If you said Vesnali, then you are correct. ;) We are adjusting our holiday schedule to move Vesnali to be closer to the start of Spring rather than the end. Masquerade timing has simply been flipped with our flower-filled holiday. The flowers will start to bloom around the start of April.

It may take some getting used to, and I can understand the upset from people who may have been ready for Masq to start soon and now have to adjust, but in the long term I think this change makes more sense. It will be nice to have the spring holiday be more actually during the heart of spring again. Since Masquerade isn't really based on a real-world holiday, it can kind of happen whenever and still be alright. I'm glad that nothing is being removed completely though, just switched around. c:

makes sense but it's still a shame to get rid of all of them.. it was up to 60k and it was down to 45k so they were getting picked up :(
Keith was working on an update to address some things about MM people had been asking for when he caught COVID. We also had some server issues and had to switch to a less robust set-up. Unfortunately the timing for it just hasn't worked out so far, especially as Keith was working on authentication and wardrobe issues and then we hit the holiday stretch on Subeta.
I suspect the candy hearts were cleared from the DC because the sheer number of them was causing lag for the site, but I'm checking on it now and will update for sure when it's confirmed.

I’m super excited about Vesnali. I just missed it last year as I joined in July. Honestly it makes more sense for it to be before, since it’s the spring themed holiday! I can’t wait to check out Esther’s shop. So many tempting items that I’ve seen floating around but wanted to buy from the shop.

This is the most disappointing news post ever. :( I was so ready for Masq.
Every year at this time I wonder why Vesnali doesn’t come before Masq. It just makes sense to have Vesnali occur when the first flowers are popping up in real life (in the northern hemisphere) and then it gives a little breathing room to all three events, so we’re not just rushing from one to the next. Also, totally selfishly, Vesnali items are my favorite items, so super excited to be seeing them soon! But I also raise a glass to all of us in the comments with our Masq outfits already planned. I guess now we’re EXTRA prepared.

I was just prepping up for Masquerade, but I find this holiday swap where Vesnali will start closer to the beginning of Spring to make perfect sense. I’m excited to see what new flower bouquets can be made. I’m still loving the from last year! 😊 🐸

I feel hurt a little about this because I was ready for the Masquerade and now we are going to do Vesnali. That's all fine and cool so now Vesnali will come first before the Masquerade. A permanent change to Subeta calender if I am reading this correctly. Alright let me go get all my outfits ready.

It makes more sense being closed to Easter but it'll take some time to get used to.
...This is going to take some getting used to. But maybe I'll enjoy Masquerade being closer to summer. Not all holidays have to relate to real life holidays anyway, like how Neugarten got moved to summer and is more of a summer celebration thing. Maybe Masquerade could be an end of Spring celebration rather than beginning.
What about Bird Watching, though? You said you would extend it, but if Vesnali is happening within the next few weeks then we'll just go back to it not working until it's over.
Snowballs were supposed to be open until the first day of Spring. However, Survival had them shut down for a bit because of how the overlays of snowballs and infections work. Yes! That will be coming!
Always thought it would make more sense this way but now that its happening after all these years. It will be an adjustment but I hope its one we all enjoy.
I'm actually so stoked. I missed last Vesnali because I have an end of spring/summer job that requires me to live on a campus without internet until late summer so looks like I'll actually be able to hang with Esther this year! Thanks, Staff!!! ♥

Yay! I honestly prefer Vesnali in April; it just feels right to me, idk.
Honestly it makes more sense to push Masquerade into the summer, imo. A nice summertime masquerade ball where you could theoretically go outside into the courtyard, etc, vs March, which is mostly still winter and cold. We also don't have any major holidays in the summer.

It makes sense to have Vesnali at the start of Spring. My snowdrops are blooming and my daffodils/Hyacinths are coming up and Vesnali will be here at the same time. YAY!! <3 I don't mind having Masquerade after Vesnali, in May even. It gives us something to look forward to when events and holidays are spread out throughout the year. :)
Back to the boring snowball buying and throwing. I managed to hit 18k before it was shut down for survival. Onward to 19k and beyond. At least I get a laugh from the mustache snowball, it's my favorite.

Vesnali Is the Sub I like less, very little interaction comparing to great Pandemic and Masquerade, as far as Masquerade is concerned move it on may it seems to be worse than moving Vesnali in late spring. But this is only my opinion

I was excited for Masquerade, but I'm honestly more bummed about the vanished candy hearts... I love that this is a place where people donate to their fellow players and to have 50k instances of good will just.. voided out ... feels kinda sad. If having too many items in there breaks the site, could there be some sort of toggle that keeps people from donating when it's full? or a 'reserve' of donated items that don't show up until what's in there clears out? Its not like people weren't grabbing them (like with the sticker incident)
