Thanks Jess, I hadn’t considered the Fatale Figurine, though I do have the other two. And to be clear, soon after I posted my frustration at my perception of the situation, a friend suggested the same thing as , and rather quickly I could see the error of my reasoning. But after having posted, and corrections coming up, I had to post a reply admitting the mistake, but also still acknowledging a more likely cause of disappointment.

Captured Eternal Flame always seemed like a weapon I could get when I finally reached Tier 10, because as you say it was so cheap. It’s doubly frustrating because I really like speed scaling weapons. It’s just a sort of unfortunate event I come across with kind of a few battle items.

I can say for certain that the person with many copies of that item on the user shop search earned the items themselves. Where the rest of the cheaper ones went, I have no idea, but I share your disappointment that someone could have possibly bought them up. Captured Eternal Flame has been one of the cheapest T10 weapons for years and it’s saddening to see the price jump so much. Hopefully it was just a temporary increase in demand due to a lot of people battling right now.

If you’re looking for a cheaper option, Item Hunters Bomb, Acorn Bomb, or the Porcelain Femme Fatale Figurine in the Crystal Shop would also work well. There’s also Weapons - Borrowing & Lending if you ever need to borrow something.

You’re right, I’ll adjust my previous statements, because I can’t be certain it’s a buyup/resell situation. While it’s true that people could do that without penalty, perhaps this isn’t an example of that. Thanks for pointing that out. If that’s not what’s bothering me, then maybe it’s a bit more complex.

People can have 20+ pets able to defeat tier 11+ opponents, and the prices they set are totally up to them, though that seems rather extreme to me. More so when those prices are set to 100mil. I admit I’m annoyed at the outrageous price being an unrealistic goal that essentially says it was never an option, and maybe that was the crux of my frustration at first. But then, that kind of leads into my point which wasn’t directed at individual users:

The site doesn’t really seem to have a solution for short supply of battle items; whether that’s from people selling at whatever high price they want that people can’t afford (admittedly more likely than them reselling), or from battles needing such items and/or extremely high stats to win and complete achievements for said items even once. I certainly don’t have a tier11 pet to beat Flamagia so I can get the tier10 weapon, for instance. And while that’s no one else’s issue to deal with, it sucks to not be able to participate in events in the way I know I could have when an item was, say.. 6.5mil compared to 100mil.

So perhaps more frustrating than any potential buying/reselling (that probably isn’t happening), I guess is any of the obstacles that prevent people from improving due to unattainable things. The amount of time spent to attain them is often unrealistic for me, or I imagine, some other people as well.

Before the site made loot prizes achievement prizes anyone with multi pets could get one per pet if they reached whatever the drop was. In case of the Captured Eternal Flame,

You cant blame people for beating the game.

Thanks for the update! Cutting it down to 10 mil leaves me at needing ~57,500 fights - and about 67 million sp worth of healing. Ha... i know when to take my losses and run. Have fun everyone! off to train my pet up sommore

It's pretty baseless to say that because someone is selling a lot of copies of a particular weapon, they're automatically buying them all up and reselling them. Numerous users have multiple pets and get multiple copies of battle loot with them. :x

It doesn’t help that people do things like buy up every one of an affordable weapon and resell it at an exorbitant cost. There are no rules against it, sure, but it’s a sure fire way to make sure others can’t improve. Check out that Captured Eternal Flame, for instance. I’m not close to tier10, so I was waiting to buy one of those, but now I never can even though my pet is mostly speed.

The site isn’t set up to really help people in situations like distant goals or short supply. We just have to wait for them to release something new and hope we can get it without the weapons that exist.

If there's going to be an award for getting 15m there needs to be an announcement way before the rewards are released. Otherwise there's going to be some angry users who could have hit 15m but stopped at the new 10m, me being one as I don't want to add to the site lag with battling more.

Besides, I thought staff said they were not going to do the "surprise unannounced rewards" anymore.

I can only dream of new weapons, but one day, I'd love to have some good ones! For now, I'll stick to what I have. I spent a lot of SP on boosters and I bought one new semi-good scroll that was affordable. Yay? lol

With a tier8 pet, the 10m feels rather out of range. That’s ok though, I just wish there were some other weapon rewards at lower damage goals. This is my first gelatin war, I did aaaalllll 2500 minis; got the slayer. Excited to reach tier 9 one day. Wishing a little that battle items in general were more obtainable. I’ve gone completely broke gathering new battle items in preparation for the event. _

I go broke every battle event.

I hit the 15mil last night. Glad to see this lowered, as getting to 15mil was hell.

I'm happy to see that hopefully more people will have an opportunity to get a core, which I feel is an incredibly helpful weapon for a growing battle population. :)

For those who've hit 15m total damage, I think that'd at least deserve a forum title or some sort of achievement/recognition - especially since it'd already been announced that 15m was the minimum to get a core. Maybe "Adventurer the Overkiller" or Adventurer: Hydra Slaughterer" or something else hardcore lol.

