If you said Vesnali, then you are correct. ;) We are adjusting our holiday schedule to move Vesnali to be closer to the start of Spring rather than the end. Masquerade timing has simply been flipped with our flower-filled holiday. The flowers will start to bloom around the start of April.

Man i was really hoping we'd finally escaped those darn snowballs. Oh well.
Those are not re-enabled yet because they don't play nicely with the snowballs. It's on the list! We're just trying to get the best timeframe sorted out.
I'm happy with flipping Vesnali and Masq! Ves is much more low-key than Masq, so it's nice to have a bit of an activity buffer between Survival and Masq. Plus, April just feels like the best month for a nice springy holiday!
I have trades with snowballs (10 for10K) and snowballs in my Are you Being Served II shop if anyone would find it easier to buy them that way. :-)

Happy with the change -I do hope it also means are also being reviewed. For example, one year we had a truly amazing and fun masq event in which we even had puzzles, etc etc. Very exciting times. Nowadays it is all about dancing/kissing/flower/ the user above you in the forums.

Vesnali is one of my least favorite Subeta holidays so nice to get it over with before wonderful Masquerade appears.
The holiday switch makes sense, Vesnali feels a bit less involved and is a good breather in between Survival & Masquerade. Alsooo Iâm excited to see how peopleâs Masq HAs will differ based on the seasons!

I was looking forward to Masq, but I'm also looking forward to Vesnali with lots of nice flowers and stuff. And with Survival starting later in February and ending in March, changing the holidays around and having the next one start in early April rather than late March makes more sense. And even though it's still interaction-based, it does feel a bit less than Survival and Masq, maybe because there isn't a timer between giving flowers so it feels more relaxed that way?
I remember the days when Vesnali was around the middle of April and it was so soon after Masq, I was relieved when they moved it to May, but I can see why it would be confusing to be about halfway through Spring.
Little annoyed at the switch, so perhaps for making of bouquets? We could make corsages, boutonniere to wear for Masquerade please^^
I already have my Spring/Vesnali outfit(s) in place, so this is fantastic news for me!

Yay! Vesnali at this time of year makes more sense to me since we're following Northern Hemisphere seasons, and I love the spring items!! As for people saying it's kind of late for snowball throwing... where I live we got 5 inches of snow last week! laughs in Midwestern
I'm thrilled at Vesnali being moved forward... as I recall, it used to happen around this time of year before Masq was a thing, and the change has always thrown me off! Just makes sense to have Vesnali first, plus personally I'm looking forward to having a more low-key event between the user-interaction-heavy Surv and Masq (hope that makes sense, wasn't sure how to word it ^^;). Thanks for the update! :)
I like this change in holiday timing. It just makes a lot more sense. I know it screwed up a lot of CW creators and sellers, however, so it would have been a little nice to have some warning, but this is a change that makes a lot of sense in the long run.
THANK YOU. Thank you sooo much for switching Masquerade and Vesnali. Vesnali doesn't belong at the end of Spring, but early-mid Spring. It just makes sense. I never liked that Masquerade came after Survival, especially as these events get delayed and extended so much.
If the DC got cleared because 40k+ items was responsible for any lag, then by all means, clear it.

Masq is hands down my favorite holiday, and I love it being moved closer to summer. Also will help with all the holidays at once, then quiet for awhile. thumbs up
Right, I get that, that was more of a "for the future" sugestion. But maybe a note of how many were in there could have been taken and then they could have been put back later when things weren't so hectic.

Sometimes for added or adjusted achievement tiers, it just needs the one more to trigger. Throw another snowball (you can target me if you want) and see if that does it? if not, file a ticket and the lovely UAs should be able to award it.
with adjusted final tier, I should have gotten the achievement already. But didnt get credit for it. I got 35,063 / 30,000 for the Throw a Snowball achievement. Please ping me, and let me know what I need to do to get this credited to me.
any news on if [item=Dr. Lockhearts Amoricide] and friends have been made useable again?
Yes, we do love the Subetan community and how generous it is, and the investment shown in sharing the candy love is amazing!
We will look into restoring some of the candy hearts, we just want to make sure we can implement something that doesn't stress the servers and don't want to promise anything prematurely.
that could be the case, but i doubt that they were all for the contest, considering the amount that was in there--im sure that a lot of people donate extras because theyre unneeded or to help out others
i threw in 100+ hearts to the DC if anyone wants. :) also, the new holiday switch kinda makes more sense to me. vesnali more close to spring & to real-life easter, and masq more close to the time where a bunch of schools irl hold their dances or whatnot. that's just my thought process
I happened to have a tab open to the DC from 10:30 this morning. There were still over 40k Candy Hearts in there at that time. :(
There's no existing code for that, unfortunately, and trying to put something together plus testing it would still leave the entire site lagging in the meantime. We realize it wasn't the perfect solution, but a decision was necessary.
Amber made a staff post about it here here, but to quote the last sentence of it, "I [Amber] bashed my head and am dealing with the health effects of that." That is still an ongoing concern.
Deleting the candy hearts was a pretty cruel trick. Super happy that Vesnali is near Spring now though. It doesn't make sense to have it at almost summer time.
Those Candy Hearts were donated to DC for part of Disasters's Survival Contest since Disasters told people they can donate Candy Hearts for points

So? They were donated. I'm not familiar with the contest you speak of but if people were incentivised to donate it was so other people could get those donations. I don't need hearts and didn't grab any so I'm not complaining because I wanted them. Just think it's uncool to trash donations.
tbh there were a TON of Candy Hearts. I half-heartedly played an still have about 200 from idle clicking. Whatever happened to the SubetaTeam account buying items in shops for whatever reason?

I feel disappointed a little bit -.- , because the previous schedule fit perfectly to my cultural and nature background, so it was more familiar to me: ->Balls season - December to March ->Carnival and Masquerade - in February or March ->May = 'time of blossoms/flowers' in my language - most of the flowers and trees are blooming here^-^ (it's also month associated with love - you should kiss your lover under the cherry tree on 1st May:D)
This change makes sense and I'm so on board. Not cool about the candy hearts disappearing from the donation center though. Personally I would never want things I donated to just dissappear. Those were ment as gifts to the people of Subeta. If things in there slow down the site then maybe like others have said put a max that can be seen at one time and "hold" the rest for later? Idk what the best way to do it would be but deleting stuff people donated is just not cool.
30K is still a stupid high amount for top tier, but its an improvement none the less. :)
well I know the whole MM as an event was basically not happening thatâs fine, but I thought there was supposed to be something with the Ice Fields releasing the items we would have gotten or something along those lines. The last thing I remember about it was an announcement that it wouldnât be done as quickly as was thought, but never saw an update on if the items would still be released that way or were already released.
