🔒 Authentication Fixes

If you've been having issues logging in for the last two weeks, I'm incredibly sorry. After making the change to the new authentication system, a (very large) handful of users could no longer access their account, and the new lost password flow didn't work correctly.

I've fixed the issue, so if you're still not able to log in, please make your way to kumos login page and start the lost password flow. You'll get an email, and be able to set a new password.

We've created a new free gift page that gives you a visit for the bath house days, updates your melody achievement and some CSC for the trouble. I know this doesn't give the prizes for those bath house / melody days, but we'll be making those items available (like always! we hate gateekeeping melody items!) soon.

My bathhouse days and minion bonding keep resetting, sometimes only one and sometimes both. Still cant claim free gift either

Bathhouse finally unstuck for me. I think I was given 3 or 4 extra and it seemed to be stuck for those 3 or 4 days. So, while the intention was there to help add days that people missed, it just kinda canceled itself out. I didn't miss any days to begin with because I was always able to log in so this doesn't matter to me but I have a funny feeling that's whats happening to people. 15 extra days = 15 days it's gonna be stuck basically? I could be wrong.

ADMINS PLEASE DO NOT BAN THIS ACCOUNT OR MY ORIGINAL ACCOUNT.

I am doing absolutely nothing on this account and plant to abandon/delete it ASAP, but no matter what I do I still cannot access my original account, allnightforever. I have spent a lot of time and even money on this site, I do not want to lose everything and I’m getting frustrated at this point. I can’t log in, I tried support twice already, and I’m not getting a reset link for my password in my email. I don't know what else to do.

Uh, so my bathhouse days wasn't broken before accepting this gift, but now they are broken? I'm pretty sure I accepted the gift yesterday, or the day before, and I can't accept today's bathhouse day now and am stuck at 31 days? No button is showing up to click for today.

So while I'm appreciative of the fix and finally being able to get back in, this was still incredibly frustrating. I've been trying to make my way back into the site after being gone for ages, and it's disappointing to see that it's a lot of "same problems, different day" that it was years ago. I'm going to stick around because like before, there are elements of the site that I enjoy and I miss the social aspect of the friends that I made years ago, it's just sad to know that I need to go in with the same measured expectations of before. (And yes I'm glad that "this is supposed to be the big fix to fix it all moving forward!" but I also feel like I've been here long enough to remember multiple similar instances. Trying to stay optimistic, it's just hard.

https://kumos.subeta.net/thank-you is the working link. https://kumos.subeta.net/free-gift is the 404-ing link.

(and if you tarry too long on a kumos login page, you might see a "419 page expired" - in that case go back, refresh the page with the login/pass textbox and try again quicker :D ).

Whatever did you use to get that button? I have never had a problem with any of the free gifts - but the kumos-based "open gift" button behaves like I'm not there.

I've liked Subeta's interface for its simplicity (after all, if I wanted World of Warcraft, I'd go there) and if all buttons move from a working 'Free Gift' to '' that simply ignores my clicking, I won't be able to do anything at all :,(

Console shows "SyntaxError: invalid regular expression flag s app-5b235b59.js:6:80327" , if that's any use... But I have a feeling that that "wire" thing is some new-fangled API that doesn't respect browsers older than 6 months and that basic incompatibility is what the problem is, regardless of wording :((

I think I may be having an issue with the bathhouse not allowing me to take a dip today, but I don't really mind as long as I'm able to do it tomorrow without losing my streak.

Thank you for this gift! And thank you for trying to make the page more secure. I understand there is a bit of confusion if this is for all or just for those who actually were effected. I heard that it was confirmed on discord that it was indeed a free gift for all.

My kid has a similar issue to - their email they used to sign-up with years ago no longer exists. He sent an email to support @ subeta.net a few days ago but has yet to hear anything back yet. Should I open a support ticket for another player?
