Hydragellos Update!

Beating up on the Hydragellos has been super painless so far, right? Definitely hasn't felt like we're moving through gelatin whenever we try to battle, or anything!

I, of course, have been zipping along carving chunks out of this thing at super speed -- I've been moving so fast that it feels like all of you are in slow motion! I got a little carried away, in fact, and now I don't think Hydragellos can handle a whole pile of people doing 15 million damage each to him. Tell you what, if you do just 10 million damage by Thursday at 10pm instead, I'll make you that core I promised you. If you can't quite hit that mark, don't worry, I'll still have other prizes for you. We got a deal?

Sorry. It was 18k per 5min. My battle buddy noticed it took her forever to hit the 10mill mark. A few other users also noticed a wonky calculator

No it doesn't. It took me five hours to gain 2mill and based on my math, I should've been further ahead. I was loosing about 18k per round because the tracker isn't calculating correctly

My pet hit the 10 million last night but I didn't get an event or a mystery item appear in inventory like my friend did so maybe it was a glitch that's been fixed. This is the 1st year that I've been able to get enough points to get the prize. :)

I'm feeding my pet to fight, but it still says HUNGRY PETS and doesn't offer her up to fight. Is this a known issue or something?

thanks for lowering the required damage. but it really sucks that the weekend is not available for battling, I only have 2 hours per day for this battling and it isn't sufficient with my T12 pet :( furthermore, it looks like the damage tracker doesn't take into account all damage done !! :(

Some people missed the 10m mark and are going well past it instead of jumping to the next pet :(! I'd hate to be that person so trying to get the message out :)

You can get 10 million each on multiple pets to get more prizes below the Core though. Cranberry said so below.

I would also like to know how these hidden items are viewed, you can't look up rarity 300 items and I don't think it shows up if you view the page source either, so how?

I have a question. I know you can't have more than one core per account, but if you use the core to make a Maniacal Essence one year, could you get another to makes the Maniacal Slappy Hand in a future year?

People have found new items hidden in the Directory. No idea how much damage they’ll require, but they look to be well worth the effort.

It looks like they add one new item per war just based on what I could tell from the info off SubetaLodge on defeating Hydragellos - last time was a book. Everything previously given has been released again except a background that was given in 2017 that didn't come back last year. So there will probably be one new something but idk if it's going to be a weapon (it seems unlikely).

fair enough. I have more than enough sp. What I want are new weapons or items to earn. As of right now, it seems like grinding out 10,000 points on items I already have isn't worth my time. I wish they would offer new items.

They don't ever tell us that. As of now there's nothing new in the directory. The core is the only prize that requires 10m damage for sure. They've never told us what the damage requirement tiers are to hit the other prizes in full except for the core until after the event is over.

yes, I'm aware that the core can be used in other ways, thanks. My question was if there would be new prizes. I'm not sure if I want to grind out ten thousand wins for nothing new.

It's definitely better than no adjustment and I'll admit I honestly didn't think we'd see a drop to 10m. I'm going to do my best to hit it, today the lag seems a lot less so that is really helpful and allowed me to get some in this morning before work and during my breaks at work on my phone. I did about as much damage today alone as I was able to manage for the previous 3 days combined - so we shall see.

The core is used in 2 other weapons alongside being a weapon and a wearable in it's own right (and both of those other weapons are wearables as well). There's always additional prizes (anyone who earns the core will earn all of the other prizes as well) and the additional prizes can be won in multiples if you battle with additional pets. They never release the damage tiers to get all prizes up to the core so it's a gamble on how much damage is needed per pet to get multiples of everything. Also if you get another core for hitting 10m and don't want/need it to make other weapons you can always sell it for a hefty profit.

They’re available from defeating Cinthilocks and Gelatin Stomper five times if you want to try earning them in the future! But any three of the ones I listed will do.

I would also aim to build a Volatile Energized Mecha and Intricate Energized Helmet with your battle tokens at some point. They’re very helpful at your tier!

That still works the same. You only get one core but you can earn multiples of other stuff.

tier 7 pet has poked at the hydragellos 10 times for a grand total of 2k damage. yeah, i don't have even the ghost of a chance of getting anywhere near 10m by thursday. 😆 i dout hydragellos even knew my pet was there poking at it. 😂

I would opt for more bomb weapons in your set. You have five constant attackers and really only need to use two!

Depending on what you own something like:

Out of your constant attackers I would use Cursed Liquid Fire Torch and Prodigys Eyeball since they both have a lot of fire icons. But use the bombs on the turns he is frozen to maximize your damage. It’s hard to survive very long given how strong the Hydragellos is so hitting him fast and hard is usually the best method for uncapped pets.

If you get one pet to 10 million you get all prizes. Is it still worth battling with secondary pets to get multiples of the prizes below the Core? It worked that way in the past and news originally made it seem worth doing. But now servers are on fire so....

The Eternal Flame I used too a while ago. I am still trying to find out if I get better results with the Fire Torch I am using right now. Not sure yet.

Hmm... Smee does 800 - 900 points of damage per battle. He's done 10k worth of damage so far... Does saying "Maybe next year?" sound too optimistic?

My pet is Tier 12 too! I do between 1500-3000 damage a turn. This is my set:

Scrolls: x7

I open with STS and my freezer, and follow with boosts and bombs. The ME and Natasha are my main attackers (unfortunately I do not have Cronus or Ballista), and both have 4 on them. I start using my shrieks on Turn 3 and use Rainbow Vortex to block if I have the opportunity, just to squeeze out another turn + more damage. You could swap this out for another bomb if you wanted. Apparently my RV has a freezing baguette on it, so sometimes it adds another freeze too! I've been doing 20kish damage a battle, if my freezing luck is good. About 200k every cache update. Currently sitting at 6m damage from battling yesterday before/after work and this morning before work.

People, we want to reduce the strain on the server, not add more. We don't want people to go past 10m. There will not be extra prizes for people who go past 10m. If you go past 10m you are wasting your time!

My pet is tier12 and I am not even near 2 m damage. I do not get a turn over 4000 damage mostly just between 1000 -2500 as far as I know. I do not have any idea what tier and which weapons my pet needs to make the amount of 10 mil possible. The progress I make is very slow, even with 2 tier 11 weapons. I do not have any idea if this is normal or if I am doing anything wrong while battling.