It was awarded based on whoever got the last hit, I believe. Maybe Staff plans on changing it, or they might need a reminder to retire it.

I don't suppose if anything is changing with the Slay the Hydragellos achievement?

I spent time and effort into training, but I don't have time to battle all day as I work mornings and afternoons. I try to battle as much as I can in between my schedule. I get that not everyone can have a core. I'm actually pretty impressed that I've gotten this far when 3 years ago, I couldn't even do a Gelly Stomper. Plus I have 2.3mill in Hydro boss damage ^^;

Unless they change how it works, it's probably a no. I'm petty sure nobody got it last time since Hydrogellos became an infinite HP boss.

It had been done easier in the past. When the top 25? top 10? for each tier got a core. That was done 2 years in a row. I believe. 10 million for a decent pet with decent weapons is doable. They could have gone old school & have the top 25 people with the highest damage getting one. & If you wanted one back then you had to sit on here for hours on end & hope for the best. 11 years ago no one in the top 25/26 cracked 10 million. Only 4 people were over 5 million. & i could probably be 99.9% right in saying that if they did it that way today the top 25/26 would easily all be over 10 million. My point is is that it is much easier to win one these days.

People moaning about 15/10m damage not being achievable for most people- that’s the whole point. If you’ve dedicated time and effort into training your pets, using tomes etc, then why should the target be achievable to most people? The core becomes worthless if everyone has one for participating or doing a moderate amount of damage- that’s why there are tiers to prizes so people who pour time into training and battling get rewarded

We're unable to extend the event because it's costing the site a lot of money to keep the extra servers going, which is why we lowered damage requirements instead. You can see Keith's explanation and ask questions in the comments of the most recent Announcement.

Yup! At this point, I'm done. If I'm not going to be awarded 100% of my damage, then what's the point? I should be further along.

My gut is telling me that it's not calculating correctly either. I've been keeping an eye on my battles, my T9 hits between 700-1100 per round. Even with minimum damage every time, I should be above 70,000 at this point. My score is reading at 47,450. Based on that, it seems like I'm only getting credit for 60% of my damage.

I'm disappointed overall. No extension was granted and yes, it was knocked from 15 to 10, but that's not achievable for a lot of people. I don't think I'll be bothering anymore. I'm not even getting exp, so I might as well just do my battle quests

A bit disappointing. I was gonna grind away at it today but I should be much further ahead than what it's got me at. I'll end up spending more in healing than if I just wait and buy the core from someone :P

I've noticed the same thing. In two rounds I tallied my score and it added up to 37,700 damage. I then waited the 5min for the cache to update. It says my total damage is 2,106,027 when my math says it should be 2,123,164

it's gone up but it was no where a 13k increase. I'm not going to bother if i'm not getting full credit for each battle.

For example... I just had Total Damage: 13672... my damage total was 18,451... I waited 10 min just to make sure the total was updated... and it didn't go up at all.

I feel like it's not calculating my damage correctly. I've done several battles and did anywhere from 3k-10k damage. Yet my total is only like 13k. That doesn't seem right.

I'd like to know what the consolation prizes are, and if they're good bad or decent :P I know I wont be getting 10mil damage. I just can't handle battling that much, and don't have the time either. One year I'll make it, just not this one. Thanks for the reduction to help those who are closer to the goal!

Well, atleast with the lag gone 10m is much more obtainable than 15m, not that 15m was out of reach for most battlers. I'm also glad it wasn't extended, I hate events that go over due.

Just spent an hour battling and I'm up to 7.5m, will grab another hour somewhere to finish off the 15m anyway

I'm disappointed it wasn't extended a couple days since we lost the weekend to battle. Sure 10mill is a little more obtainable, but that's not going to happen for me. I have a life outside of Subeta and I don't live on the computer. I try to battle as much as I can, but I think k the core should've been awarded to everyone 🤷‍♀️

One of these years, my lil ones will be able to do some real damage. They both can only do a TINY bit of damage, compared to those with the expensive weapons, but I am still proud of my lil wee ones, and the cans o whoop-ass they dole out. 😁

I appreciate the reduction! I don't think it needs to be reduced further. There are plenty of people who have already hit 10m (and 15m, even), and we're only halfway through the time allotted.

The lag persists... only 370 online. I appreciate a reduction; however, with the lag it continues to be very difficult to advance. 10m is only one-third less yet the lag is causing much more in time delays. If the site could have continued to function like this afternoon it would have been a better chance of obtaining the 10m. It's very frustrating sacrificing hours and not making a lot of progress not because the pet is weak but because the site is slow in refreshing its pages. Please fix the lag so the 10m is realistic or decrease it to 5m. In the previous days it took 3 days to reach 1m yet this afternoon it took approx 30 min to reach 500k. Lag makes the difference between achievable or not. As no extra days are being granted, a balanced compensation should be considered. No lag 17m, severe lag taking more than 5 times what it would take usually due to site issues then at least reduce by 3 times the requirement... that's 5m.
