user price of new items. The 4 items in group 12 (which is the majority of the people) are worth aroung 3-4k. In the other 11 groups, most items currently have a minimum user price of 100k with several still in the millions. smh It's not about getting everything all at once, but the inequity is glaring.

The arguments of "newer and reuring users are probably happy for the amount of old items" is kind of moot when all they're getting is spellweave tops too. I have a friend who made his account about 5 years ago but was never active and this year he's really getting into Subeta but all he's getting is the spellweave tops too and he's frustrated.

I didn't really want to complain, but it's getting to the point where it is kind of frustrating now. I get not wanting everyone to get all of the new items in the first couple of days, but now we're halfway through the event and there are still some new items in the millions of sP range in user shops. I've been ToT-ing pretty much all weekend, targeting the specific houses/groups I need items from (so not even trying to blame random ToT or anything), and yet I've gotten what feels like maybe 5(?) of the new items in the past couple of days. And it's just kind of annoying to come back to the comments where it feels like concerns are being ignored in favor of "this is just how it's going to be this year" :/

Besides the seemingly lower possiblity of getting new items and the deflation in the worth of older items (loss of profit on anything we saved to resell or loss of worth if we were gifting), the skew of people getting tot'd is ridiculous. The majority of us are group 12, so the few people in all the other 11 groups will have the majority of extra new items because everyone is toting them and they get an extra item every 5th tot. No one needed to tot anyone from group 12 after day one because we all had the 4 items there.

If new/returning people want last years items, they can just... buy them? There are absolutely morostide items that are old and unpurchasable at this point, but they're from like 2013. Candy Skull Beanbags have a now unachievable achievement. But no, 30 spellweave tops for everyone. This years item's are so awesome, absolutely love all the pumpkin patch ones, and I don't mind at all that there are less this year than previously (i would not have even realized that if it hadn't been announced). I think it feels an awful lot like if I want this years adorable items, I'm going to have to pick them up next year when they are distributed at the same frequency as last year's spellweave tops and long lurbys.

Having the number of new items spread evenly over the 12 groups automatically creates an imbalance. How many (active) users are there in groups 1-4? I would assume that a majority of (active) users is in the groups 8 or higher, so the majority of items should be given out via those groups. I also spent several days now trying to tot' only at group 1, and haven't gotten all of the new items yet.

That said - I love this years items! ❤

Letting people have a chance at older items is good and all but one has to realize that FOUR years worth of old items is ludacris, right? I'm a returning player, I don't need four years worth of old stuff, Its insane

It's gotten better but I still run into times where I get the same item multiple times in a row. I don't know if it just my bad luck or small item pool... I'm just random toting like I normally do though yeah, new items seem scarce (not the barbarian doll or cherry hat gummy as those two seem to be the new ones I get multis of back to back lol). Not good for my hoarder self. I say as I stuff the multis of old items into my vault to never see the light of day again

I'm done ToTing. I bought 99% of the new items I needed. It's not fair to have the new items go out the odd time so the value doesn't decrease, but it's ok for the older items to go out all the time to make them barely worth anything? I hope next year will be better

I know you hat giving the newbies and returning players a chance to get old stuff is good…..but I’m pretty sure they’d like to get the new stuff too and not a billion copies of the Pastel Witch Purple Spellweave Top. Which I’ve been getting over and over no matter who I tot.

I don't mind the older items so much, but having four years worth of tot items active at the same times is madness. All things being equal that gives us about a 1 in 7 chance of getting something new, except there is something seriously wonky going on, so in reality it's even less than that.

Have the 2024 items go out with one other year's items. Change that other year every day or two. It's so dispiriting the way it is now.

You can tell, people are desperately trying at their preferred group and not using Random ToT (much), because I wake up to 1 or no events... All of yesterday I did not manage to get a single book!!! One of them is actually unavailable in shops and trades! The old items are not worth much, anyway. No need to make them even more worthless (like soooo many other things). New users can buy those from the others. I'm looking at site items with a price of 9 000 000 000 sP, and wondering, how we are supposed to raise that much money, when former good chance of income - retired items - have been turned into worthless junk, the userbase has shrunk big time, anyway, but Token Shop items for example restock in the same amount as they used to in the good old times for 1000 users online. Mind you, good for me in the way, that I can buy as many as I need for my own, but resell value/customers don't exist...

We'll take this under consideration for next year, and how we stage the items. However, a few things to keep in mind:

There are still a significant number of new users, or returning users, who don't have extensive backlogs of items from previous years. To them, old items are still new items
If we had priority on new items, they'd flood the market and become worthless in a few days

Our goal is to not make it possible to get all of the new items, without paying a high price, in the first few days. When we have less new items to release, we have to increase the balance. By the end of the holiday you will absolutely have all of the items that you're looking for!

Does that mean, instead of upping the chance of getting this year's ToT items, these are now competing with even more old stuff? Why didn't you withdraw 2023, like you did with the Patch? Which, btw., is pretty biased itself. Of the 3 books I get one repeatedly, while the other 2 are extremely rare.

Same mess as Keel Holiday was this year :-(

In 2 days I've gotten one new item off ToT and a bunch of old stuff..I appreciate what we're trying to do here by giving old items but I'd like to get new stuff too, and not have to wait until next year when it's a rerun to do so lol

Pumpkin Patch has been giving new-to-me items since it's 2018 and 2024. It's been great! ToT, however, is a mess with four years of items in the mix. Hopefully ToT gets shaken up soon.

I'm super frustrated with the ToTing. I keep tons of old items and hardly any new items. I get TONS of older items (mainly pastel witch), so I ended up buying all the new items. Another user was very kind and sent me some of the newer food items

Also if it helps any, there are achievements for having your house egged/tp'd a set number of times, achievements for egging/tp'ing a number of times, and two items to be found (a sad egg and sad tp roll) at random while doing the associated activities. I feel like some users might be doing what I'm doing, which is ToT-ing and then egging the same house to get the achievements for egging a set amount of times. Saves time versus posting in the egg/tp threads, and since I have all the achievements for having other people hit me and it's harmless/doesn't do anything except give the alert.
